I’m not a ‘commenter’ but had to. Best enduro vid I’ve seen. Beautiful. You popped over some big stuff, saw a moose, some ponds...like an enduro fairytale. Loved the road to ride. Killed it man. Thanks for the watch. Subbed.
Dood... I used to ride like this (mostly) on my WR250R. Solo, exploring the backwoods of Washington. Couple of times having to pick that thing up, or lay it down and drag it under a fallen tree was brutal. Just got the call from my dealer, my new 501s is inbound. Mid July delivery. So stoked, and I am seriously looking forward to more power, (a lot) less weight, better suspension, and a hydraulic clutch. Hopefully it's even slightly as reliable. And hopefully I won't have to drag it under any trees, damn thing ain't gonna be cheap. But this video is exactly why I want this bike.
Dude, really a great IRL video my friend. I've watched a lot of vids on the tube about dual sport/adv bike - your ride here was one of the best, thanks for sharing. Cheers
501 is unbelievable your a Legend rider, we are from Australia & only have ( Drop Bears ) I was expecting a big Grizzly coming after you as that’s some great riding. I love in the later videos you have a tower & bigger fuel tanks Awesome videos stay safe Cheers
i got serious arm pump just watching, being from the coastal southern east, we dont hve the rocks to ride like that, i have a '19 501e and its definetly a tractor on single track
@@Ride_TekOdd. Mine would have stalled out. And yes the tire change is a massive improvement. Almost killed myself in sand and dry trails. Should not come w those tkc 80s deadly off road. But you did it.
My 690 broke there. But it's not the actual frame. It's the bolt and the metal parts that break on em. The carbon fiber is strong af. Just got the 501 and I'll never load too much on it. Small bags for tools. Backpack is the way for me now. It's a great bike.
I'm picking a 2023 501 up from my Harley dealer Monday. Someone traded it in with 66 miles on it, still had the paper dealer plate thing that they're doing in California these days. Once again, this was a great video and ride. Super content.
Nice video! Sub'd. Whats the differences between the "S" model and the FE501? I know the guys around here run plates on the non-S models. I've heard rumors regarding engine tune etc.
Thanks! 👍. The only differences that I’ve been told are the blinkers and tires. I believe you can find some info on this over at the Taco moto channel. They recommend getting the exc of fe-s models as it’s the same bike already wired for blinkers and is already street legal. Getting a tune and pipe bring these bikes alive! I leave mine stock because of the kind of stuff I currently use it for. Hope that helps. 👊🏼
@@D73GT all the FE models are detuned and have the same emissions crap and same ecu tuning. I’ve ridden both and they’re identical. Same with the exc and xcf-w models.
@@Ride_Tek a dealer told me the 501s is tuned differently and can't be uncorked like the non streetlegal model. They also have 2 non plated from last year and probably want to move them. Are you happy with yours stock? I might have to visit your shop, I'm close and really enjoy your videos. Thanks!
They are exactly the same, EXCEPT for a couple items. 1) Street legal accessories such as Blinkers, (assuming horn), license plate frame, blinker switches, etc. 2) (This is huge IMHO) MAP Selector Switch. The FE501 has a selectable Factory MAP Switch that gives you a different tune that’s called Power and Traction Control (it takes some power out). The S model DOES NOT have this. To make that switch possible, the FE501 and the FE501S have different front wiring harnesses. The S does not have a port to plug the switch connector into. I know this because as I type, sitting in my garage is my FE501S with the factory MAP switch attached to the handlebars and nothing for it to plug into. I have a Vortex ECU and they sell their own MAP switch, and I don’t like the looks of it. The factory MAP switch is way nicer. However, after I bought it and installed it, and pulled off the headlight to access the wiring harness connector, I discovered there isn’t one. Most dealers DO NOT know this. I’m going to humble myself and remove the factory switch and install the yellow Vortex switch.
I got the Best Dualsport Bikes power package which includes tuned stock ecu...and I added the factory map switch with traction (unlocked in tune) Super happy with it!
ride that bridge next time :D . How is the bike on the highway? is it possible to do longer trips on this bike? I have a ktm 790adv s atm , and its great on the highway but not for stuff like you just did..

how do you feel now after some time on the 501? I currently ride a WR250R and am eyeballing this bike! Worth it? Regrets?

Cool video! I joined your community because I want to see more and support all fellow 2 wheeled creators. Looking forward to your future adventures.
Thanks man! 😁👍

Cool video! The 501 seems like it does well on the single track.
What a spectacular train, super vidéo love the 501
👍
Sir did you install a tuner on this bike or other accessories?😊
All stock. Fun bike! 👍
Lovely spot & Good enduro riding man 👍
Is this the Dillon area? Wow...again I'm impressed with how well the 501 does on slow single track!
You have e the rekluse? I don't hear any clutch feathering. Great ride. Love mine. May switch the rear sprocket
No Rekluse. The bike is totally stock. Thanks! Still running the stock tires in this video. Love ours as well! Great bikes! 👍

I think the only downside to the Husky is that Carbon subframe. Easy to break and tough to put bags on it for fear or breaking.
Yeah, the carbon subframe isn’t my first choice. I’m hoping they change that in 2023.

Awesome vid! What year is the bike?

Smells like Colorado. LOL Good stuff.
Great video! Where were you riding? 👍🏻🍻🇺🇸
Do you still have your 501?
What is the location? Great lines!
Colorado. Thanks! 👍
Awesome video!
Thank you! 👍
Is this on a stock 501 or have you put some upgrades and mods into it?
It’s all stock.

Not great, but I minimize the amount of pavement since it's not my thing.
Hey must be a pro to do that with that bike
yes it is. ok bye!
