I love when my beauty influecers don't look airbrushed perfect. I want to sit down and watch a beauty video with someone who's relatable. I see a chipped nail and think, "yeah, I have a chip on mine, too!" 😊

It was so "well loved" I loved her, she was one of the first I watched who was cruelty free, (which are hard to find and even harder back then)

Two things 1)You are spot on about products getting played out. I hear Naked, Luminoso, or Pillow Talk and I'm instantly put off. 2) I WISH I had nothing better to get upset about than a chip on someone else's nails. How perfect life would be! Great video Jen! ❤
Haha yes!! I always get the " you're supposed to be a beauty influencer how can you have chipped nails?" Well...I'm a Mom first and I have better things to do sometimes. 😂
Wow, people blow my mind. You are a wife and mother with a home to take care of first and foremost. Nails can wait, who cares. Great video as always and truthfully I prefer my beautiful beauty influencers to NOT be perfect because no one is!!! ❤
Thank you Tonya! I agree, I have so much going on and it's hard to just sit and do my nails...especially because they take so much time to dry and I always end up smudging them because I don't have time to let them dry all the way.
I know...it's so crazy but I've gotten those comments so often. They think that because I'm a "beauty influencer" everything needs to look perfect. Maybe for someone who has all day to primp themselves but I have a busy life!
Jen, you work so hard to give thorough and honest reviews. Why would anyone get upset at you for chipped polish?! That's so rude of them! You have a life outside of YT videos and we should all give grace to others. You are wonderful just as you are...every time!!
Oh my God, Jen! Don't ever apologize for something like that. Whomever is saying these super trivial things really needs to take a look at their lives. We love you!

Oh the foundation & blush do look very nice. Pretty! You always just amaze me with your powerhouse knowledge when you compare a product to another. I just appreciate you so, so much !
I see an Elf primer dupe. I don't usually wear foundation UNLESS its from CoverGirl. That was my favorite to wear as a teenager and remains the same today. Hands down, I think they nail it every time.
I actually really like the Milani Luminoso products and the lip oil color looks fabulous on you! Your reviews are so fresh as I never feel like you are pushing products. Thank you.
I’m excited that Cover Girl is trying to come out with more forward thinking products! It is a brand that I remember fondly from my teenage years and I’d love to see the brand continue to stay competitive!
I love how you’ve been styling your hair over the past couple years or longer. Time flies 😂 today’s is so pretty and simple and just gives me ideas on how to do my hair instead of a quick messy bun sometimes
I really appreciate that you talk about regular drug store makeup... I can't afford a lot of the high end makeup and so many UA-camrs focus on just high end stuff.
Thank you for allowing us to see your chipped nail. You are such a role model for my grandchildren. I’m tired of the “perfect world”. Wake up people it doesn’t exist!
Love you Jen! The glowy blush looks really pretty on you! I like the Mauve-y lip color the best. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the next video.
Hi Jen, how are you? Boy, I remember that L’Oréal primer in pink jar from more than 10 yrs ago when I was still working as a nurse! It made my skin look so nice under both powder and liquid foundation. I used that cover girl clean foundation fifty years ago! I loved the Noxzema smell! I used Noxzema for a cleanser and a moisturizer. There was nothing else except this product made by Ponds called Happy Face put out in in a pretty opaque white curved jar with a painted face on it with rosy cheeks and smile! It was nothing but cold cream in a pretty jar. But the coverage of the Cover Girl was amazing! Who even heard of primer back then? I love the Milani lip oils! My daughter bought me a few of last Christmas time. Talk about flight of ideas! Been great chatting with you! Sending you and all my friends here at Jen Phelps a big, loving hug!🙏🏻❤️🤗🌹
I totally agree with you about expanding on a successful past beauty theme like UD Naked, Nars Orgasm, and Too Faced Peach comes to mind as well. It feels old and tired. Bring us something fresh and new! Also, I agree about CG not having stand-out mascaras. I've never tried a CG mascara that has worked for me. The CG Clean Invisible foundation intrigues me, though! It sounds perfect for spring and summer.
