With fabric handmade plush it’s hard to do cutesy displays with products so big, but I make do with what I got. Tablecloth and banner combo comes in clutch and The products speak for themselves! I totally do not stand up behind my display unless there’s a crowd and/or it’s busy! I’m sewing a lot at the booth to make more product, to give my hands something to do, and show that yes, they are handmade. Seeing me make things helps people connect that. Absolutely always find something you could improve. If you do poorly because a pole is there, sure that’s to blame, but it’s not super helpful to just blame that. So what could have been done better! What should I have made instead. Never stop growing!
Thiiissss! I should have specified that I absolutely sit if there’s not much going on 😂 but I feel like in your case the working behind the booth makes sense, and may even help with interest in passerby’s! I also think having a basic display full of cute handmade plushes works just as effectively, because they will speak loud and clear 😂
This is exactly the inspiration I need as I plan for my own booth some day! Staying within your financial means is advice i definitely needed to hear! Thank you!
the knowledge that i should be standing and looking engaged behind my booth vs. being sleepy 😭 someday i'll have the resilience to maintain customer service mode for several hours
Hello, I'm Stephanie with Howling Grimm Designs and I met you at Sac Anime! First off, you're so sweet and adorable! It was so amazing to get to meet you! Sorry if I was awkward, cause I definitely felt it 😅 But I wanted to say that after watching previous videos of yours I did the standing portion during the event and it DEFINITELY works! It was great interacting with so many amazing people too! Thank you so much for all of your helpful tips and advice!! They are hands down the best and makes things SO easy!! Thank you thank you thank you!! ❤
Hiii! I’m glad we got to meet! And no worries, I’m usually also awkward in those situations 😂 I’m glad to hear that the standing trick is tried and true!!

It’s hard!! I can’t always do it, but I’m grateful to have a partner who can step in when I need to zone out for a while (or chug some coffee).
This was great advice, thank you!! Still in the planning phase, so knowing these tips ahead of time is super helpful!
I hope you’re able to grow from these tips!
