I’ll be honest, the episodes I was least interested in as a kid were the ones that were heavy on a politics and real world problems. Nowadays, I find myself enjoying those episodes more than ever. The Clone Wars is the same show with a different coat of paint on it.
Jet Flash Same for me as well. I use to want more the large battle action heavy episodes during the Clone Wars. While I still enjoy those episodes, I’ve begun to appreciate some of the more political heavy episodes more.
Alex McBride absolutely. Today, I realize how corrupt the Republic was and exactly why the Separatists, while also corrupt, left. There’s so much nuance that’s discussed in The Clone Wars that I just missed as a kid.
Jet Flash idk to me it never made sense because I never got enough of it. Yet again never watched the clone wars and only grew up with Clone Wars and the video game from 2002 I consider that as my cannon because I’m not interested in watching a show. It feels like a time waster for me.
HOPELESS Ent. Well, it’s a decent enough show and it’s not much of a chore to watch it. Most of the episodes are GOOD content, but hey, that’s all right.
@@FlashDINOLORDREX it makes padme's question to Anakin about being on the right side of the war in episode 3 have more sense than before
While i grew up with all sorts of Clone Wars animations, S7 certainly feels like the good ol days and i feel no difference
Agreed.
It feels slightly different to me, but I'm not entirely sure as to what is different.
@@adancingpieceofbread8109 Couple of things-
1 The animation is much improved
2You have grown and are expecting things from the show, judging every scene, every moment, analysing it
Senate OP I still wake up at 03:00 to watch the Clone Wars, because their awesome!
@@punkfunkyeahstudios1718 I wait till they are available to torent xD
Still feels the same but remember people are never happy
Especially with this Fanbase. Don't care what anyone says, the level of saltiness and useless constant complaining that goes on is well above the medium you see in other places around the net.
Nick Well I mean it’s Star Wars it’s one of the biggest movie franchises in the world of course it’s gonna have that.
no one hates star warss more than star wars fans
@@Epiousios18 that's because we don't have anything better to. We can't help but complain because our expectations are so fucking high that they right next to the sun. I don't mind this arc because it serves as the calm before the storm that is order 66 and siege of mandolore so we can see what Ashoka has been doing after she left the Jedi.
k R More like nobody hates Disney Star Wars like Star Wars fans.
People don't realize that season 7 really just exist to tie up Loose Ends for certain characters as to where they are during this time in the Star Wars universe. After Ahsoka left the Jedi Order it would not make sense for her to show up in any one important battles during the Clone Wars. I actually kind of enjoy how the show is now taking its time in the middle of the season after such an action heavy Arc with the bad batch. The last episodes when they bring Ahsoka and the Clones together like I think they've teased that will be a great finale.
Exactly. And even in the first 6 seasons not every arc was about the actual Clone Wars either. I'm pretty stoked. Bad Batch Arc was action heavy and dealt with the actual war. This Ahsoka arc lets us know what happened to her. And while I think the first Ahsoka episode was a bit weak, the second episode has me pretty excited for the rest of the arc. And then of course the final arc will deal with Maul and I'm very excited for that. Overall, sounds like a potentially great season to me!
KotorFan3231 is there any thing wrong with it tying up lose ends?
KotorFan3231 exactly, if ahsoka just popped up outta nowhere for the finally 1) it wouldn’t make sense and 2) I bet you everyone would asking what ahsoka was doing in between times. I also think that with bad batch you’ve seen the clones and especially rex on the war, no we r seeing ahsokas view and they come together for the finale. Think people just need 2 wait for this 2 all pay off in the end
@@thedarklord1964 never said there was.
KotorFan3231 oh sorry just kinda sounded that way with “people don’t realise that season 7 is just tying up previous story lines”.
Huh, for me the most "different" thing about it is the fact that these episodes actually feel like we're getting to the end of the series which I don't see as bad at all. Seeing Anakin and Padme's relationship develop and Ahsoka not being a Jedi in episodes of the clone wars now feels weird to me, but in a good way.
I've been rolling my eyes when people are saying Disney "ruined" the clone wars. There are only very minor changes from these episodes and the episodes George Lucas planned.
Agreed. The only thing that is a "ok but why?" Is that the third episode is shorter than the rest and is still a fun part of the Bad batch arc
Andy Wilson lucas didnt plan the episodes. Filoni and his writing crew did. Lucas was the producer. The job of a producer is making sure the production is running smoothly and that it doesnt go over the budget.