THIS is one of the reasons ur my absolute fave! I just seen these products on Ulta, no reviews anywhere, then here you come with the reviews I need. Like the new Maybelline mascara, added to cart and now i know if i should purchase or not. Always on top of it 😊❤ Id love a replacement for the Tarte smoothing primer, my pores are huge so its the only one that really helps me but its so expensive
That CG foundation is so nostalgic for me, but I agree the fragrance is overpowering. I saw all the glass bottle versions on clearance at my Target yesterday so now I know why! Btw, that pink top is gorgeous on you 🤩
🌹🌹🌹 Jen, have you ever tried the Revlon Photoready Pore Reducing primer (the pink one in a small, acrylic container, with a black pump)? I have a feeling that you might LOVE it since you appreciate the L'Oréal one... It's one of the best (if not the best) drugstore primers, in my opinion. Of course, we all have different preferences, when it comes to anything at all in this life and I'm only recommending it to you because you love the L'Oréal one and we seem to have VERY similar preferences... 🌹🌹🌹 P.S. I actually find it comforting that you don't always bother with your nails because it's unnatural to always have perfectly manicured nails so, good for you! 😘 P.P.S. Omg... Those Noxzema days... LOL 🤣 I'm in Montreal but totally have the same triggers... It immediately brings me back to high school... And the Worth It blush looks AMAZING on you! Such an unexpectedly flattering color!!!
Yes! That Revlon primer is really nice! I didn't think they still made it because I haven't seen it in stores lately. I'll have to check around for it and try it again, it's been a long time!
@@JenPhelps I’m so glad you agree!!! 🌹🌹🌹 I don’t know if you can still get it in stores but last year, I saw it in my local pharmacy and you can definitely still get it online… It just doesn’t get any love at all, simply because there are so many new primers coming out every year… 😅
I used to use that CG foundation too, I just knew they was gonna jack up the price of it, so glad they didn't cause I want to give it another try, it looked amazing on you Jen!
Years ago Cover Girl had a lipstick called Mocha, it was the perfect Rosy mauve, I haven’t been able to find anything close sine, wish they would bring it back.
I'm nearly giddy with the re-release of the Covergirl Clean makeup--one of my long-time favorites, but I just couldn't tolerate the scent. I've got a spot-on shade-match in that line, and it's an absolute underrated gem of a foundation. Great video and I'm looking forward to trying the foundation and CG's new lipsticks!
Love u, ur efforts, + ur vulnerability. This is not a nail video‼️… so for u complainers… use ur troll hand, grab a drink, sit back, relax + feel the joy the rest of us feel from her videos, come what may.
Covergirl seems to be doing something similar to what Milk and Elf did. And I'm so glad you love the L'oreal primer as well! It's so good. I have 1 left in my restroom. I will be on the search for more on Amazon when I run out. And people that get upset over YOUR nails are ridiculous. People need to get a life. You work hard and put out great videos. And holy moly on that Maybelline mascara! Very Voluminous! I'll have to try it. I'm a mascara junkie. And that L'oreal blush is really nice. Not too bright or dull. Prettiest look I've seen on you in a while.
Oh my gosh those blushes are beautiful Jen. I watch your channel for your honest reviews and your lovely personality Jen. That includes nail polish reviews too. You wear some stunning colours on your nails. In the real world, polish can chip. I don't even notice. Thanks again for a great video ❤xxxxx
The clean shadow sticks from Cover Girl are amazing. Highly recommend. I hear they are similar to Milani and the luxury shadow sticks and they shades are stunning. I recommend the CG shadow sticks over L’Oréal, Maybelline, definitely the Elf and even Mercier, Chanel, etc. CG Clean 3D mascara in berry brown is beautiful formula, shade and wand. Maybelline always has great mascaras. The Wet and Wild define mascara in the white and silver stripe tube is great for natural but noticeable lashes, but the wand is what makes it so great imo, very unique, and does the trick.
