I‘ve been watching your videos for so long that I pretty much knew everything you said and still loved watching this! The PERFECT overview of how to do DLP the right way!
I found the best thing to do is to have a breakfast reservation in the park for 8:15, they let you into the park at 8:00a.m gives you time to get photos in front of the castle before any crowds. Then have your breakfast as it is buffet, which is not great as food can be warm at best and while your going to get your food if you haven't left a coat or something at your table, your table gets given away. If you finish this breakfast before 8:30 a.m before park opens to hotel guests you are already roughly at Cinderella's castle in the park. They have to get through the gate and then run up main st. Just to get to where you are. I did have some people run to the castle when i had entered the park at 8:30 a.m but as i had already done the photos of the castle there was no need to beat them there. As i could wander off to Big Thunder Mountain and be the first person there. As you mostly get castle runners for the perfect photo they have to rush as they have seconds before the other people get there. If you want to avoid the castle runners the breakfast is great as a lot less people in the park than when the hotel guests are allowed in.
I got to Disney after 4pm from the train dropped my bags at Disney Express and went to the parks first i did Studios park completed all rides within a hour and then went onto the main park, I got to most of the things I wanted to do before leaving the park at 8:00pm as i had to book into hotel get my room number. As a travel day it had been a long day and i had to be up early for my breakfast reservation the next day. Being in Studios park after 3pm means queue times were short. I got a lot done which meant i could relax and just take my time as i had already been on the rides multiple times. Sometimes it is not all about the shows and the rides, but to really have a walk about take your time et familiar with the park. As a kid I have been on some of rides before so if i missed them it didn't bother me as i had been on them before. This time i am looking more towards the dining and different experience's Disney has to offer. One thing i also like to do is to go through each queue line single rider vs normal entry. I wont pay for premium access and mostly you could tell when the queue line went for that. Sometimes single rider is good if you can miss the pre show, which can get repetitive and so boring the more times you have to put yourself through it. I love skipping the pre show after i have seen it once.
Great tips for our future plans to come to Disney Paris. This was really helpful especially comparing what is different compared to other Disney international parks.
This is such a great guide Sam!! I’m hoping to return next year and it’s been a few years since I’ve been home but there’s so many changes!!! This has helped me ALOT especially the virtual queue for Marvel characters!! That’s going to be a priority for our trip 😊
Have I just got back from 3 days in Disney? Yes. Have I been plenty of times before. Yes. Did I just watch this whole video? Also yes... Wonderful video! 🤍🪄✨
Great princess pavilion tip. If there are more than one of you, one of you join the queue the other stay by the exit and ask the next people who come out (if you’re feeling brave enough) what princess they just met. I’ve done this a few times and saved us queuing up as been someone we’ve already met x
I've been to Disneyland Paris a few times and watched your videos. This was a brilliant summary of all the specific aspects of this park. Definitely send this to first timers. Excellent Sam!
I have been there at least a dozen times over the years, including in 92 when it opened, but in 20 days I will be taking my children (6m and 3f years old) there for the first time and can't wait. I consider myself super prepared but still found your video (and others you made) very helpful, thank you very much!!!
Crushes coaster is also epic but the queues reflect it! Thunder mountain TOTALLY the best one out of other thunders! Got on hyperspace in less than 5 mins going single rider so saved my premier ultimate pass till later!
Hi Sam, i love your videos. 🥰 So great, all your videos about DLP. Thank you for all the tips you share with us. We are just back from our last trip, last week. And we are already excited for our trip in november, first time for christmas❤.
Thank you for listening and making this vlog!! as a WDW vet having more comparison detail and less generic Disney park information is perfect. I asked and you responded with both awesome DLP vids - just in time for our trip next week to Paris-DLP-Paris-London! 😊 love it, thanks so much!
Brilliant video you have mentioned items I would never of thought of but will do now. Thank you so much. Keep the videos going they are amazingly helpful ❤
We had an amazing amazing time - one day it rained alot but there were 5 or 6 really good indoor shows in Walt Disney Studio Park - I would definitely recommend the Disneyland electric sky parade at around 21.40 French time. Breathtaking
Actually about the restaurant reservation, I tried to book chez rémy 6 months before our trip over the app and it was booked solid. I even tried out different group sizes, to see how many people could still get a reservation and I think the only availability they had was for 1-2 people at 11am. I kept checking the app, as you mentioned that in other videos, and then suddenly 3 months later it had availability again and I was able to book a table for 7 people for dinner. I don't know if some travel agencies reserve tables in advance and suddenly gave them free again or what happened... Anyways, we're going to chez rémy 😍
This is so nice, I actually found your channel through your previous tips video when I was preparing for my first ever Disneyland trip. Happy to see you make an even more comprehensive video that could help future DLP guests. (Sidenote, I actually did visit the French parks on my birthday and neither of them had badges available in the morning lol so they're definitely rare)
I thought it was funny when i was there 17th to 20th June 2024. The amount of people that paid for premier access as all the rides i went on were 15min or under wait times. Although Peter pan's flight was 45 mins plus, which for me was great as I didn't have to go on that one. I did get first person on Hyper space Mountain and big Thunder mountain. If you haven't done big thunder ride it, then ride it again at the back but don't face forward, turn to face the back. Turns the ride into a completely different experience. Well recommend doing that.
something i found out last summer: you can show up at the table service restaurants and ask if they have reservations for later! they usually have a few that aren't made available through the app/website. we were able to get a table for 4 at pym kitchen at lunch time that way even though we couldn't book anything through the app (the trip was organized fairly last minute so we had no choice lol), just by showing up in person the day before
Sam I'm no way a first timer myself and my daughter go every year excited to take my twin granddaughters to do the Christmas season next year doing our Halloween 🎃 trip this year again keep the videos coming sam just love watching anything disneyland paris you show ❤
I think it would be better if Disney did full versions of the shows in English and full versions in French so people could watch one or the other. Having half and half shows didn't make sense to me. As one character says something in English and the other character replies in French how is anyone suppose to keep up with what is going on. Unless you speak both languages. As mostly in the shows you can't see the actor face as they have a giant head over their head. So the show could be dubbed if the actor cant speak one of the languages.
