I needed this tutorial to replace the keyboard of my g3 3579. The only difference I can notice is the location of the ribbon cables. Thank you very much!

Hello. I own the Dell G3 15 laptop and my unfortunately due to an accident a part of the palmrest (the bottom right side) broke off and also a key came off, along with some other damages on the backpanels. I ordered spare parts from China and they have arrived. The spare keyboard is exactly the one you have used. I wanted to ask a question that will the keyboard light still be functionable, after I have replaced the keyboard, or will I have to bid goodbye to it? I am sending it to a repairshop tomorrow and I just wanted to confirm with you!
thanks for the video it helped me a lot

Regarding your question, if you ordered a keyboard without back light then ask the repair shop to salvage the old backlight its very easy to separate and reuse it, it never goes bad.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Regarding your question, yes you can if the motherboard has the connector for the backlit beside the keyboard connector, if not then you can't.
look for that jack beside the keyboard connector and it should be labeled as "BL" or KBL.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Regarding your question, no my friend if you have an issue with the keyboard not responding the n you will need to replace it, BUT if you have a key cap broken then you need to get on aliexpress and search for the correct key caps

Gee... I wish you had mentioned the soldering iron when listing the tools used in the beginning... you know, not when I am elbows deep into the project, and realize I cant finish it.
