If the complex permits it, and given the situation I don’t think it’d be too much of an ask, maybe look into a smart lock that’s compatible with whatever voice assistant you prefer, then it would be as fast and easy as asking someone to open it. There are smart locks that still maintain a physical key way, so you and the complex could still have a physical key, and most, if not all, smart locks still have an interior knob to unlock it from the inside in the event it loses internet connection or the batteries die.
I was approved by the Department of Rehabilitation to receive something that will open the door and lock/unlock amongst other things that will make me more independent but have yet to receive them.
I got my girl a finger print door handle... Bilateral phocomelia/ one shoulder finger both sides. It automatically locks outside and opens with a long speciality key, finger print, or code. There was options with a proximity transponder key for under $70. It's helpful because I don't want her locked outside helpless getting back inside.

Amy, can you help us understand why you have elected NOT to use any kind of prosthetic legs or at least leg extenders. I understand that upper extremity prostheses are an iffy business and many people consider them to be of only marginal help or strictly cosmetic. But it seems to me that legs are a different matter...even if they were only half-length (down to the normal knee area)...it just seems to me like it would increase mobility and decrease wear-and-tear on your lower body.
Of cause I would love to see all your chalenges and how you over come them. This is all part of loving you. I am a great believer in Jesus last commandment--Love one another as I have loved you. Also Now unto him that in able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think accordingly to the power that worketh in us.Eth 3:20. God bless you and Michael.