@@memeking7273
Because when you're on a streaming service, there is no arbitrary episode length, and shorter episodes don't need to be padded out, nor do longer episodes have to be cut down.
Exactly, these episodes where planned to happen before the show was canceled. So it should feel the same as the rest of the series. And it does.
@@TheSEAempire didn't it go over budget a lot and Lucas paid for it himself?
As of right now, the only thing Disney and Dave Filoni fucked up with season 7 is not giving us ALL of the unfinished episode so that we get a full 22 episode season to end the show on.
I think it's because Disney gave him a pretty strict budget. I've heard that he said that he prefered quality over quantity, so he made a few better looking episodes rather then 22.
@@ondrejmaceska6196
It definitely shows too. The new episodes look the best out of all the others.
ClarkusMarkus I honestly don't like the animation changes
@@calebcustombricks2631 I love how they use depth of field and the fact that the models are much more detailed. They also use particles and cloth animation a lot more.
What I don't like however is the lower contrast. It makes it look more like flat and cartoony and less cinematic, in my opinion.
Yeah, that is the only issue. We really should have gotten Crystal Crisis, Yoda on Kashyyyk (probably spelling that wrong), Sons of Dathomir (I know it is a comic, but come on Dooku, Grevious, Sidious, and Maul in one story arc? yes please), Sith Temple (this one could be a standalone ep) and the Mon Calamari-Padme arc.
Truth is, Greedo, some people just see what they want to see.
Some people just want to watch the world burn

CSGO Twist I really like Carnage of Krell and Cat and Mouse
Punk Funk Yeah Studios oh yeah, my top 3 are: The Unbara arc, the citadel arc, and the Mortis arc. But like 95% of the arc are all good
CSGO Twist Mortis!!
Yep. The people acting like the new arc is cancer just can't accept it's the same as old CW. Some of the dialogue is clunky, but other than that, let's be honest: they just don't like the characters and/or want to say Disney screwed it up.
I think you’re missing the point of why people are upset with this arc. Filoni was talking about how much time they’ve had to make these stories the best they can be, and what we’re getting is very meh episodes with a limited run of only 12 for the last ever season. It feels like a waste of space of an arc.
VosBane sure buddy
@@castielffboi *what you are getting. It's based of your own personal experiences with the episodes, not everyone else's.
VosBane Filoni has also said this arc is very important 2 understanding ahsokas character and the voice of Ashoka said this arc makes so much more sense when you see the siege of Mandalore cause this arc helps establish ahsoka after leaving the Jedi. @@castielffboi
That's very subjective.

Disney deserves to be hated. Maybe not for this necessarily, but there are a lot of very good reasons.
You ever check the comments on Star Wars' Instagram posts? Half the comments are people complaining about Disney ruining Star Wars.
@@AbjectPermanence
Bro, it's really annoying and exhausting when people complain about every damn thing and act like you're stupid for actually enjoying the things they didn't. It's exhausting because I watch Star Wars and basically every other media for entertainment, to get away from our often exhausting, negative, depressing, and boring reality. Yet now it seems like all that crap I'm trying to temporarily get away from makes its way into the things I enjoy, making it hard to actually enjoy them anymore because people seem to love to complain and hate more than to actually shut up and enjoy things for what they are.
@@ClarkusMarkus i know and I hate it. Those people just need to let those who like it do so in peace.
The most annoying part of this season is the fact that after every episode, I feel like it should be longer. I hate having to wait a week to get the next 20 minute episode but Im rlly enjoying this season so far.
I bet when you binge the arc all in one go itll be fine.
That's why I'm waiting until May 8th when the last episode releases. I don't want to be drip fed bits of content so I just wait until it's all there.
It’s weird that it’s 20 minutes. There aren’t any commercials so there’s no need to not make them a half hour
I rewatched the clone wars and i got used to sit for two hours and six episodes straight so this definitely feels weird

@@memeking7273 there is already a huge line of comics featuring Vader chasing jedi and settling other things. And her personal agenda didnt ruin star wars :I
It doesn’t feel exactly the same for me as season 1-6 (probably coz I’m older now) but it still feels like clone wars
Yeah, the bad batch arc really had that season 5 quality to it. This is definitely a bit weaker
Feels the exact same to me. But then again I started watching the Clone Wars in 2017 and finished it that same year. I don't think the Clone Wars have changed. Like HelloGreedo said, I think the audience has changed and now that they are no longer kids they are now able to grasp the somewhat subtle (pretty obvious) political commentary.
