I'm really having fun with my 2 month old Seestar. She is my first. Being able to share images with friends and family has been a plus. You mentioned a possible next generation S50, maybe S100 with more power/features. I would like to see a version that does a much improved planitary capability. Until then, I'll be praying for clear sky's, continue watching and learning from others like you. The word passion comes to mind.
Thanks for watching John! Let's keep it up with our Seestar, it really is fun! 🔭🌟 I expect much improvements from ZWO with this scope. They are already at it, I'm sure more is coming!
we have 18 of them at our star party last saturday. each one has it's own wifi address. if anyone is on your wifi, they should be able to also see it, which is why it showed it to him.
The unknown I find only happens if I don't click on the object and I scan to it, love tracking satellites nice feature, noob here, love to know how you get galaxy mine after 1 hour are dull wisp of red, thanks for your video's
If understanding you correctly on your question @19:22, I was using my iPhone and Mac book at the same time on the same image. I was running through my home WiFi. Don’t know if you can with running through just the scopes WiFi connection. I just received mine a few days ago and I’m VERY new at this. No expert by no means! Love it so far. 👍
With my station mode off, I’ve been able to connect multiple devices. So I’m running it through just the scope’s wifi. You should be able to do it too 😃 Enjoy your Seestar 🎉
Great channel, and you seem to well versed on the Seestar. Can you guide me to a link where I can find more details on the different controls on each of the modes..........for example in Solar mode, is the tracking and or raw feature turned on or off when it is green.............can you still use auto focus if manual focus is enabled, etc. Want to get the most of this scope, but comprehensive information on all of the settings, controls, option, and such for the various modes appears to be sorely lacking. Thanks, and keep the videos coming!
Hi Bill! Thanks for watching! After you press the tracking mode, auto focus, and/or raw mode, they turn green. When it's green it means those features are on. If they are off, they will be white or greyed out. You can still do manual focus after doing auto focus and vice versa.
I tried to image 62P also with poor results also. If the clouds would cooperate I've like to give it a longer exposure (an hour or so) to see what I get.
It's been over a week, mother nature not cooperating so S50 is parked. Recently bought a new tablet(Samsung Android 14) and discovered a new fairly extensive photo editor. It performs many of the functions Siril does. No star extraction though, doesn’t bother me. Easy to use, recommend it, I like it.
That is correct. I've already reached out to Seestar so they can allow vertical homepage app view once you flip your screen device. Hopefully they will update that soon!
your comet issue is because they won't calculate where the comet will be at any given time so they use a galaxy as a reference point. Ok, really they could but it's a cheater method of getting to the comet. the galaxies are known objects for slewing to. It's a programming cheat.
I hope they fix this soon! ZWO has mentioned that they continue to make improvements and enhancements to the Seestar so I think they are working on all of this. We welcome more app updates!
@@TheAstroRoomthe idea is they will because everything they are fixing and adding now goes into everyone that comes after. we are the testers for the first version.
Your SeeStar videos are the best of all!!!! Thank you for doing them.
Wow, thank you!
I love, love, love your videos. I have learnt so much from watching your videos. Please keep going.
Simon ❤️❤️❤️

That is so awesome! And 18 Seestars?! 🌟
How do you go to connect devices to connect with devices

Super, thanks for the quick response.
Yep, I got an Unknown and the corresponding Unknown-sub filles that I downloaded to my computer from Seestar.

I too, have had that issue with the unknown label.
I think ZWO (the maker of the Seestar will fix this soon). Thanks for watching!

This is good to know! Thanks for sharing John! ⭐️
why is it sideways? was that on purpose because of the aspect ratio?
