I think i would definitely have a work table of steel at waste hieght to throw the brick and as they dried remove them to pallets on a air powered platform like is used for working o commercial lawn mowers ...this keeps back straight and allows for hanging buckets at work station for waters and sponges and sand....

I'll bet the traditional way to do this is using the feet as much as possible. It probably feels good too. Feet are bigger, so more surface to work with. Also for forming the bricks, one might as well be sitting down.

So if theres too much clay in the dirt or too little clay, what are you meant to do to make it work better?...do you add more dirt or something?

I want to do this, but I'll do 3 wide, lengthwise (instead of side by side), w/ handles on sides of the middle brick so easier to pull off

I'd like to see one person doing the whole process from start to finish. Meaning, a finished adobe home. I'm not saying it can't be done or hasn't been done solo.....it is rare. Thus, you either have to hire labor or have enough friends around that like to play in the mud. Good luck.

What screen are you using to screen the soil?

I see this is a rather older posting, hope I can get a reply. I am very curious how long the adobe bricks had to set before curing enough to be used??? I have a few other ?s but will wait to see if I get a reply.

without bad weather the bricks will need a full week to cure.

4"x10"x14", but he's using 2x4's. Contrary to what the name says, it's actually 1/2" shorter. So his bricks are really 3 1/2" thick, not 4". Does that matter?

It means that you have to verify size before starting a project. Quality control is very important. 1/2 inch is a big deal when laying multiple courses.
