Side note, I have the paid version. From what it's told me, there isn't a specific way it's being distributed. The following is verbatim from the new model, on how it's distributed. Great video, as always, and NotebookLM is amazing. Maybe one of the most practical usecases of AI working in the background in a real product, that isn't directly an assistant, we've seen so far.
What I really want is GPTs! If I could use the voice to access knowledge bases and then send the results to my Notion database with an action I would be very happy already.
I received the conversational model with the blue ball about 4 days ago. When I turned it on today, it was back to the standard 4.0 version that isn't conversational and can't be interrupted. Any ideas as to why. Great channel by the way.
You may have already heard by now, but apparently there are time limits on the voice for the time being. That will probably change as things get cheaper and more efficient.

It told me that they were still making some fine tuning to the conversational model, and that I would probably experience the switch back and forth some more. It was right. Naturally. lol
i am in the EU, using it on my iphone 15 pro max and running iOS 18, and tried using Nord vpn - at the end of the installation it tells me that there is something wrong and that if i am using a vpn i should uninstall or disable it. won;t go further than that, and after disabling the vpn it just runs the usual non-voice mode... anyone else experience this? any solutions guys?
actually i have just solved it - here is the problem and the solution: i had my mac open at the same time, so, probably it was seeing that i am in two places at once? (mac being in the EU, phone through VPN in the US) So i put my mac to sleep and went through the procedure once more - went without a hitch! so hope this helps you guys if you experience any trouble like i did

I tried it earlier this morning whilst asking it to tell me a random story. If you interrupt it midway through a story and say something like “actually can you continue this in a French accent?” It should do it. The same also worked when I asked it to finish the rest of the story in German. It’s absolutely insane, I hope you get it to work!!

In Switzerlsnd is still the voicemodel from last year. So I pay the plus gpt but we have a poor old voice model... so the presentation before summer was live voice with camera ( for example math tutor). But here its without csmera and long thinking time, so nothing with live...i oay for plus, but I thinks this was only marketing trick to get new costumers... but I am disappointed, waiting so long and here we still have the same voice model in German like last year... it feels like a lie...

I disagree. Art is not a medium, it's an expression of human feelings. Artists have always evolved to use the tools of the time, from cavepainting to canvas to photos to video, from singing and clapping to crude instruments to highly sophisticated ones to digital music. And at every major transition people have claimed confidently art is dead, and every single time they have been wrong. As long as people have feelings and want to express them we will see art evolve with the times.

@@PapillonTheconnect to any country outside of UE, UK or the USA. For some reason VPNs in the USA don’t let you connect to OpenAI servers.

I use Nord but I think the order is important. Delete the app first then connect and then redownload and login and it worked for everyone I know
