I appreciate you making this video :) A few things to add -you don't have to drop your spare tire -you also don't need to remove the exhaust hangers -canister does need to be un-bolted but nothing electrical needs to be disconnected -adhesive promoter and double sided tape doesn't work very well, I used flex glue but any clear adhesive will work to mount the hitch cover Thanks again for the informative video -Took me about 2 hours start to finish while taking breaks and getting parts I needed
Just wanted to say thank you for the video,. Just installed this today and it was actually not hard at all after the rotozip part was done. While having the install guides from Nissan the video really helped with the pop its trick.
Easy Fix for Rusty threads: Rusty threads are very hard to work with if not impossible, and breaking a bolt off in the frame would make for unsafe hitch install. Here's the FIX! Buy a (metric ) tap and die set from harbor freight. Simply run the proper tap through the rusty bolt hole with plenty of spray lube and it will remove ALL the rust. The tap is flat on two sides to allow room for the rusty material to collect, so screw in the tap until heavy resistance is felt. Back it out and wipe off the rust from the tap. Re-lube with your favorite spray and run the tap in again. It will turn easy until you get to the rusty portion and then turn it in until it gets hard. Repeat the remove and clean the tap. It only takes 2-3 min per hole. When done, you will be able to HAND thread ALL of your trailer bolts, and then they will tighten perfectly to 80-90 lb with torque wrench. I've been using the same $15 tap tool for 15 years and installed over a dozen hitch's with no stuck or broken bolts. Some of my installs have been on 10 year old vehicles, with very rusty bolt holes.
Thanks for the video! I installed the OEM Tow Harness Kit & and Draw-Tite receiver. Zip tied them together for now.

hello Great video just wondering on the cost to add a oem set up and does it come as a set or each part on its own
The back beauty piece has 2 screws and double sided tape? Is that all that holds it on?
I took mine to nissan. After one month, that piece fell off
nice video! do you know if a 4-5k lbs boat can be safely tow from a ramp with a Pathfinder and this hitch?
Kinda late but 5k is the max
thanks for the video and the instructions. great info
What is the tongue weight on that?
Any regrets installing the hitch in the bumper instead of the easier hitch under the bumper
For the finisher, are 999T5-RZ030 and 999T5-RZ040 one and the same?
Don't know, looks like that
are the part numbers in the description all parts needed?
Yes... You might need a tap to clean the threads in the chassis. Please see the video for the dimensions
Good Job. Very helpful
wish the video was about a minute or 2 longer to see a full view of the finished product
I think I'll be letting a mechanic do this for me. Lol
