Does this principal rely more on the rhythm of things? Like say I had a loop playing a randomized pattern of notes that fall on every quarter note, would this be a quarter note length repetition or would the randomized pattern just make it feel like there is no repetition?
Never heard it explained quite this way, but extremely helpful as it gives some parameters and a framework to think about this!