Jason Shaneyfelt the thing is tho that’s not really valid, One of the reasons Clone wars is so beloved is because it grew up alongside its viewers.
We started with some kiddish episodes, that really matures and the writing Got much better.
@@_greenrunner_ yeah it grew and evolved to some degree, but after the first season or so, the "adult" stuff (political commentary, etc) was always there. Season 7 is no different. The difference is many of the original viewers are now picking up on it for the first time because they are much older now.
Jason Shaneyfelt here is the other thing, most of the time it was actually relevant to the plot in some way.
The only "difference" I see is the incredible bump in quality and cinematography. The heart of the show still feels the same as it was with the previous seasons.
People's expectations for Season 7 are so high, even before the season started I knew there were gonna be people complaining that they're favorite character didn't show up or something
Mr skeleton Imo I think part of the reason why people’s expectations were so high because it’s going to be the LAST of TCW. They’re expecting something incredibly grand rn when in reality it is playing out like any other season of the show.
Can you really blame them? I mean, this is the SEVENTH season to a show that proved that it can be more than cheese. To a show that had twenty episodes per season, which gave Filoni and Co. enough time and experience to learn what works in some stories and what doesn't in others (not to mention the amount of time they had during the show's hiatus). How the hell do you create something like the Umbara arc and then make the Martinez arc afterwards?
From someone who DOES have the nostalgia...the shit really IS the same. It just has the tiniest smidgen of Rebels in the dialogue, which I think threw people off a little
Trace’s dialogue feels a bit too much rebels for my tastes but otherwise nothing is really different.

I love the point about how the latest Clone Wars episodes lack political allegory to real life war and politics. People try to say "politics ruined Star Wars", and they fail to notice that the recent stuff under Disney has actually had the weakest political messaging with not much to say about real world political ideas. Not just here with these episodes of this show, but throughout everything Lucasfilm has put out since the Disney buy-out. The only way that "politics ruined Star Wars" is if the LACK of meaningful political allegory has made it less interesting. They've been fun adventures worth seeing, and I do enjoy what we've got, but it's extremely obvious to me that all the new stuff has been lacking the political punch of the stuff George Lucas had a hand in.
Agreed. Mandalorian and CWS7 have really been a turn around for Disney Star Wars, much more focused on the universe and it’s stories than politics.
SpetsnatzLegion 336 not exacfly sure that is what he is saying and also the sequels are really good (tros is fine) so
The last two clone wars episodes have had plenty of real world parallels. Building an Empire on the back of slavery being a big one, as well as the citizens in the underworld living differently than the wealthy on the surface. The Bad Batch had a bit as well, with pulling civilians into a war they don’t want to be a part of. These episodes are exactly the same as clone wars has always been.
@@spetsnatzlegion3366 Doesn't sound like you agree with them at all.
The issue is the same with ALL the new Disney era Star Wars, there are women, women who aren’t sexualised and are very capable. That to the angry screaming fandom is the epitome of ‘political’, they’re generally and genuinely unaware of the real world political allegory that has been baked in to the franchise since day one.
You're completely right, the new TCW is just like the old TCW, it's a mixed bag through and through.

Personally the only problem I have with season 7 is I would’ve preferred to have seen a lot of story arcs that were cut such as darth maul escaping from Palpatine, rather than this current Ahsoka arc. I feel like 12 episodes was just a really small amount for what was still left. But it totally is same old clone wars and I loved the bad batch arc
I’d have been fine if this Ahsoka arc was in the middle of a 22 episode season, but given that there’s only 12, I just think that we should’ve gotten something else like the Kashyyyk arc or Crystal Crisis or Boba Fett and Cad Bane
3:13 Actually, people are seeing transgressions in Sesame Street and The Muppets. That’s life on UA-cam and Tumblr.
The first two Clone Wars arcs were in pre-production at the time of cancellation. While some scenes have been added, removed, or changed the bulk of each episode is pretty much what we would've gotten had the series not been cancelled.
The real issue comes from the types of arcs we've been getting. Clone Wars seasons have always been a mix of great, good, and forgettable arcs. As much as I love the final two stories of Season 5, I barely remember Onderon.
The best arcs of the Clone Wars either dive deep into the characters or explore some strange pocket of the Star Wars galaxy. While there were numerous planned arcs that would've filled that quota (i.e. Dark Disciple), Filoni chose to prioritize arcs that were relevant to the endgame. Bad Batch isn't as deep as Umbara; but, it's a classic Clone Wars arc that serves as a nice reintroduction to the world. Likewise, the current Ashoka arc may not be the most eventful story, it's important to establish what happened to her after she walked down those steps - plus her previous arc was the season finale so of course that one would pack a bigger punch.
