Punch Front tut: • How To Do A Front Flip...
WEBSTER FRONT FLIP TIPS:
0: Understand that you should not flip unless you are properly prepared and have proper supervision.
1: Bend the knees and push off using the ball of your foot.
2: As one leg starts to push up drive you other foots heel behind you with a lot of energy in an attempt to kick over the back of your head
3:At this point you should already have your chest down and your back flate (parallel to the ground)
4: Push your hips up and spot a point on the ground infront of you. (This wil keep you from tucking to soon) Remember you still need to be able to get as much hight as possible (make sure push your hips up before trying to go over)
5: Now tuck your head in and allow your rotation to come from using the wind mill movement with you arms
6: Spot the ground and be aware of your location in time and space =)
7: Land on the balls of your feet with bent knees and lightly absorb the impact..
8: Celebrate
9:Practice, Practice, Practice
Please post any video responses or questions you may have on doing a Webster. Remember it is very important that you prepare for this trick and only attempt it when you are ready to fully commit to the move.

One of the best tutorials on any parkour move I've seen yet. Nice work Jesse
If only all flip tutorials were as detailed and descriptive as yours are. Thank you.
Hey Jesse, so I'm in a strings orchestra for my school, and we're playing mission impossible for one of our songs. My teacher wants me to turn into Tom Cruise and free run around the stage ;) but she wants me to do this move... This is gonna be the first flip i'm doing... ever aaaand a lot of people are gonna watch. so just wish me luck please, and know that you're my greatest inspiration because i'm 14 and I still have lots to learn about parkour so thanks!
did you land it?
Could you do a review of the tempest shoe??
Yeess plzz
one thing that helped me to learn this trick (which was just two days ago) was making sure that I really pushed as hard as i kicked. Also it helps to jam your elbows or to throw your arms back/upward as hard has possible and to also tuck my chin into my chest.
I like how you go into detail! It helps a ton.
Hey man, great tutorial!. I just went out and tried it off something around my height a few times today, along with some front and back flips, and I landed perfectly. You're great!
I think I explain that toward the end of my wall climb tut
Hey Jesse! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial/tutorials on some more advanced vaults.
Love your work, i have been doing parkour for over a year now and it's all thanks to you :)
OH MA GAWDD!!
LOL THANK YOU!!
Ive been trying to get this for a year, and though its getting better. you're tutorial still seems to be a ton of help! Seriously thanks a lot :) youre tutorials are awesome!!
Jessie you make it sound and look so easy!
Jesse, you should do aerial movements for beginners like side flips and stuff really want to learn all this, also thanks man i learned all moves except the dash vault and front flip.
The purpose of the back leg is to not only rotate you but the force from the swing is what drives you up for height. I've landed this a couple times. Still learning.
Hey Jesse, awesome tutorial. Can you do a front flip 360 tutorial next? That would be absolutely awesom!!!
I would love to see a double kong tutorial, i'm having trouble with it and you always give good tips
Thanks bud!
and thank you for all the tutorials i can really understand each step
My favourite flip. Its beautiful
i have 30 years old and i learning parkour. you are my new master
try to focus on pushing straight up with all the force you can off of your launch leg, that's what helped me
Jesse you legend your videos inspire me!Please make a wallspin tutorial
God I can't wait for spring/summer when it's warmer. I had to of course try Parkour a month ago when the ground started freezing. But even from what I've practiced so far, I love it. But for this flip...yea I'm going to wait for the ground to thaw before I try this one :P
Your tutorial is so awsome I almost did it the first time
So, I know that you went for the Northeast qualifying round on ANW and made it, congrats! I have a friend who made it on there, Jesse Villarreal! Me and him are in SFR together, anyway, I was wondering if you could do a sideflip tutorial. Thanks so much! Keep teaching, it's improved my game :D
I think you should start doing a little more advanced tutorials such as: the cast awat, dash bombs, devil drop and stuff like that. i am working on the cast away and could really use a tutorial on it! thanks!
jesses first run @Red Bull Art of Motion - Santorini 2013 is beastly
Hey Jesse thanks for the tutorial, loved it, and what about a tutorial on the best way to add a twist to flips?
