Eusebio Pedroza - Was a Panamanian boxer who held the WBA and lineal featherweight championship from 1978 to 1985, having defended the title against 18 different contenders, more than any other boxer in featherweight history. His cousin, Rafael Pedroza, was a world champion also, in the junior bantamweight division, although Rafael's reign as world champion was short-lived. During Eusebio's reign, talks surfaced of a unification bout against World Boxing Council and lineal featherweight champion Salvador Sanchez. Pedroza retired with a record of 42 wins, 6 losses and one draw, with one no contest and 25 wins by knockout. He is a member of the International Boxing Hall Of Fame and widely regarded as one of the greatest Featherweights in boxing history.

One of the greatest Featherweights of all time at the peak of his powers! By 1981, Eusebio Pedroza was already an established world champion with 10 consecutive title defences under his belt and here in this fight against Patrick Ford, he once again proved his greatness by putting on a dominant display after some competitive early rounds. Pedroza outclassed Ford in every possible category as the fight progressed and put on a clinic of fast combinations, punching power and excellent defensive skills. El Alacrán was an exceptional talent in his prime and although he was known for his dirty tactics, his boxing skills were also second to none. Pedroza at his best! www.patreon.com/haNZAgod
Now this is a true great
Pedroza is an underrated legend. After consecutive knockout losses to Alfonso Zamora and Oscar Arnal, no one would have expected him to become one of the longest-reigning featherweight champions of all time. His success story is truly inspiring.
I'm glad that you have put the spotlight on other Panamanian fighters.
it's annoying when people argue with me and tell me we aint got nothing more than Duran.
he would have man handle sanchez
Unflinching focus. Immaculate pulls followed by uppercut counters thrown from the socks to the ceiling. Deliberate, exacting patience. Crackerjack timing. The sweet science of bruising at its finest. RIP.
The fact that we'll never get Pedrosa vs Sanchez hurts. It would have been a super fight for the undisputed Featherweight crown. It could have been in. 83 for the brand new IBF strap, making it the first 3 belt era championship. R.I.P.
Also enjoyed them extra curricular activities.
I like that you used the same music here as you did for your Pedroza highlight from 6 years ago, pretty nice detail!
One of the great tv fighters of the 80's.
Pedroza was a master.
They don't make tombstones for stray dogs
Eusebio Pedroza, a featherweight marvel
wait, isn't that a quote from megalo box? did they take it from pedroza?
@@taha-gz1pf nah i just use it cuz i thought it fit him, also if u shave his chevron like moustache, he kinda looks like Joe
Og's know this is a re-upload.
Let's give a shout out to Hanza.
Bringing back a lot of memories.
This is the vid you're referring to I think bud: ua-cam.com/video/TVWZGfm41kc/v-deo.htmlsi=TFvXwiTteRnmIt8n - different highlights but the same track used.
@@hanzagod The song is perfect and both highlights are very well put together. Thanks Hanza.
it’s the same music but not the same video
One among my preferred and one of the first i saw...love him ❤
Underrated
Man i love him he was beautiful in this fight! God bless him with love forever and ever my champion!
The featherweight version of Bernard Hopkins. Smart, great stamina, great defense, a junkyard dog who could get very down and dirty, great chin when he needed it, and massively accomplished.
great skills super slick
This was a clinic!
Great dominance by Pedroza against Ford.
I asked Juan Laporte who would’ve won between Sanchez and Pedroza. His response was as long as Pedroza is allowed to do all his ‘usual tricks’ (low blows) then Sanchez might have trouble. Although Salvador would win on points or knockout with a counter left hook.
That's awesome! I'll be seeing him in January once the smokers start back in PR. I'm asking him the same question. Laporte is an amazing person
Don't think so it would be close though
Pedroza was kept on calling him and it was Sanchez who avoided Pedroza. Both were spoiler type of fighters with only fair punching power. Sanches is way overrated. Pedroza would have been too skilled for Sanchez. Pedroza had much better defense and Sanchez was no big puncher. Pedroza was much busier and threw the twice more than Sanchez did. Pedroza had large size advantage and he was much quicker than Sanchez. I believe Pedroza would have beat him on points.
@@SUPERMAR1O0224 Sanchez fought against Laporte when he only had 16 fights at the time pedroza would give Sanchez a very difficult time but don't know who would win
@@himawalincat9350 thats why sal keep on talking about fight alexis. he knew alex was moving up. he avoided pedroza
Awesome video as usual.
Could you do one of charles conwell?
Thanks bud. Definitely one for the new year for sure.
A fantasy fight between Loma and this guy could make Matrix looks like a child game
he would have man handle loma never fought someone who will make him miss and pay
I took a glance and thought it was ken norton, lmao
Me too
It´d have been a great fight with Salvador Sánchez; only god knows what would have happened.
Underrated legend. It is a shame that the casual audience doesn't know who he is.
On another note, would you be willing to make a video on Oleksandr Khyzhniak, the olympic gold medalist? I love his pressure style. Very entertaining.
Footage from the Olympics is heavily copyrighted but I'll check out his other fights at some point and see if I can do anything.
@hanzagod Aw that is a shame. I was just watching his stuff and I thought it would make for a great video. Thanks anyway. I've been a big fan of yours for almost 10 years now!
Thanks man I appreciate that glad you enjoy!
