That first one reminds me of when in 1982 ric flair went down to Puerto Rico to wrestle. He was wrestling Puerto Rico's biggest wrestling star at the time. Roc was supposed to win the match to retain the nwa world title, but during the match ric realised that if he did win he match, he wouldnt be leaving alive. So he changed the plans and dropped the title to the puerto Rican wrestler (sorry I dont know his name) and If I'm remembering correctly the Puerto Rican wrestler forfeited the belt back to ric because the nwa champion had to make appearances all over the world and didn't want to leave his home. Back when wrestling was still good.
Pantangco vs. Rasner was a moment I didn't understand when I saw some "sportsmanship" compilations. Now knowing the full context, massive respect for Pantangco stopping the fight to not hurt a friend/partner any further or preventing his opponent to cause himself further injuries and much respect to Rasner for standing up and enduring as much as he could during that time. Jumping in four hours after knowing you're signed to go into the octogon/ring means no conditioning, no preparation... This is more humble than absolute novices thinking they can take on professional athletes.

Funny story, when I first started training back in 2004, my gym hosted a seminar held by Maurice Smith. He was demonstrating a move and pointed to me as his instructional dummy. He cracked three of my ribs and forced a fart out of me, just with his body weight.

I think it really cool you give credit to the others that helped create this video.
oh jheeze, the music
Horrid.
Ok that Forest Gump "I'm pretty tired" line was just too perfect! 🤣
T
hat one actually got me a tad emotional as I've allowed kids with Mental health problems get Ws over me in my middle school and HS wrestling days its not quite the same as what happened here but it has its similarities
*You forgot about how Conor worked khabib so effortlessly he tapped himself out mercy causing khabib to flee the ring!*
"It's only business" 😂
Awesome channel brother ✊👋👋
“Ohhh he has video game lighting!”
Uh we’re people thinking that? I don’t know what “video game lighting” is
Same. I don’t get it.
Don't worry you're perfectly normal for not knowing what that is.
Also no idea
I guess the lights lol
Lmao I was also wondering...
I mean, I play video games don't get me wrong, but wtf does that have to do with anything or the "lighting"
What do you mean there’s no timeouts? Charlie Z showed us that there are timeouts in fighting.
Take a drink every time the narrator guy says "Quote end quote"...
I've rewatched it 3 times coz I'm alcoholic😔
Love this list. I would have preferred Pantangco’s position to be #1. His decision to quit is the most abrupt and most surprising
The second MVP fights someone that isn’t scared he gets his ass beat
That night when Ivey and Fulton fought was great. It was honorable what Ivey did that night. Both guys are MMA legends and I think Fulton would have done the same if he was in that position. #MuchRespect
Sure throwing around the word legend pretty casually aren’t we ?
@@jacobjones1000 not in this case.
@@patsysadowski1546 who's the legend here the kiddy porn guy or the fat tatted guy? Gimme a break, I knew a few kids who got in tons of fights r they legends also?
This has aged terribly lol
Does this video not sound like it’s being narrated by a young Joe Rogan? ... 😂 Makes the video that much better
4:50 When your fighter tells you he can't go on, your job is not to try and convince him that he can. Your balls shouldn't be bigger than his.
Yes, but you also need to make sure he knows the consequences. A quit is going to be regarded poorly. Losing with heart can help a career. Quitting nope. However, the fighter's health is more important, and the coach shown, his fighter seemed to be just outclassed.
I love that you included Fulton essentially chokeslaming Jeremy Bullock in that little montage 😂
Nice video.
I gotta say this is one of the few commentaries where I actually enjoyed most of the extra info that sucks in most different videos
i had an opponent in a national championship fight (boxing) turn away from me and refuse to keep fighting halfway though the first round. it was wild.
Yeah dude…
Like the new intro Jayson good video brother “as always”
Add nick Diaz to the list lmao
12:59 that was actually pretty good, good job! : )
10:15 holy shit OW, that looked brutal
Its amazing. I just discovered this channel and I didnt know Joe Rogan was narrating it.
Funny story, when I first started training back in 2004, my gym hosted a seminar held by Maurice Smith. He was demonstrating a move and pointed to me as his instructional dummy. It should be noted that at the time, I was about 140 lbs, all skin and bone. He proceeded to demonstrate the mount while hooking his feet under my legs, , putting all his weight onto my torso. He cracked three of my ribs and forced a fart out of me, just with his body weight.
That police officer sneaking a peek gets me every time 😂😂😂 can't say I would do it differently
Fulton and Ivey are such heroes.
The Fulton part aged like milk...
@@RainDelay what happened
@@kingt0295 Fulton committed suicide whist charged for child abuse... also, his MMA record is padded...
@@RainDelay jesus
@@RainDelay i just googled and when you said child abuse I thought you meant like physically beating his own kids not you know
Thanks guys for writing and editing this list. 30 seconds later thanks us for watching his own list...idk
I have a sanctioned bout in september!
Goodluck BROMAN from New Zealand 💪💪👊👊
Fuck yeah, get it my dude
Let’s go dude!
How did you do?
Well done. You do great videos!
The roids caught up with Shamrock that night in Japan.
Lol
nah, he didnt have enough on board. he was using it like we use oxygen.
The days of fighting 3 fights in one night were insane. They were legit warriors. Now Ur lucky if a fighter fights 3 times in one yr.
7:11
Damn that's beautiful.
I just now realized that the profile pic for this channel is a black belt around a gi. For the longest time i thought that it looked like a clone trooper helmet from Star Wars.
I went to high school and wrestled with Max Rohskopf. He was the team captain my junior year. Dude was such a dick. He was always belittling the rest of our teammates. He once chocked out a freshman during practice. This was wrestling practice in high school, there was no choke holds. I hope he has gone through some changes. Btw, you are pronouncing his name wrong
Love the fact that you put the sources in the top left corner
0:49 face cam is irrelevant to your content so.. What??...
He did that because he wants his face recognized. That's the kind of reason why Tommy is better.
Some old school fights there. Big dose of sweet nostalgia.
The Narrator sounds like a Young Joe Rogan .... Anyone else hear it?
I knew it sounded vaguely familiar
How are there over 1k dislikes? I don't get it. This video is really well produced and informational, per usual.
I can't believe he wouldn't capitalize on his last name and make his nickname "Bad Mother" Hubbard.
?
?
@@mpforeverunlimited Old Mother Hubbard? The classic nursery rhyme?
I think what makes Travis fultons record even madder is the fact in his 251 wins he's only won by decision 8 times
He got the memo don’t leave it to the judges lol.
13:01 I'm a native portuguese speaker and I have 0 clue how you pronounce that
loving the comedic use of face cam
6:30 honestly those shorts look pretty stupid when you quit in the middle of a fight lol
Literal Walmart Cerrone.
Hell yea. Well done Mike Pantangco. Hope I spelled that right... but you guys know who I mean either way. What a good dude. That was solid.
Edit: had to get his name spelled correctly...
