Too funny. I just got a near 40 year old Vito alto (Yas-23) in excellent condition that I have to do this too. This expert of course, does it all like it is just another day. Excellent and fun video.
I put saran wrap between the bell to keep the lower stack keys from scratching the lacquer when removing and installing, but I'm probably a bit on the clumsy side for those things.
Hi friend! my name is Roberto, I'm from Santos, São Paulo, Brazil . Please what brand of red glue do you use for slippers? How do you buy it or how do you make it? What liquid are you applying with the white tube with the injector nozzle?
How much do you charge for a service like this I’d like to send you my Yamaha yas-23 to get this done to it Don’t know if you do any lacquer removals but that’s also something I want to get done on it
Local shops show a price range of $500 to $650 for a full re-pad which I assume does not include any of the other stuff this shows. Probably around $800 for complete service, pads, and tune/adjust which is why I will research doing it myself.
@@Sstantial That was a disassembly and light cleaning with one very easy pad replacement on a well built Yamaha instrument. What you saw right there was probably a $50 job depending on the shop minimum.
