It started small beside my nose and spread down to my neck on the left side of my face. When I was diagnosed I cried the whole day. No, the whole week. I know our face doesn't define us, but watching my face change before my eyes and not being able to stop it was so painful. It was tough on my parents too bc they saw their only daughter breaking down everyday bc she didn't feel beautiful. Meeting my friends and classmates was tough, everyone was asking what happened to my face over the summer. And I wish I had an answer. I'm honestly still upset about it, but watching Winnie gives me more confidence. I like that when I'm explaining my condition I have a SUPERMODEL to refer to "yea vitiligo like Winnie Harlow" thank you Winnie

Yes! I have vitiligo (I'm white so it's not a big deal for me) but I only have it on one side of my body (my right side). My eyelashes, part of my hair, and the tail of my right eyebrow are all white, and I have a white splotch next to my eye as well. I didn't know people got it so evenly distributed, because I've seen other people with vitiligo who only have it on one side.

This girl is amazing. I think her having the confidence to embrace her beauty is everything! I don’t know that I’d be that confident. She really is an actual good role model for people of any age but especially younger kids. She’s beautiful period but her confidence makes her even more beautiful
there has been countless reasons and things she has done about her attitude and her personality and how she treats others? There were fans of hers and some are even UA-camrs who told their experiences w/ her and how she treated them. Obv you can't believe everything people say on the Internet and some may be rumors but even on ANTM - it was clear how rude and disrespectful she is to others. I used to like her in the past but after seeing my own and understanding how rude and mean she is to others - I honestly dislike her now. I don't hate her but she really isn't a good model at all. There were many instances where she lied and broke relationships and it seems that she uses her condition as a way for an excuse for her attitude. Sure Virgilio is beautiful and if people have it- (go you!) and don't ever be ashamed for something your born with. But if you use that or whatever condition you have to - and use that to manipulate and be extremely rude to others than - there's a HUGE problem in that. It's honestly so disappointing in this and one video that showed me her personality is when in a interview she was saying that ANTM didn't at all help her in modeling and her career. And Tyra Banks didn't at all help her and it was her that led her to her career. Sure you may not like Tyra or the show you were on....but you CAN'T deny that That show was what kick started her career and that's how her fame rose. If Tyra never saw potential in her and picked her to be in the Show- SHE would never have been known as Famous as she is now and other model agencies wouldn't have asked her to be put on their show. She would have been another girl (even though she's pretty) and not as popular as now. That just showed immensely her vain and pride and how she doesn't at least give credit and being even a bit grateful for kick starting her career. Don't get me wrong thg... ANTM had a lot of faults and so did Tyra but seriously sis!! I spent almost 2 years to make myself feel better. when little devil kids bullied her when she was little and no one had ever apologized to her, i cannot imagine how desperate she was and how tough or how bitchy she had to be to protect herself. things are not that simple most of the time.

I use to wish I was white (so my spots were not so noticable) I tried everything to make my skin white but then grew to love my natural, copper / brown skin and my vitiligo. Winnie is one of those people who gives me more confidence and to appreciate my skin.

This is a great tutorial. I learned a lot. I was just diagnosed with vitiligo in April of this year even though I diagnosed myself early March of this year. I just tried some of my concealer on my lids (I’m symmetrical too) and it’s the first time since March where I feel a bit like myself. I have a few concealers so I’ll keep working on that and looking at tutorials. I loved the idea with the eye drops. Have you ever tried Pataday Eye Allergy Itch Relief drops. They have solution percentages so that might help a bit more with your eyes. I was also told by my eye doctor to put the drops in the refrigerator so when I use them it helps sooth my eyes. Just an idea for you. Thank you so much for sharing.

