Punch Front tut: • How To Do A Front Flip...
    WEBSTER FRONT FLIP TIPS:
0: Understand that you should not flip unless you are properly prepared and have proper supervision.
1: Bend the knees and push off using the ball of your foot.
2: As one leg starts to push up drive you other foots heel behind you with a lot of energy in an attempt to kick over the back of your head
3:At this point you should already have your chest down and your back flate (parallel to the ground)
4: Push your hips up and spot a point on the ground infront of you. (This wil keep you from tucking to soon) Remember you still need to be able to get as much hight as possible (make sure push your hips up before trying to go over)
5: Now tuck your head in and allow your rotation to come from using the wind mill movement with you arms
6: Spot the ground and be aware of your location in time and space =)
7: Land on the balls of your feet with bent knees and lightly absorb the impact..
    8: Celebrate
    9:Practice, Practice, Practice
Please post any video responses or questions you may have on doing a Webster. Remember it is very important that you prepare for this trick and only attempt it when you are ready to fully commit to the move.

Hey Jesse, so I'm in a strings orchestra for my school, and we're playing mission impossible for one of our songs. My teacher wants me to turn into Tom Cruise and free run around the stage ;) but she wants me to do this move... This is gonna be the first flip i'm doing... ever aaaand a lot of people are gonna watch. so just wish me luck please, and know that you're my greatest inspiration because i'm 14 and I still have lots to learn about parkour so thanks!

one thing that helped me to learn this trick (which was just two days ago) was making sure that I really pushed as hard as i kicked. Also it helps to jam your elbows or to throw your arms back/upward as hard has possible and to also tuck my chin into my chest.

The purpose of the back leg is to not only rotate you but the force from the swing is what drives you up for height. I've landed this a couple times. Still learning.

God I can't wait for spring/summer when it's warmer. I had to of course try Parkour a month ago when the ground started freezing. But even from what I've practiced so far, I love it. But for this flip...yea I'm going to wait for the ground to thaw before I try this one :P

Another way to progress into doing websters off objects or on flat ground is a "Step-up webster". What you need to do is run towards the object your flipping off (make sure its no more than knee hight) then place your strongest foot on the object. Bend both knees slightly, duck your body down towards your hips then spring up off your leg and throw your arms as shown in the video. This works great to progress or to webster long distances. My longest is 8ft! Please like this so others may see!

  • @MCLovingHippiesUK
    @MCLovingHippiesUK 11 років тому

Also, what you can try is a webster side. There are two ways I know how to do these, first is to rotate your body, then kick your weakest leg like a cartwheel, then spring off, or my favorite technique which is to throw your strongest arm from above your head, place your foot on the object, turn your body, then spring and wrap your arm round your body. Once again, like so all may learn from this little trick i learnt... I may only be 13, but this trick will work for anyone!

practice on a trampoline to get used to the rotation or practice dive rolls on the grass or a mat. then if u have access to a gym (gymnsatics or freerunning) gymnastics palces usually have an open class where u can go in and practice. then just try a front flip onto a nice cushiony mat

Use what feels more comfortable to you. Dominant hands/legs dont indicate which to use. I know left handed people who webster off their right leg, and I know leftys who webster off their left. My dominant foot is my left, it's the one i leap off, its what I use in websters and wall flips. But for wall runs (verticle) I use my right foot. I'm right handed, but any one handed cartwheel variations (touchdown raiz) I use my left hand. Everyone is different. Do what feels most comfortable for you.

Vincent Diiorio I learned back flips first sure it sounds worse but front flips fear blocks are a bit more stronger I suggest you test on a trampoline.