The standout of this season is probably going to be The Siege of Mandalore. Along with prominently featuring characters we know and love along with some impressive action scenes, it'll also serve as the culmination of the series. After taking the time to establish the Clone Troopers as individuals and giving them strong relationships with the jedi, the payoff of seeing Order 66 take place will no doubt be one of the highlights of the series.
Even if this season doesn't ultimately live up to the hype, I'm grateful it exists. I was heartbroken when the series was cancelled and spent many years speculating about what could've been. While this season may not be everything I wanted, it'll be more than I ever thought was possible.
I was 15 when the Clone Wars came out, and to me it feels exactly the same!
IMO this current arc is something I wouldn’t mind if we had a full length season 7 but we only have 12 episodes and waisting 4 of them on this martez sisters arc when arcs involving boba killing cad bane and darth maul escaping sidious exist
The only thing that bugs me about this new season is that there are so many interesting arcs that are cut in order to fit the 12 episode cap.
Straight out of high school, I was a janitor at a middle school and I'd finish cleaning early on Fridays and take a long lunch. Mortis and Maul's return reeled me in to TCW and the 5 season box set made me get it and catch up then
The clones feels the same to me now. I’ve watched this show since it debuted and I was only 9 and the new episodes feel the same to me
Im in the same boat as greedo. I didnt grow up with the show and I got into it just a few years ago, long after it had ended, and it feels the same. The political agenda has always been left leaning, as with the rest of the star wars series, but its fine. I dont care about ang agendas, I care about watching good media. Disney is doing well with this new season, and Im excited to see the rest of it play out
The clone wars S7 does feel a little bit different... but not in a bad way. It’s a bunch of small stories mixed in with stories with serious implications on the greater Star Wars mythos. The difference is the with Ahsoka’s perspective, seeing the war more from the eyes of the little man rather than when she is smack dab in the middle of it as she was used to it, and that’s not something that we really got to see much in the old CW seasons.
I do think the new arc is a little boring but I always like to see Ahsoka. Honestly if the clone wars was never cancelled and just kept going this arc would be remembered as just a little boring, but because this arc is 1/3 of the final season of everyones favorite childhood show its going to be criticized A LOT more than it would have been.
It doesn’t feel different to me, there’s just a lot of clone wars episodes that aren’t that great, and this season is the same. The first arc is amazing and I know the siege of mandalore is gonna be amazing. Just in my opinion, trace and Raffa aren’t good characters and I’ve been bored with these Ashoka episodes and I love Ashoka so it’s not that . But that’s ok there are plenty of arcs in the clone wars that aren’t good
I kinda was hoping that Trace would have a different personalty the "cocky" since alot of TCW characters are like that, but I'm ok with it and am still excited for the rest of the season.
Raffa is about to replace Phasma as the worst female character in Star Wars
The only thing that has changed is the animation. I have been blown away by the visuals which have been getting better with each season. But Season 7 has to be the peak. Episode 3 was probably the only 'meh' episode to me. Otherwise I was very entertained by the Bad Batch arc. But I'm patiently waiting for the Siege of Mandalore because it has been promised since Season 5.
Ahsoka's arc is becoming more and more intriguing as it progresses, despite of my initial disinterest in exploring what Ahsoka did after leaving the Jedi Order

@@amanshukla6122 B1 Battledroid heads look weird though in my opinion
3:16 YES. THANK YOU.
I watched CW on and off when I was little and all this stuff went right over my head, but when I rewatched it to get ready for s7, I was laughing my ass off, cause the clone wars is one of the most politically driven pieces of star wars media ever 😁
Whenever someone complains about the politics of Canto Byte and then deems clone wars as the superior non-political SW content, tell them to watch the episode in season 3 called "Pursuit of Peace". It's the exact same message and it's just as, if not moreso, overt in it's presentation 🤣
(I also realized when rewatching that it's such a bias to consider Ahsoka leaving the Jedi as so noble and a fantastic star wars moment, and then call Luke a little bitch/pussy/immasculated for doing the same thing)
Star ward has always been left leaning. Lucas was a hardcore leftist. I dont care about the leanings in media, I just want to be happy while watching star wars. If it makes me happy, thats all that matters. The best way to enjoy star wars is to go into it with an open mind, which is where most fans fail
I believe most of those complain are because
A. We had a huge bar for Luke
B. Canto feels like it was shove into the story for not reason. You can make the argument that the last Jedi didn't need that master hacker subplot. Instead make it so that a small squad goes in and sabotage the tractor beam.