I also suffered Vitiligo. It's really hard for me because not everyone can accept my different skin tones. Everytime I go outside, I need to wear make up to cover it. Make up became my mask to cover my insecurity. Until now...I still don't have any courage to show my ugly side. Hopefully in the future, I can be brave and Confident like Winnie🥺❤️

ye23 maybe because it’s raining and so cold dry outside, you know sunscreen is supposed to be for summer not for snow or cold weather, sunscreens still contain chemicals so better use it when it’s sunny outside exempt if you are a ginger or sensitive to sun so use sunscreen when it’s up to 3uv, where i live in winter the best uv reach to 1 i don’t see until summer, sunshine gives you good mood and helps you sleep at night most for people with brown eyes they tend to get depressed without getting sunshine for a while, so don’t stay in sun for long time that’s mostly in summer, sorry for my english
Desert Moon no honey you are wrong. dermatologists recommend wearing sunscreen everyday, regardless of the weather. You still get sun exposure when its cloudy and grey outside. Also this was filmed in September so it wasnt cold
@@desertmoonlee6631 - The sun emits UV rays 24/7/365. It doesn't matter what the weather is, sunscreen needs to be worn anytime you're outside or inside by a window. And if you live on or near the equator, sunscreen with SPF and with UV/UVB+ is a must.

This girl is amazing. I think her having the confidence to embrace her beauty is everything! I don’t know that I’d be that confident. She really is an actual good role model for people of any age but especially younger kids. She’s beautiful period but her confidence makes her even more beautiful
there has been countless reasons and things she has done about her attitude and her personality and how she treats others? There were fans of hers and some are even UA-camrs who told their experiences w/ her and how she treated them. Obv you can't believe everything people say on the Internet and some may be rumors but even on ANTM - it was clear how rude and disrespectful she is to others. I used to like her in the past but after seeing my own and understanding how rude and mean she is to others - I honestly dislike her now. I don't hate her but she really isn't a good model at all. There were many instances where she lied and broke relationships and it seems that she uses her condition as a way for an excuse for her attitude. Sure Virgilio is beautiful and if people have it- (go you!) and don't ever be ashamed for something your born with. But if you use that or whatever condition you have to - and use that to manipulate and be extremely rude to others than - there's a HUGE problem in that. It's honestly so disappointing in this and one video that showed me her personality is when in a interview she was saying that ANTM didn't at all help her in modeling and her career. And Tyra Banks didn't at all help her and it was her that led her to her career. Sure you may not like Tyra or the show you were on....but you CAN'T deny that That show was what kick started her career and that's how her fame rose. If Tyra never saw potential in her and picked her to be in the Show- SHE would never have been known as Famous as she is now and other model agencies wouldn't have asked her to be put on their show. She would have been another girl (even though she's pretty) and not as popular as now. That just showed immensely her vain and pride and how she doesn't at least give credit and being even a bit grateful for kick starting her career. Don't get me wrong thg... ANTM had a lot of faults and so did Tyra but seriously sis!! She truly isn't a role model and it just saddens me to see people thinking this when not many don't her true character and how she treats her fans.

This is a great tutorial. I learned a lot. I was just diagnosed with vitiligo in April of this year even though I diagnosed myself early March of this year. I just tried some of my concealer on my lids (I’m symmetrical too) and it’s the first time since March where I feel a bit like myself. I have a few concealers so I’ll keep working on that and looking at tutorials. I loved the idea with the eye drops. Have you ever tried Pataday Eye Allergy Itch Relief drops. They have solution percentages so that might help a bit more with your eyes. I was also told by my eye doctor to put the drops in the refrigerator so when I use them it helps sooth my eyes. Just an idea for you. Thank you so much for sharing.

I also suffered Vitiligo. It's really hard for me because not everyone can accept my different skin tones. Everytime I go outside, I need to wear make up to cover it. Make up became my mask to cover my insecurity. Until now...I still don't have any courage to show my ugly side. Hopefully in the future, I can be brave and Confident like Winnie🥺❤️

My concern was she didnt use any sunscreen. Vitiligo gets worse with sun exposure so I dont know why she doesnt wear it
ye23 maybe because it’s raining and so cold dry outside, you know sunscreen is supposed to be for summer not for snow or cold weather, sunscreens still contain chemicals so better use it when it’s sunny outside exempt if you are a ginger or sensitive to sun so use sunscreen when it’s up to 3uv, where i live in winter the best uv reach to 1 i don’t see until summer, sunshine gives you good mood and helps you sleep at night most for people with brown eyes they tend to get depressed without getting sunshine for a while, so don’t stay in sun for long time that’s mostly in summer, sorry for my english
Desert Moon no honey you are wrong. dermatologists recommend wearing sunscreen everyday, regardless of the weather. You still get sun exposure when its cloudy and grey outside. Also this was filmed in September so it wasnt cold
Sunscreen is for 365 days a year during the daytime.
