I love this video Renno. The 97 is a route that rocks and is one of my favourite west ham routes alongside the 474 which i’m sure you know stuff about that route anyway, yeh get me? But the 97 is great as it’s the last route to solely work scanias in london and in stagecoach lo don’s network as a whole I believe. I will be sad when it goes to LI as the stagecoach scanias will more than likely die so i gotta make the most of them before they go, as the time is not that long away for when the scanias are soon to be on the brink of withdrawn. Great video renno to say the least and hope you make more videos of these soon. Will you drive more WH routes like the D3, 323, 330, 474 and 241? Would be nice to see you doing more routes than being stuck on the routes you’re put on duty i.e the 97 and 277. So when you do get the chance to drive more routes i will sure be there to watch it. So strange that not only do I use the 97 all the time, but now find you use Vicky Park which I cycle through regularly, the festival is 4 days over the bank holiday weekend, but at my age I've only heard of Stormzy & Haim. One thing that seems strange is why run a bus back empty, surely finishing it at Stratford makes more economic sense as it's far nearer the garage.
😂😂that's interesting. Yeah it's does make more sense finishing at Stratford , it's quicker and easier but you do still run empty. When you finish at chingford you get to floor it( go at max speed) down the A406 which is fun

Yeah the driver cages is a really good safety feature or else there'd be so much driver assaults. Are driver assaults common in LA? Because not having the cages is concerning

Of course that's bull but America holds on to that and it puts employees at risk, especially nowadays 😔
Usually if I get a curtailment at Chingford Mount if it’s was at Leyton then I would of stayed on until at least up to Walthamstow and keep an look behind for either another 97 to Chingford Station or a 215 and get off when I see one so that I get up the hill.
I was aware 15044 was a great bus, proven with one of you colleagues giving it a battering up that Strat int. hill. Loved the way it drove assuming the driver was flooring it. But I might try out 15042. But Bro, have you driven 15001 the old dog but the new comer to WH?
The thing with the scania omnicity is that it has air conditioning vents on the ceiling near the lights but it doesn’t work so I guess that’s why they are getting withdrawn soon
@@RennoHundred Your welcome! 474 is understandable. And 238 is my local route and it shouldn’t be that hard. It’s basically Stratford, Plashet Road, Plashet Grove, High Street North and Barking Road. That aside it’s ok if you don’t like it. Hopefully I see you one day on 238.
@@MajidTransportYT it's not hard to learn it's the fact that the roads are messed up. Unlike 97 which goes down wide roads the 238 does not and the type of drivers in newham aren't so nice😂 so id rather stick to other parts of east London
How does the shift schedule work for a full time driver? Is it always 7 days on and 2 days rest coz this is a major stumbling block. I’m waiting for my medical but this is something that’s been bugging me. Are there weeks were it is 5 days on 2 days off?
It's mostly 7 days then 2days rest , you also do 6 days and 2 days rest. The five days then 2 days off isn't often. Most of the time it's 7 days then 2 days off

Isn't it the spec that London bus companies don't order buses with good air conditioning? Not necessarily the manufacturer. Just like new London buses seem higher spec but only because they have started ordering higher spec buses, but these high spec buses existed for some years.
@@RennoHundred ah bless its what I was using when I done lorry driving I had to use it to record my driving time and breaks and had to follow the EU rule for trucking other wise its infringement if you don't take breaks when driving for 4 and half hours
My local I have to take this everywhere even shopping most my best route but you know what the problem is one of my buses got circulated and had to wait for the bus behind it circulated at Leyton midland Road Station and I recorded one driver who came from 397 Road who terminated at wc on Friday and went to Chingford via 397 so I decided to recorded that with start the ibus screen gone it dosent say the bus stop approching

I see. Yes you have 215 which you can take only up to Mansfield park. But another 97 comes shortly

what roads do you take to run light from Chingford to West Ham?
There's several ways to run light to West Ham one is line of route to Mansfield park then Waltham way, A406 then at Redbridge roundabout then A12
