Holy Smokes 448 ½-inch circles in a 31-inch by 31-inch square - Yikes. Sewing each individual circle will take some time. I will show you how I got around hand sewing each individual circle. The circles were cut out using the Accuquilt Go Big and turned using the Apliquick method.

Hi. Just starting off quilting. What do you mean by turning the circles?

Applique pieces have 2 types of edges. One (1) is called a 'raw' edge where the edge of your applique piece is just the ‘raw’ edge of the fabric after you cut the piece out. The second type of edge an applique piece can have is called a finished edge. The ‘finished’ edge is where you turn 1/8” to 1/4” of the fabric under so that you have a 'finished' edge to your applique piece. Here is a video where I’m turning an applique piece using the Apliquick method. ua-cam.com/video/78gytVXY3Kw/v-deo.html Sorry in advance for the music in the video it’s distracting…. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!