As for the CW the main reason it's getting disliked is because of Trace and Rafa and well how their actions could be seem like a SJW agenda. To me it's the same clone wars as it was when the show got cancel
@@memeking7273 Also I agree with the other points though, I thought Canto Byte casino looked pretty cool but it was useless.
@@memeking7273oh totally, I agree that in terms of pacing and plot structure, Canto Byte is really messy😁. My problem is with people dismissing it for sending the same philosophical messages that star wars has been sending for years.
Anyways, Cheers👌
Execution and importance. Canto Bight was poorly executed in my opinion and it was totally useless to the story and characters. The clone wars can try stuff like this because it's a 100+ episodes show. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't work. But main Star Wars movies shouldn't "try" stuff unless it brings a lot to the table.
I think it’s just because of the music, it’s used in different spots and sometimes even sounds different. Changes tone. I’m continuing to watch the vid and, and I honestly didn’t know anyone was getting mad about “agendas” lmao. Clone wars has always been about connections to the real world in a fictional universe.
I saw people complaining about the last 2 episodes being "feminist propaganda" on the CW facebook page...
- Male-led arc? *crickets*
- Female-led arc? "CATHLEEN KENNEDY IS RUINING STAR WARS WITH FEMINISM"
It seems to me like people are just injecting their ideologies into everything nowadays.
yep its terrible. A few years back, after tfa i talked to someone on discord and he was ranting about how terrible Rey is and how she is a mary sue and can do everything perfectly. So I asked him who his favourite SW Character was. Kyle Katarn. That was the point where i just had to ask him whats wrong with him. Kyle Katarn, the ultimate, he is a smuggler and a pilot and a great Jedi and a rebel and he safed lukes life, fanfiction level character was his favourite but Rey was terrible because she could do everything?
Urgh! sometimes people are just looking for something to hate, even if that makes them a hypocrite.
I just think the two new female characters have weird hair, that's all :p
Lets be honest here. I don't mind Rafa and Trace (even though I can't stand Trace) but it is pretty obvious why they changed the original male character to those two. It's because they are female. I don't mind really. But let's stay clear about why people are complaining.
Elise they have no reason to exist. That’s why I’m complaining.
@@Martin-ki8jv But why are they female? Because Kathleen Kenedy said: "They have to be female, i want to push my feminist agenda"? or because the writers felt they could tell a better story that way, (especially because they have to fit a great amount of character development into 4 episodes) and it feels more natural for Ahsoka to hang out with two girls her age instead of some dude who would immediatly be seen as love interest by the fans and who btw. was Asian because Dave said he wanted an Asian main Character in Star Wars.
I agree. I grew up with it and is still the same but with better animation and new designs for the main characters. I'm enjoying season 7 a lot and I'm liking the arc with the sisters. I think what's killing it is that it's only one episode per week and since people have to wait for each episode they feel that they're wasting time.
I can understand something like that, but I think they did it that way so you can have some time between episodes, rather than just binging them in a day and then having to wait a whole year.
Though I guess in this case, you're not gonna get anymore after this, so...
People are just looking for a way to hate on Disney.
Tbf there are much worse things than s7 to hate disney for, so I agree ppl are being to critical
Well, Disney let Filoni bring back only half of the season after they cancelled it, and instead of releasing it on Cartoon Network or Disney XD, they put it behind Disney+’s pay wall. So now not only people have to pay in order to watch new episodes, but also have to f*ck themselves if the service is not available in their country, which is a pretty common issue considering there are fans who live outside North America and Europe, something that Disney doesn’t seem to know. So people have more reasons than ever to be harsh and critical.

I literally grew up watching clone wars every Friday after school. I don’t notice anything different, it feels like a blast from the past, no idea what people are complaining about
I can't believe people's reactions to this new season. The majority of these scripts were already written before the series was cancelled! Sure they've made tweaks to make it fit better with all the new Canon stuff, or the Disney agenda, or however you want to phrase it. But these stories would still have evolved during their "normal" production run ten years ago. Some of the other scripts that were written we saw adapted as novels and comics, which I thought was brilliant, and now we finally have the end of this beloved TV show. This is going to be epic no matter what happens. It's the same goddamn people, the same writers, directors, actors, and even the same f*cking scripts. The Clone Wars is back, y'all!!!
