I find the idea that Drizzt is overpowered silly, many of his fights he barely makes it out and is gravely wounded, and a few times he was literally dying and had to be saved. He is not overpowered. Drizzt is a badass, but a more realistic one.
R A Salvatore got me into reading I was pretty bad dyslexic 30 years ago. And I have never stoped reading his books and much more. I'm looking forward to the next book

And then by chance, in 6th grade, I accidentally found The Crystal Shard in my teacher’s room book shelf. I was hooked after chapter 1. If it was not for Bob Salvatore and his amazing works, I would never have been a reader. A real hero for me, and a literary wizard. Thank you Bob.
This was amazing. As a Bostonian and huge D&D and Drizzt fan, I was to tears at a few points in this interview. D&D changed my life. Some of my best friends in the world, I met playing the game. Bob’s writing was completely engaging, exciting and wonderful. So great to hear about his process and the road to now.

Sir Salvatore your books spoke too me on a personal level I started reading your books when I was 14 3 years after I was 1st introduced to AD&D 2ND Edition and it was YOUR Novels that got me into reading I literally read 44 of your books from 8th grade till 12th grade which raised my English scores from being 2 years behind in 8th grade to college level by beginning of Junior year of HS you're my Hero

GREAT interview. Read all his novels, favorite was Road of the Patriarch from the Sellswords trilogy. It was set in Damara and details adventures of Artemis teamed up with Jarlaxle. Love this whole series, but this book stole the show for me.

You guys never read "The Companions"? Bob talking about it bringing back my memories of reading it choked me up something shocking. Can't believe anyone here would not have read that, it is my favorite Drizzt book and his writing went next level there. Maybe my Favorite book ever.

As an accountant, I can’t imagine doing anything other than month-end activities during closing. Very impressive for Salvatore.

The new book relentless is really good. The ending is the best so far in my opinion. No spoilers but you'll learn a lot more about the Drow