I’m really interested in the CG foundation. The two drawbacks with the previous version were the smell and the bottle without a pump. The product itself has always been really good.
Hey Jen, PLEASE let us know if you find a dupe for the Studio Secret primer. I bought it a long time ago from your recommendation and I love it! So very sad it’s discontinued. 😔
L’Oreal discontinued the liquid shadows. Those were my favorites, they lasted so well on me and the colors were beautiful. Interestingly CoverGirl also released eyeshadow sticks, as well. I bought them while they were buy 2 get 1 from Ulta and I love the formula. Shades look very similar across both launches and I definitely think more companies are launching single shadows right now to compete with luxury brands. I can’t find the stone shade from L’Oreal’s launch anywhere, though 🤔
Hi Jen, can you recommend some products for mature eyelids? My eyeshadows look like reptile scales on my lids, I need something to smooth out my skin. Appreciate all your efforts, look forward to your videos everyday. You look so lovely in pink!
Jen uses and recommends the MAC Paint Pot in Painterly as an eye shadow base. I don't know if she used it in this video and didn't mention it. I bought it a few weeks ago and have been quite pleased with it. I'm 62 and have dry skin and some crepe-y skin around my eyes and quite a bit of discoloration on my lids. YMMV, of course.
Hi Jen! I am very excited for your best and worst coming in June. I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on maybe your top 3, or even 5, in each category for summer makeup? Your reviews and feedback just make shopping for products so much easier and more enjoyable!
I always avoided CG because of the Noxema mentholated fragrance. Glad they finally removed it. I stopped wearing foundation in my 30s (back in the 90s) since it made my skin look worse & I can't even remember what drugstore foundation I used to wear. More recently (past 5 yrs or so) I was wearing a cushion foundation by Loreal. I liked cushion foundations & it was the only one that wasn't fragranced (K beauty cushions were too perfume-y or smelled like sunscreen) But of course it was discontinued. 😢 I was a Maybelline wp mascara wearer but had to switch to Clinique's tubing because my eyes kept getting irritated. I'm happy to see creme & satin finish lipsticks making a comeback, I can't do matte & dislike anything too frosty or metallic.
Jen, Thanks for always including important details about the products, as you did with the Maybelline mascara brush being really “bendable”. I don’t like brushes like that so it was a critical mention! Love from the Jersey Shore ☀️
I am so excited for Covergirl to have reformulated and repackaged the Clean Invisible Foundation! It looks like they may have added some new shades too? I will be checking this out for sure.
Nothing is wrong with real nails! We don’t have to have our nails done, also very long nails aren’t hygenic. Jen love your videos, don’t let them bother you! We don’t have Milani, Covergirl or etc. in our country but I loving watching your reviews! Thank you❤
That mascara in the pink tube looks great. My dark lashes don't hold a curl-5 minutes after I curl and apply mascara they are straight BUT now I use Maybelline volume express colossal mascara keeps my lashes curled and super long all day!
Pretty in pink👍 Your blouse and color are so pretty on you. Ty. for another great video, love the drugstore makeup 💄,esp. since large companies make the same formulas for high end and drugstore, lol

That mascara in the pink tube looks great. My dark lashes don't hold a curl-5 minutes after I curl and apply mascara they are straight BUT now I use Maybelline volume express colossal mascara keeps my lashes curled and super long all day!
Why do people think they have the right to leave negative comments, Jen you do a great job ❤
Jen you are amazing. You have working mom's hands ❤.
I didn't notice your chipped nail polish. You look fine as always.
The covergilrl new primers remind me of the Laura geller primers. The component aswell as the formulas.
Thanks Jenn!❤
Pretty in pink👍 Your blouse and color are so pretty on you. Ty. for another great video, love the drugstore makeup 💄,esp. since large companies make the same formulas for high end and drugstore, lol
The blush and lipstick look fantastic as does that foundation. You always have terrific videos. Thanks