Yep.
The Ahsoka arc was altered. There was this dude in the original reels but now we have the sisters. I can’t speak on if the other guy would’ve been a better option but the sisters aren’t the best.
@@castielffboi I'm aware there were alterations; I mentioned as much in the essay above. Change is just a part of telling stories!
I am curious about how Ahsoka's Walkabout would have gone with Nyx Ocami instead of the sisters, but I personally feel that the story is better served by two characters instead of just one. The way the three play off each other just feels natural to me, and conflict is the heart of story. I'm not saying there would be no conflict with just Nyx, but the conflict between the sisters adds a narrative layer that just isn't possible with just Ahsoka and Nyx.
Joey DeYoung The change was mostly likely done to serve Ahsokas character development on a strict 4-episode time crunch, so it’s an understandable change.
@@castielffboi Yes, agreed.
I watched the entire 6 seasons of the clone wars in 1 month, starting in January, I feel so addicted to the show now
When something goes wrong in Star Wars: Kathleen Kennedy is ruining Star Wars
When there is good Star Wars content: Kathleen Kennedy who?
Basically they praise the mandalorian that was made in big part by Dave Filoni but hate S7 of CW that was made by the same guy and blame it on Disney.
I've noticed that when you bring up that Kathleen has produced several great movies (Back to the Future, Schindler's List, Indiana Jones), she suddenly becomes "Spielberg's coffee girl" and had no role in making the movies good. But when she produces a movie like TLJ (which isn't even bad, people just didn't like where the story went) she has all the power in the world and is maliciously ruining people's childhoods because she's evil and has it out for them personally.
Exactly! I do think that her firing random directors was a bad move, but I still think she's doing well at handling Star Wars.
ScalierLemon She was on a leash at least with those films, now she is running things into the ground.
zoroark MASTER Depends on how much he has to adhere to Disney in each project. My guess is that the CLONE Wars is a bigger deal so he has to be under more control there.
Season 7, the reason why I feel that it's different. There are so many moments where droids stop firing just bc they are mc's. Take the scene in badbatch on the rope line, the clone at one side literally just doesnt get shot at. Idk ik it's me just me gettin older or what but I dont remember such blatant behavior from the droids that I've witnessed here. (Yes ofc it happened a few times. But it feels like every action scene now)
After the new season ends can you finish rebels it is a good follow up to the clone wars
Rebels is badddd
Alejandro Kaplan It...tries to be? I feel like they wanted to do some much more but for some reason couldn’t. So I can’t fully recommend it to a person without warning “your going to have to go through some shit even in later seasons” or “your going to feel empty” or depending “you’re going to straight up hate half of it”
Alejandro Kaplan yeah it is I’ve been watching it again on Disney + I like it better sometimes
Alejandro Kaplan it’s ok but not worth the time imo
Nerd Squad if you get to the last season it’s really good
I feel you. I too never grew up with the Clone Wars as I felt that I was getting too old for cartoons when it came out. I also wasn't a big fan of the movie when my parents bought it for me for Christmas. I really wasn't excited when Season 7 was announced.
The inconsistency in bleeping out swear words is hilarious
For someone who binged the first 6 seasons for the first time nov-dec 2019, it does pretty much feel the same.
I feel it’s pretty in line with the rest. The agenda people find a agenda everywhere. If it’s your world you will see it.
So you dont find it suspicious that every character besides the villains in the last 2 eps, is a woman? 5 protagonists, 5 women. That's SUM coincidence

@@FullOnMetalHead1995 imagine being the exact person this comment is talking about yet somehow you don't see it.

@@bobsmore98 terrible argument. There were a mix of genders in that arch. You're arguing in bad faith. Every person here, including greedo, can see very clearly when an agenda is being blatently pushed on screen. You're just too busy smelling your own farts to admit it.
@@FullOnMetalHead1995 Episode 2 of the Bad Batch arc is the only one with a single credited female voice actor so no, there isn't a mix of genders there. It’s literally the exact same show. As someone who just watched the entire series for the first time I didn’t even notice I was in the new episodes.
Outside of the animation, this feels exactly the same
It doesn't feel different for me either. It does help that I rewatch the rest of the episodes in the few months prior.
i had no idea people were acting up about the new season. Then again I don't get on Twitter or other stuff that often to know.

