Just wondering, why is the leaf bladed sword better than the dragon sword when it comes to stab? The leaf sworded only has a small stab advantage while the dragon sword has a +13 melee strength over the leaf sword. I'm asking cause I'm on a budget and can't afford anything above the bladed sword lol. But thanks again for the guides as always!

Why you suggest to choose firecape over ardy cloak by far? Ardy cloak gives huge amount of Stab bonus.. how higher the ardy cape how bigger the stab bonus is. You pick stab weapons cause its the metal dragon there weakness. The Stab Bonus of the Cloak ables the boost the accuracy and is also boost your prayer. As a mage is suggest to use a Smoke Staff cause of the passive. While using the Smoke Staff you dont need any fire and air runes + its passive gives +10% accuracy and damage bonus while using standard spells.

No, certain elements are not stronger against certain enemies. Every spell have a base damage amount. Wind strike = 2, Water strike = 4, Earth strike = 6... and so on, and there are also armour pieces that can increase your damage by a percentage (e.g. Occult necklace/tormented bracelet). The OSRS wiki page on "Magic" has a great section which shows all of the base damages for every spell.
Where's the link to the book guide though... It seems way better to just do Client of Kourend and talk to Theo after using your house teleport to Draynor... CKR seems much better.

Hatsiekidee No that’s a myth. Protect from mage does absolutely nothing. I use melee with prayer gear and just protect from melee and use the anti dragon shield. They only hit a max of around 7 with the dragon fire and barely use it when in melee range

In your scenario, i'd recommend using prayer gear along with EXTENDED SUPER ANTIFIRE POTIONS for the best DPS output. 1. Slayer helmet/black mask 2. Amulet of fury/glory 3. Fighter torso 4. Proselyte cuisse/Monk robe's 5. Dragon boots 6. Barrows gloves/combat bracelet 7. Zamorkian hasta (lunge) > Abyssal dagger p++(Lunge) > Abyssal whip (Lash) 8. Dragon defender (make sure to drink extended SUPER antifire for dragonfire protection) 9. Berserker ring > brimstone ring > treasonous ring 10. Fire cape > Any ardougne cloak Using this setup, drink extended SUPER antifire, protect from melee on, piety/att/str prayers, and you'll maximize the dps you can get with a lower budget gear setup.
A common way that ironman kill iron or steel dragons without an antifire but with an anti-dragon shield is by standing in melee distance of the dragon while also using the protect from melee prayer. Instead of standing far away from the dragon and far casting. the protect from melee prayer will completely negate all of the melee attacks of the dragons, and you essentially reduce the amount of dragon breath attacks by half... more or less. Still want to bring some food + anti dragonfire shield with you because the dragon breath will hit up to 5's from time to time.
Honestly don't know why steel dragons get a bad rap, Its pretty afk as far as slayer goes if doing mage setup. Sure might not be allot of money, but I can watch videos and stuff while I do the task
If accuracy/DPS is an issue, consider using a higher stab attack bonus setup. Also consider killing the ones at brimhaven dungeon as they are 30 combat levels lower. 1. Slayer helmet/black mask 2. Amulet of torture/fury/glory 3. Any ardougne cloak 4. Brimstone boots 5. Ferocious/barrows/dragonstone gauntlets 6. Treasonous ring (i)/brimstone ring 7. Dragon defender (with extended SUPER antifire potion) 8. Dragon hunter lance/osmumten's fang/Zamorakian hasta (lunge/stab) 9. Use dragon warhammer/arclight spec to lower defence levels 10. Summon thralls in arceeus spellbook for increase DPS 11. Use divine super attack and str pots to keep levels unchanged 12. Use best attack/str prayers possible, piety/chivalry/ultimate for max DPS

Standing on the last stepping stone in Kourend is a good safe spot, also can use telegrab.

Super anti fire potions can block the dragonfire breath completly! No need for the shield you can use a +magic boost on your offhand.

definetly use stab, dragons are weak to stab and on top of that the abyssal dagger has a +75 stab bonus compared to the +40 slash bonus
