It's just piano hinge from my local hardware store. Cut to length using a dremel and left the pin longer to allow for a bent hook to use as a handle. I also sand the pin every now and then as it gets surface rust. It allows to slide it in and out easier.
did the magnets workout? the lateral force especially on the right might be a battle between the hoses and the magnets.... I used magnets but just could never put my full faith in them... TDH member Silverstalker
To be honest I never changed them over to magnets. I have complete confidence in the pin locking system. I didn't want to risk damaging them in the removal process so i just left them as is. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
Nice video. I am right now in the making of my own gauntlets. This helps! Thank you 🙏🏻
I'm glad you found it informative.
I actually did put magnets on them replacing the pin system but it wasn't as secure. So I went back to the pins.
dude this is sick I liked and subbed I'm making the jet pack now
Awesome man!
I'm making another kit but in Holiday Special colours
Where did you find the piano hinge and that pin. I am making my boba fett cosplay and trying to figure out ways to get the gauntlets to stay together.
