Such a breath of fresh air to see a Heavyweight who actually uses skill and technique to win.
Gane and Aspinall are my favourite heavyweights for this reason.
Gane, Blaydes, Rozenstruik, Volkov, Miocic and Aspinall all do that.

Yeah just like Joshua in boxing, they are cold blooded, very confident in themselves. Being able to stay composed in these situations is one of the best quality, he just should not under estimate his opponent like AJ did against ruiz, that was his first time in US and he wanted to finish in spectacular fashion but it wasnt him and i think he learned his lesson.
Its funny and scary how they look so similar physicaly, mentally and in their fights lol

Ciryl has everything height, reach, athleticism, striking, speed, kicks, grappling, subs. He could be a big star in the future
His grappling is still not the best but when you pair it with his elite striking it’s more than good enough. Plus his subs are decent.
Maybe a not the one strike KO power.
I think the HW division in 3 coming years will be a story between him, Francis and Jones.

Cyril gonna clean up his next fight too, he is too technical for anyone other than Stipe
Gane is advancing his game at a rapid rate, he's very athletic with solid fight IQ. A little more defensive movement and he's about as well rounded as can be found in the HW division.

I’ve had the pleasure of training with tanner once or twice when he was doing grappling at hayabusa in Edmonton. Was so hard seeing him get worked by a dude with a reach, height, weight, and technical advantage 😓

He's so relaxed in his standup and has so many weapons. Gane and Rozenstruik by far the best prospects in the HW division. Almost sad they have to fight eachother so soon as I can see both make a run at the belt
Rozenstruik is like a fish out of water on the ground. See the Overeem fight, but Gane has got excellent subs. Gane is the better prospect on paper. Of course, on the night, anything can happen.

Yep. Turned his head away from the strike because he was done and that made the elbow hit the back of his head.
He’s been constantly complaining that it was illegal since then as though Gane was supposed to stop the elbow in the last millisecond when he saw his head turned away.

Gane would most likely win by decision? Lewis is a counter puncher and Cyril would boxe Derrick out range with more activity. Anything can happen in the HW division though..

@@dariancrenshaw7576 different kinds of fighting styles. Curtis only uses his striking to setup a takedown but Cyril is a seriously good Muay Thai striker that happens to have really good submissions

Gane no doubt is an amazing fighter. Dude looks like he could be a real threat in the UFC. But only time will tell if he can beat NGannou and then his final test OG Stipe. Hope he can do big things.
He's already stated he'd fight Ngannou only for the title, as they were from the same team.

Stipe going to be fading soon though, he’s already 40 with milage on him. When they meet I don’t think Stipe will have much to offer. I’m actually afraid for the ngannou 2. The only weakness Stipe might have will be his durability.(if he’s compromised after those wars in all last 4 of his fights)

JDS is one of my fav fighters but he was never the same after Cain valasques 2&3rd fight. What a good time it was in the heavyweight era with Cain and Junior. Props to this dude for winning.

They actually didn't spar that much according to Ciryl's interviews. They don't even know each other really well he said even tho both have been trained by Fernand Lopez.

He moves so fast and light and uses Muay Thai in a way I haven't seen any Heavyweight do in a while. Flying knees, crisp quick elbows and beautiful technique. I think I've become a fan of Gane.

This guy has the potential to become the best heavyweight striker of all time. The way he mixes his punches, kicks, knees and elbows is outstanding. There hasn't been so proficient kickboxer/muay thai fighter in the heavyweight division since prime Mirko and Overeem.
It’s nice to see a humble, modest fighter...who just happens to be awesome!
His fighting style and stance kinda reminds me of Jon Jones and Luke Rockhold.
JDS turtles up all the time, he's just in there for the check, he's a gate keeper and has no hunger to keep fighting when in deep waters. Stop giving him fights im tired of seeing him quit.