Yay love this video ❤🎉 can’t wait to go in November, we have done half board with our Disney hotel reservation. Have you ever done that at all? And if so would you say it’s worth paying the extra? Maybe video idea 🤔. Hope you had a lovely time 😊 xx
@Sam4G0d please do 🙏. I think there is more options in terms of restaurants you ate now able to go to, but I could be wrong it would be nice just to make sure it's worth the value:) x
Lovely video! Just so you know, the single use plastics are not allowed anymore in the EU. This is a newer rule.. and yes some of the options are not the best! But like you said, its a good thing as well.
The city hall doesn't give out badges anymore, since October 2023, I was told by a cast member standing in front of it in April. Only the hotels have them, now.
I was just (June 2024) in DLP with a firsttimer and they told me they stopped doing the badges, unfortunately. I asked at the hotel, they sent me to City Hall. The cast members at both City Hall and Studio Services said they no longer have them, but sometimes the hotels have some leftover stock that they hand out.
Yes, it's allowed (in moderation - don't bring your picnic basket ;-)) and yes, it's more budget friendly. And you don't really find fresh fruit or vegetables to snack on in the parcs. It felt like it was fat, sugar and carbs galore...
Hi Sam, Great tips. thank you. We're going in July and I have to eat gluten free. do you have any videos with tips on where is best to eat gluten free in dlp? Thanks.
Sadly, with gluten-free or other allergies, you have to ask for the allergy menu at every restaurant and cast members are happy to help 😃 otherwise, I’d suggest looking for a gluten free at Disneyland Paris group on Facebook where people have shared their experiences x
Hi sam, are you going to DLP in july this year. We booked from the 24th july till 27th july, not realising that the summer Olympics also start that weekend. Will you be avoiding that weekends or going to see how it affects the crowds?? 😊😊
I’m going to be there early July, as transportation to Paris during the Olympics has become expensive! I don’t think the Olympics will affect the parks too much, though - hope you have an amazing time 😁
I have a trip booked for December, Newport Bay, club level. I've booked lunches but didn't see dinner reservations available. Does that mean they're fully booked, or will dinner open up closer to the travel dates?
Hi , can you go in and out as much as you want between 2 parks ? Can you buy your souvenir and pick up in front of the park when u ready to get out from the park like in the USA ?
Yes, it's called Baby Switch in Disneyland Paris, and all the big rides (roller coasters, Tower of Terror etc) have it :) You just need to speak to a cast member.
We were there this just gone I have to say the cast members are great but the tourists apart from the British are very rude and have no manners no one says thank you or holds a door for you or asks nicely if they can stand next to you to watch parades or the fireworks unless they have manners like the British, so many who don't speak a word of English just walk right through you and barge in to you to see fireworks we sat for three hours holding a place for the fireworks and people were barging to get in to our place
I was at DLP just a few days ago, i like to pop between the parks but as a hotel guest i would expect a way to do that without having to queue with non hotel guests. I wanted to go back into the park around 11:40ish where now they have turned all the hotel early entrances into exits. However a family went down they changed 1 of them back to let that family in but would not let me in that way. Not very INCLUSIVE is Disney now. I don't know if the family was a hotel guest as i was, but they went to all that trouble to make the exit into a entrance for 3 people and turned me away even though i was there before the family and they did it right in front of me. I think Disney has to do some thinking of how it treats people at its parks, depending on whether they are hotel guests or not as all hotel guests should get the same treatment. I think the families seem to think they have more entitlement to be there and think rules do not apply to them. For example i was standing waiting for security to open, a family goes straight past me before having to be stopped by security, then they have the nerve to stand in front of me. Normally people would see someone and queue behind them, not these families. I do wonder if there is anything going on in these parents heads, and what precedence they set for their children. The children won't have any manners either. Only one guy apologised after realising they had pushed in front of me. In the countless times families have decided not to look and determine what is going on. Just I must push forward, then you remind them that they still have to wait 30 mins for the park to open. So they won't get in any earlier than anyone else. I saw loads of families trying it on to get ahead. Open the park early for me only to be told no. One guy at Disney did impress me as he told these people that wanted to get on a ride as they had split up for some reason and only half the family had got on the ride. So they had to wait cos he said no when they asked to be bumped forward in the queue. He gets a round of from me.
I think Disney should do adult weeks during the year no kids, anyone who books with kids and not school holidays, Disney should report them to the school. Disney could put the money the families pay towards free food and drink to all the adults during adult week. I should be head of Disney park ideas and a Disney themed prison for the families to stay in watching all of us having fun around the parks. I don't hate kids btw, but i do hate families that seem to think just cos they have kids they have more right to be there than you. Gets you to thinking of they are like this the kids will grow up to be worse, the arrogance of some of these families is a sight i don't think we should see at any public place or private business that is serving the public.
I'm going to Disney Paris in September for 5 days and I'm so excited! Im 30 and have never been to Disney before! Would just like to say I have loved watching your vids since I found your channel over the last few months and thank you for all the tips 😊
Thanks for the tips. Will be going at the end of september for a couple of days. Last time I was there was 15-20 years ago. Really looking forward to it. Love your video's and have watched a few of them.
I started watching when you went to the Efteling (because Im dutch). And now thanks to your video's I got the courage to go to Disneyland Paris by my self. I booked my first stay at a Disneyland hotel. So this video is verry helpfull.
Aw I’m so glad to read that! 🥹 And the Disneyland Hotel, wow! Hope you have a magical time 😁🎉 and I can’t wait to get back to Efteling later this year!
I booked a trip for march next year (during my birthday) and it will be my 1st trip and your video is now on my Disney-Playlist for 1st timers ♥ Thanks for this video ♥
This is my first watching of your videos. Looking forward to our first trip to Disneyland Paris next month for my 50th! (Disneyland / Anaheim was the 1st time for my 40th) In my research I've seen a number of other DLP videos. Yours has honestly helped the most. Thanks for sharing!!!
Waiting in the cues are part of the fun haha... Premier is a rip off and don't bother waiting for crushers coaster, the wait is not worth it... Imo, pixar is more enjoyable and terror tower is a must!!!! As is flight force!!! RC racer should be longer but it is so worth it
I‘ve been watching your videos for so long that I pretty much knew everything you said and still loved watching this! The PERFECT overview of how to do DLP the right way!