Ok, congrats, you've made a great tutorial, which explains the most important steps, but what i hate in 90% of tutorials , that no one explained how to UNTUCK which is MOST important thing for GOOD landings, but anyways one of the best tutorials... :)
You're really good at explaning! If I would try that... I'd fail epicly
Jesse if you could do a horizontal wall run tutorial, that would be awesome! And as always good video.
Another way to progress into doing websters off objects or on flat ground is a "Step-up webster". What you need to do is run towards the object your flipping off (make sure its no more than knee hight) then place your strongest foot on the object. Bend both knees slightly, duck your body down towards your hips then spring up off your leg and throw your arms as shown in the video. This works great to progress or to webster long distances. My longest is 8ft! Please like this so others may see!
Im gonna start parkour, and this move really helpes, thanks ;)
Mr. La Flair : could you do a tutorial on a wall spin/ corner spin some time in the future? Thanks! keep up the awesome videos!
I have learned a front flip (thanks to you jessie) buy sometimes when i land, i slip back. I did it yesterday and landed on my coxsis bone. It is now swollen but before that, i actually managed to flront flip of off things. So thxs jessie, your techniques have helped alot. :D.
P.S. Not being sarcastic lmfao
This is the only flip I've been able to do without watching a tutorial!
A back handspring tutorial one day please would be so cool omg :)
Nice video, totally have to try this at gym. Could you please make a frontlip 180 or 360 tutorial, I have problems with high and rotation. Thanks.
I LOVE YOU MAN NOW I AM MOST ATHLETIC IN MY CLASS
just got it yesterday its important to really kick hard as you can
I can do websters but this is a nice reminder . Thx!
Took me some days to figure out the arm motions for my technique... Needless to say, the Webster is stylish and awesome :3
finnally got front flip and side flip workin on webster
Can you do a B-twist tutorial? I can get the butterfly kick but when it comes to the 360 for some reason I can't stay parallel. Thanks! Your tutorials are the best
jesse, i think that it is amazing how u do this and i was wondering if you could teach me some beginner moves because i am a beginner but i have my heart and mind set on learning parkour and freerunning so i am more than willing to listen and learn
Nice job. I think you should do a Moon kick tutorial please Jesse.
Also, what you can try is a webster side. There are two ways I know how to do these, first is to rotate your body, then kick your weakest leg like a cartwheel, then spring off, or my favorite technique which is to throw your strongest arm from above your head, place your foot on the object, turn your body, then spring and wrap your arm round your body. Once again, like so all may learn from this little trick i learnt... I may only be 13, but this trick will work for anyone!
a mattress usually is the right way to go to start of. I´m currently training standing frontflips on a mattress in the backyard - works fine to me :)
cant wait to try!!!
Jessie please make a tutorial on the palm flip for me please. That backflip you do off a wall using your hands. Thank you!
Jesse I am your big fan thanks for these tutorials but can you do a tutorial for side flip?
i did thx jesse your my inspiration
Brilliant tutorial, keep it up!
good runs on ninja warrior, im rooting for you and frosti
Nice video video, i actually believe now that iv watched this video, i am that tiny bit closer of successfully doing a webster, however i still need help with one other thing and that is after you have swang your kicking and spinning leg and your already above the surface, i dont know how to get into the tucking position, if you can leave me a comment with what you think i should do, and thanx for the great vid man keep it!!!
Love how you ...green screen it? Lol but you are my inspiration Jesse! Keep up the tutorial when ya got the chance!
what a nice tutorial
thank you very much man !!!!! It works !
Very awesome hair style !
