Imagine if China's technological advancements in building, construction and infrastructure were offered AND used in the US, Haiti, Dominican Republic and other lesser developed Caribbean and Central American countries!!! People forget that China's civilization is thousands of years old and invented most of the things we use today before western powers were even in existence. I'm from the US, which has a hate boner for China, and in a lot of ways (especially as far as civil rights go), that hate is justified. But China also has technological innovations that I couldn't imagine ever seeing in the US, at least not for another couple of decades. Chinese people are used to seeing robotic traffic cones while it's something that blows my mind.

To the reasons of housing crisis mentioned, I would add another one. Often those who decide have no practical idea of those who are in need of housing. These projects aren’t free. At least African wealth isn’t looted to enrich the white people’s countries, but is used to pay for these constructions that will benefit the Africans. Compare what the white people have been doing to Africa and now what China is doing. Chinese don’t build them for free, but at least African resources can be exchanged for these buildings instead of being plainly looted and robbed.

People forget that China's civilization is thousands of years old and invented most of the things we use today before western powers were even in existence. I'm from the US, which has a hate boner for China, and in a lot of ways (especially as far as civil rights go), that hate is justified. But China also has technological innovations that I couldn't imagine ever seeing in the US, at least not for another couple of decades. Importing raw materials is unnecessary. This won't be allowed in Nigeria since we have a lot of the biggest cement industries in Africa.
They don’t import raw materials, that is a waste of money. Even here in NZ and Australia, if we can’t get the products made in time/standard we outsource them to other countries including China. A lot of our construction projects here use local cement and local aggregates because they are cheaper than imports. However, even though we have relatively large industries in the production of tiles, pipes/wiring, interior fitting materials, paint etc, they are still predominantly imported due to foreign products be at a higher quality for the same price.

nobody said it's fee,many of them are part of aid and forgiven loans ,but china also provides a deal in many case without concern for profit,so it's not like others can provide the same

No one said that's it's free, the thing is the projects are on your land and you are the ones using them not the Chinese. These projects are not happening in China. And at least something physical is better than a Bank account in Switzerland.

In fact, they just forgave forgive 23 interest-free loans to 17 African countries. What does this mean? It means China loaned 23 INTEREST-FREE to 17 african nations and still these nations weren't able to pay China, so China just forgave them.
