Whats the longest delay in service you've experienced? I was on the 25 night rota at LI, on the night of the London Bridge attacks it took me 5 hours 45 minutes to get from St Pauls to Aldgate, bus was rammed and no info being given out. Route controller went silent along with Centercomm. I departed Oxford Circus around 2150 and arrived Ilford at 0240...Longest trip ever. Another time I lost about 4 1/2 hours on the 243 at Tottenham when the police closed Bruce Grove and held me there as the bus was inside the inner cordon. All fun on the 243's
I think maybe the day this 277 video was hot was the longest day in service. Wow 5hrs to Aldgate , that's crazy! That's a really long day. I'm sure the overtime money was good🤣 so was you with Stagecoach and arriva? Because 243 is arriva.

I started at London Forest, i was due to go on the 257 rota but then the pay strike finished the company and the routes and most of the drivers went to Capital Citibus, i wasn't at crapital shittybus very long, the buses were old relics from everywhere and it had a bit of a cowboy feel about it....I went to Leaside buses and ended up at Tottenham (AR) spent 3 years on the 243.
I remember Hoe Street in the sixties when they widened the bit at the top of the High Street to a double lane, plan was to make the whole road like this, now sixty years later they continue to make the road narrower, the bus lay-bys have all gone to be replaced by cycle lanes and hugely wide pavements.
That's interesting. On google maps you can go back in time and I saw in 2008 it was still like how you say it was then they started changing it. I think the current road layout is good though.
Everytime Dartford is screwed (everyday) the whole of Bexley is at a standstill, i was in Bexleyheath on Friday and 7 96s went passed me in the space of 5 mins😂