@hendrixhomie1 hopefully I got your screen name right. My personal recommendation is a standing back tuck. They are the easiest to control and change for going off of stuff once you get used to it. Plus you can see the ground easier when you are rotating
Side flips are where its at, and nice video :D
I just landed it:D Thanks Jesse!
For everyone having problems with their arms. His arm technique is just 1 way to do it.Theres are a few other techniques you can use for a webster
Hi jesse, thank you now I can do a vebster. It's working thank you
Thanks man this vid really helped!
practice on a trampoline to get used to the rotation or practice dive rolls on the grass or a mat. then if u have access to a gym (gymnsatics or freerunning) gymnastics palces usually have an open class where u can go in and practice. then just try a front flip onto a nice cushiony mat
Thank you for the tutorial great stuff as always. Question, is there a reason why you would need a pop top and a webster in your arsenal?
thanks man it really helped
I figured out how to do it but while I was practicing I forgot to safety tuck and banged my face right into my knee and got my lip majorly swollen. Gonna give this one another try with a mouth guard!
So I set with one leg, throw myself forward and jump at the same then swing my leg back, tuck and do the windmill thing with my arms then hope to land it?
It would be usefull if u would male a video about landing, like that roll on the ground when u land from big hights
You look BALLER with the new haircut!
my favourite flip.
Yea, progressions, flip up, then roll flip, then a hand spring and then a webster. see Ryan Doyle's tutorial for more detail :)
When it comes to parkour jesse is my trainer
i love you tutorials... keep them coming.. :)
This was surprisingly easy
Same here, just do what would feel natural, don't push it too hard, be sure to warm up, and practice an hour a day
can you come to blackburn i want you to teach me pro parkour please you are the best
please put up a front and back hand-spring tutorial! :D
i am ur biggest fan jesse, just need to know how to rotate while flipping
yeah i got it almost i forgot to jump with bended knees.thanks
I freakin' love this tutorial!
Use what feels more comfortable to you. Dominant hands/legs dont indicate which to use. I know left handed people who webster off their right leg, and I know leftys who webster off their left. My dominant foot is my left, it's the one i leap off, its what I use in websters and wall flips. But for wall runs (verticle) I use my right foot. I'm right handed, but any one handed cartwheel variations (touchdown raiz) I use my left hand. Everyone is different. Do what feels most comfortable for you.
I can't do it yet but i started learning it on a bunch of pillows and stuff in my room :D
When I started learning this I landed on my butt all the time. It just takes practice. Try it on sand or grass. Or in water if you want. Don't be afraid to land on your butt a few times. As long as you land on someplace soft.
He actually has made a video for that. I don't remember the name but it's on his channel some where.
Can you explain tucking when doing the front flip. For example when do you tuck? or How do you tuck?
Tuck as soon as you start spinning and just bring your legs into your chest.
Check out his Frontflip tutorial if you havent figured it out yet
FINALLY a webster tut! xD
Ill try it not for likes, but for the passion of learning to free run. That's deep bro :p
What is your Dominant hand Jesse???? i have always wondered, and it would be good to know while i try to do the tutorials if i should be using the same hands and legs as you are.
side flips, side flips, side flips.... but great one on the Webster!
Could you do a sideflip tutorial? My sideflips suck and look just like a slightly angled front flip
You have really done a good job, thx! +1sub
Side Flip tutorial next please!!!
Can you do a wall spin tutorial maybe?
Your hair is so much better like that!
In the Advanced Front Flip (Gather Step), your friend is going off of his Right Foot. Here, you're going off of your left foot. Is that Form or does that depend on your Dominate Foot/Hand?
it worked after 49 times i got it to work i hitted ma leg a little but it not too harsh :D thx my class mates ill do big eye cause onr of them is good at that stuff :D
Hey Jesse, I like your tutorials and I'm learning a lot. However, there is one question I still have, what flip should I learn first? What is your opinion?
Vincent Diiorio I learned back flips first sure it sounds worse but front flips fear blocks are a bit more stronger I suggest you test on a trampoline.