The funniest part is that these episodes are episodes that were mostly written a few years ago. They were the unfinished episodes, changed around maybe a little bit (two sisters instead of one mercenary for these most recent episodes), so it wasn’t ruined because it’s new but episodes made by the exact team that made the ones they all know and love
2:15 So the same problem with the fans when the prequels were released. Same old thing.
I'd say that part of the reason why the season feels so much like the old days is that the Bad Batch arc was literally unfinished and made it's way to UA-cam, meaning that some changes were made to make it presentable and we have a few episodes right there. I love that the show is back and these episodes feel like a natural continuation of what we got in the past.
This new season does indeed feel like a seamless transition. It started off very strong; however the handling of Ashoka's arc is not so good. I think it is mainly the characters of the sisters (seems so done already). BUT I have a good feeling that things will pick up and we will see Ashoka grow and the story get really interesting.
It’s not the fact that people think Disney has ruined the show, it’s the fact that this is the final season, this is it, and now it’s ending with a whimper.
I'm sure the ending will be fantastic, but this arc sucked. It's like captain marvel being in endgame. Just feels like something someone added in, and it's not terrible, but i know it shouldn't be there
Star Wars fans while endlessly criticising Rey, Rose, Holdo etc.: "We aren't misogynists! Look how much we love Ahsoka!"
*Clone Wars comes back and brings us an arc all about Ahsoka*
Star Wars fans: "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-"
I dislike those 3 characters.
Still like Ahsoka.
I think your confusing terrible writing with Misogynism. Holdo and Rose contributed next to nothing to the plot of the film and were poorly written. Ahsoka is a character that has had some of the best storytelling moments in the entire franchise and while I’m not particularly entertained by this new arc, she’s one of my favorite characters. Please keep your deluded gender politics out of my space opera
@@brandonaumiller3997 You know what else had terrible writing? The entirety of the Star Wars prequels, yet the same people shitting on the sequels are now praising that trilogy.

Disney: *12 episodes will do fine*
Literally every Star Wars fan:
*”No, they won’t-a”*
My favourite episodes were the ones with war and battles but even the ones with ashoka are fun even if that not the episodes i preferred , its the same clone wars but better looking and with new characters that's it.
Here’s how I see it:
Some people genuinely don’t like it, others just follow onto the “Disney bad” mentality
I've enjoyed it so far , but I do feel like they haven't had a great episode yet , even though they've all been good
I went back and started watching TCW when the release date for S7 was announced, and I can safely say that you're 100% right. I grew up with the show, and have a lot of nostalgia for it, but I never let it blind me. I got up to Season 5 by the time Season 7 debuted, and *oddly enough* the show feels the. exact. same. People are clearly grasping at straws, claiming that it can't be the same, since it's Disney who made it, and Disney "ruined" Star Wars (no they haven't, The Mandalorian and Rebels are fine examples of Star Wars done right), but they forget that Dave Filoni is still there, writing and directing the show - the same dude who wrote and directed the previous seasons. The Clone Wars is effectively his story, and he clearly hasn't let Disney or anyone else change that, since from what I can tell, it's still The Clone Wars, just with some added, and much appreciated, improvements to the animation quality and artstyle.
But, but, but Disney and Star Wars is bad now.
That's all I assume they're thinking. Even though most if not all of this was half finished way before Disney took over.
DEY PUT WAHMENS IN MEH STAR WARS
Lion_Turtle you can even watch the original unfinished Bad Batch episodes. They changed some things but they aren’t that different from how they were.
@@jpem4664 Yup and from what I watched of the old unfinished arcs vs the current finished ones, like Bad Batch, the changes were for the better.
The Padme nose art thing seemed a little out of place while the sneaking around calling Padme was much better, especially with the inclusion of Obi-Wan.
Plus the ending of the Bad Batch arc was WAY better in the finished final episode than the unfinished one. Echo choosing to be with the Bad Batch instead of the very generic medal awarding ceremony was also a great change.
2:08 I don't know why, but this had me DEAD. Lol. Too funny.
In my opinion, the newest episodes have been the least exciting compared to the last seasons. Politics has nothing to do with it. Seasons 4-6 were amazing, so far Season 7 is kinda meh.
The reason it's the same is that the episodes in the first arc of season 7 were already written back when the show got cancelled, as a matter of fact, they even aired the what was finished of the episodes, terrible unfinished animation and all.
The problem with your take, HG, is ... is ... nothing. There isn't a single problem with it.
