Thanks for the well done overview. After 35 years in commercial photography, I am familiar with almost all of your cameras and your choices are astute. There isn't a second rater in the bunch. Thanks for the memories (should be in quotes). Rolleis rule.
Really it's a great opportunity, to exhibit a wonderful and sophisticated collection especially the Hasselblad camera, and highly expensive view wooden camera, film photography is a marvelous world, nowadays we missed it so much, Thanking you so much, for reminding me the art age of photographic equipment and practical manipulation.
One thing missed and that's very useful for the c 330 is the para mender which is a devise for really close up shooting. It attaches to the bottom of the camera and after you focus with the top lens, you turn the leaver on the para mender which will rise the camera so the bottom lens is now where the top lens was which takes the guess work out of super close up shooting. Great video! Thank you for sharing
Lol..when you were searching for words to describe the Pentax 67 the first thing that came to my mind was beast as well...have you ever used the Mamiya rb67 at all?...I have one and as much as I would love a Hasselbad I find it a beautiful camera to use,and their glass produces some amazing images..the quality almost equal to, if not as good as that of the Hassy's and at a fraction of the price ( the only thing putting me off of getting one )
This is good, i like. But what is the favorit cam, i was waiting so much to here your talk about what the favorit cam was! And i hoping it was the pentax 67
I started with a Minolta, but my first Nikon was the FM-2n. All my manual focus lenses work great on my D7100. Next in my collection is the Hasselblad 500CM w/50, 80, 150mm lenses. There is a part of me that wants a Crown Graphic to shoot large format. But my inner voice tell me that it will not be used very often. Do you use your 4x5 camera often, or is it more of a collection piece?? Thank You for your time.
I have a Zorki 4k with the great Jupiter 8 50mm lens on it. I have a Rolleicord VA which I used when I was 16 ( in 1961). So I am 72 now. I have a Nikon Fm with a 28mm 2.8. My Grandaughter has it at the moment. I have a 67 and a 6x7. Both have metering prisms which I find to be really accurate. 55mm F4 on one With Portra 400 and 75mm 4.5 on the other with Kodak Tri X. I meter my Zorki with an old Leningrad 4 meter. I also have a Gossen Sixtomat meter as a very accurate standby. I have a 9x12 cut film camera.Film now becoming available again. Triple extension on it. I have lots of Russians Zenit c, Zenit Em, Zorki 1, Fed 2, Cosmic Symbol. All loaded. I use Ilford Xp2 if I am lazy. Otherwise develop my own films. I have a Polaroid 600 which I love using for impromptu shooting with Impossible films packs. I don't care about the cost. People I know spend a fortune upgrading their digital stuff. I just buy film and darkroom paper. I have an Epson V500 to scan with. I love switching from camera to camera and love them all and know exactly what each is capable of. I just had my Rolleicord cleaned lubricated and adjusted. The slow speeds had got very slow and the self timer wouldn't make it. So now it's good for another 60 years. Great relaxed videos. Please keep letting us know what you are doing with your photography. Greetings from the UK.
thanks for sharing your film collection! I have almost the same cameras as you do apart from not buying the large format :). I have a rollei35, olympus OM1, Nikon F3, Hasselblad 500cm and a Seagull. Haha. why did we buy so many cameras? :P
On the Rollei 35SE, while designed to use the long-gone mecury oxide battery, of all the Rollei 35 models, only SE and TE have voltage regulation in the meter circuit. This lets them be powered by any modern battery 6 volt battery which will physically ftr the camera. I use a lithium 6 volt battery in my 35SE with perfect results. Otherwise, what an interesting cross-section of film cameras to have available.
Hermosas cámaras, yo tengo cannon ae-1, minolta x-700 y minolta maxxum 7. Me encantan. Cuando tenga dinero me conseguiré una cámara de formato medio, no sé cuál todavía. Saludos
Hasselblad and Pentax 67 wow i love it, i have the 500c and the 500elx with 50mm cfi 40mm cfe and 80mm cf, accesories...well i hope win some lotto to buy the new digital back, still love shot some film
Great video and great collection! Thank you so much, Stefan :) Btw, next time you will be in Czech republic, let me know we can meet up :) It would be great
I've been sucked into the whole digital world of photography, but it's really refreshing to see that people use film extensively. I have a question though: does the overall quality of the picture you take depend on the film you're using or the camera?
***** I now have another question. I'm super duper stuck between two SLR's, them being the Nikon F100 and Nikon F3. I really like the fact that the F3 is pretty much full manual, but I feel like the manual functions mayn't be so good for myself since I'm so used to automatic functions, and I may not catch on to all the manual functions. On the other side, I love the look of the F100 since it's something I'm more familiar with, but I feel like I'd be too comfortable with the camera, and I want to go out of my little box. From your experience with the F3 and possibly the F100, which do you enjoy more?
***** That would be awesome if you had the tine for it. But I don't wanna have you do something you didn't plan on doing beforehand. Anyways, thanks for the advice! Ill try to an F3 at a pawn shop or ebay or something. Again, thanks!
Joshua Lonsako The F100 is a powerful analog camera with a cheap price tag however like you guys have already discussed it is very much like shooting a DSLR and lacks the analog experience; other than getting a roll of film out of it at the end. I would say it depends very much on your style of shooting.
Thank you for the input, appreciate it. Would you say there is any big differences between the Pentax645N vs Contax645? Looking to potentially buy one of these film cameras in the future and I know the price on the contax645 is pretty outrageous so curious on your input since the pentax645n is much more affordable

***** Thank you!
Its the only 35mm camera you ll ever need.
Wow I'm jealous!
