I connected a flash drive to my Sony Android TV. My problem is I use a streaming app called Tivimate. When I open the app and go into recordings, I see the flash drive. I keep getting this error( Fail to change recording folder) when I try to select a folder to save my recordings. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. #AndroidTV #Tivimate #Streaming #Help

thanks, but i tried all that and still the drive won't show up. i tried with several different USB drives, all formatted with FAT32 and the movies are MPG4. i could see the drive and the movie files using the router with USB connection but if i connect the drive directly to the Sonny TV via USB (all 3 ports that came on the TV) the drive won't even show up in Media Player list.

never again anything from this brand. the worst brand for tv or bd player. never working, always problems and headaches with it. if i can return my sony tv, I will buy LG as my last one, never had problems playing any usb movie. never again!
I have had the same problems with Sony Bravía tv's, many cannot read videos from Sandisk SSD's and these same devices play perfectly well on Samsung or LG smart Tv's. Sony may have the best quality picture but these problems with USB's are a big let-down for the brand.

@@PENDEJO-POMPOTAS I somehow solved the issue, installing vlc player on my tv. I tun the movies from there. If your tv is android, install vlc.