Sad you didn't like Picard.
Videos like these are why i love your channel
The first arc was amazing but it hurts knowing that they threw out really interesting arcs and then we got 4 episodes devoted to eghh, trace...
I agree. I respect the need to have another Ahsoka arc prior to the Siege of Mandalore, since it would feel jarring to just jump from her leaving the Jedi Order, to her going straight to the Siege. But I wish that something a little more substantive was going on with this arc, especially since we only have a limited number of episodes to work with for this final season.
I would’ve loved to see the Sith Shrine arc but I’ll be open minded and wait till the series is over to make a judgment on the arc. It’s not even completed yet. These next two episodes could really sway opinions. Ahsoka and Rafa are in it too and I’m sure the arc is about to ramp up. This isn’t the first arc that people haven’t enjoyed all that much anyways.
I agree. This is normal clone wars. But I think what I and many others have a problem with is that this shouldn’t be normal clone wars. It should feel like a grand finale to the show. There should be no need for filler episodes like “Gone With a Trace” or arcs that don’t really connect well with the main Star Wars storyline. That’s not to say that I’m disappointed with these episodes, just that this is the final season and we don’t have time to waste.
Especially since we are getting a shorter season.
Hey everyone, this is what an adult looks like. Take notes.
This arc with Rafa and Trace is going to be a four part arc.
*The only four part back-to-back arc prior to this was for Fives discovering Order 66 and his eventual permanent retirement.*
The amount of respect given to these brand new characters is disproportionate to the time and care that's been put into pre existing characters in what could be the final season of this show.

The episodes are being wasted on this fucking ahsoka arc which is taking WAAAAAYYYYYY too long to stop. There are only so many episodes left and they choose to waste them on this fucking shit. Thanks disney for fucking up season 7
My sister (who had only watched a few episodes here and there, when I was) and I decided to sit down and watch through the whole show when we were quarantined. I hadn't seen S7 yet, and I grew up with it. We got through in 6ish months, and there was a point in the middle of season 3 where we didn't watch for two weeks, and almost stopped completely. That show has a lot of filler junk.
But we were so happy that we got through it, and into the rapid-fire bangers in S4 and S5. And I'm super glad I watched S7 after rewatching the whole show, because it really just fit right in, with a little more visual polish and better cinematography. Lovely.
Also, there were a lot of episodes I had forgotten about, and some great episodes that didn't make an impression on me as a kid.
The only thing that truly feels different is just how much the animation has improved, it looks even better now and which is great!
Having also only finished clone wars a few weeks before season 7 came out, I find this new season amazing, they're focusing on my favourite characters and their arcs, and it's exactly what i wanted to see. I find that this new season is doing a great job continuing everything on seamlessly into this new season
I like how they started the season right with the clone action to remind us it’s the clone wars you know
YOu forgot that during that long break...people still keep watching clone wars from time to time.
Honestly I like these new episodes better than the Bad Batch. I don’t really vibe with the mainly action Star Wars, I like the character moments more and I actually like Rafa and Trace and don’t really see why the fandom as a whole is out for their blood.
I didn't grow up with TCW animated series either, I was already in my early 40's when it first aired, deep into my profession, and watching an animated Star Wars series, or any animated series for that matter, wasn't high on my list of need-to-do, or even fun-to-do things. But when my daughter was of an appropriate age to watch, we watched and experienced it together after I had watched the OT and PT movies together. We both loved it and began watching Rebels as it was first airing about the same time, which we also became fans of. We've watched both series multiple times, and can quote episodes as a result. While there was about a 2 maybe 3 year gap between us watching all of TCW and the beginning of season 7, I would have to say that despite that gap, the transition has been seamless for us as well.
People forget the Bad Batch arc was made for Season 6 just not completed animation & appeared on the Lost Episodes Blu Ray.
I grew up watching the clone wars everyday after I got home from school so the clone wars show has always been very nostalgic to me, the clone wars show just changes as you get older, the meaning of the episodes becomes prevalent.
Sometimes things feel different. Not because they are different. But because they're new. We haven't had the chance to binge them 1000 times and condition ourselves to the story.
Woah, Hellogreedo is 34 years old. Almost like Kenobi in the clone wars!
Captaincrab77 kenobi is Actually 38 during the clone wars. Anakin and kenobi are 16 years a apart in the lore. Anakin is 23 years old and kenobi is 38 when the clone wars ended. Kenobi was 35 in episode 2 and 24 or 25 in episode 1.