The city hall doesn't give out badges anymore, since October 2023, I was told by a cast member standing in front of it in April. Only the hotels have them, now.
Thanks for the info, hotels have always been the best bet 😁

I will go on my birthday at the end of November. Do you know if the park will also be so busy?
Hi, just wanted to ask. Is the fireworks and parade is everyday?
My dream was to meet the Mandalorian and Grogu, but they seem to have disappeared from the parc... :-'(
Sam which hotel will.you recommend us near disneyland paris
Im going disny paris in august can you please let me know what time start fireworks show ?
Big thunder mounting height is quite low, ok for a 7 year old?
Depends on your child - I first went on it when I was 6 and found it quite scary, but also loved it at the same time haha!
What time should I queue to enter the park at open if I’m not eligible for magic time?
Do you think it's a better idea to get food from outside? Is that allowed? Liked prepared sandwiches, salads, etc?

Is it doable to visit 2 parks in one day?
Going in end July, do you recommend going for 2 days or 1 day?
How reliable is the wifi in both parks? I find that their app crashes often even from home.
Can be hit or miss, especially on busier days.

Great detailed video. We are hoping to visit from Australia next year for my girls 10th birthday.
Hope you have an amazing time :)

10 days until I take the family to DLP for the first time, so perfect time to find the video!
Have an amazing time!
Waiting in the cues are part of the fun haha... Premier is a rip off and don't bother waiting for crushers coaster, the wait is not worth it... Imo, pixar is more enjoyable and terror tower is a must!!!! As is flight force!!! RC racer should be longer but it is so worth it
