FYI - Did you know that cats' pee lights up under a black light? You can get a little wand black light from pet stores to use to locate any patches of cat pee. Because after it's dry, it may not be obvious. It's an invaluable tool for this situation, because if the spot is not thoroughly deodorized, all cats will be hard to keep from urinating in that spot. Also, do not clean the spot with ammonia, that fixes the smell permanently there! Get a good product that contains enzymes to break down the proteins in the urine. That's the only solution that will truly remove the scent so that cats can no longer smell it there. Good luck!
Can always do something crafty with old windows in a garden. Paint them white & use at wedding as backdrop for pictures, drape flowers on them, put pictures on them of bride & groom.

In case you don’t already know, there are great enzyme products to keep the cat urine smell and oil from permeating the new floors, which they definitely will if not treated. The good news is it’s most likely either a female or neutered cat because the urine is on the floor, not sprayed on the walls. That means less of the permeating oils.
The new windows will make a world of difference to the look of the house. I thought you were crazy buying that abandoned place, but you sure knew what you were doing. I think it will be lovely and it’s a nice neighborhood as well. Good going!

I love the cream and honey coloured walls, also style of windows and the front door is perfect if it was mine I would have some form of obscured glass at the top for privacy as the floor is level with the glass, such detail has gone into the refurb, an asset to the area

Those old windows can be repurposed into something creative, so Edd don’t toss them!! The new windows look great and it’s a huge step forward. It’s difficult to remove cat urine odors so it’s good you’ll be closing up the house. Edd, by the way, we can hear you even with the drill or saw is being used. It’s getting very exciting now, so can’t wait to see what’s next. xx
