Very interesting video, nice to see a video like this and best of luck on your acting career! Lisa, if you don't mind me asking, what was the average age of your class? Did it have anyone slightly older? I'm 32 years old and after suffering 10 straight years of anxiety and barely leaving the house, finally starting to get my life back on track. I live in Glasgow, and this is the one school I used to eye-ball as a 18 year old wanting to embark on an acting career. I'm at a point in my life where I think it's simply too late, I know without a drama school and proper training, it's even harder. So I'm curious to know if you had anyone ranging from the ages maybe 28-35 or even older, or if it's just simply unlikely and something I should leave in the past? Sorry for such a long and random message. I'm in the feels here regretting my life.
@@Nasty-Nick absolutely not!! the course i did was for 15-17 year olds, but the ba acting courses are for any age. there’s often people from anywhere between 18 to sometimes even 40-50 years old!! someone at my acting school was in his mid 30s and fit in just fine ❤️ drama school is incredible, you should definitely give it a go!!
@@lisaeftii Thank you Lisa. I'm back here at 3 AM and after watching some of this video yesterday I was surprised to see everyone seemed so young, so did have a think of ''do they really accept older people in acting school? maybe they just don't hang out with the younger crowd'' but I now realize this was a 15-17 year old group and a 1 week course, that makes a ton of sense why it didn't have varied ages! As I am aware from some emails with Guildhall/RCS that in the BA / MA Acting Courses, they do have people ranging from 18 to 28 which seems to be the average age for these courses classes, and realistically, 28 isn't much different to 32, but it feels different when you're trying to tell yourself it's impossible, ha! I always presumed the e-mail just said that, but they wouldn't truly accept someone above 25-28 at the latest. I actually really appreciate your response, sometimes I let a number stop me. We're all human and I have friends who are 21 and friends who are 41, they don't feel any different to me, but my anxiety stops me. I'm going to go for it. Knowing that someone was in his mid 30s and fit in just fine makes me happy, I grew up in an area/family with a lot of judgement and I forget it doesn't exist in the world of talented people trying to progress, people like yourself uplift others and are good at heart. Good people to be around. You've motivated me from a single comment reply and I genuinely appreciate it, it's one of those 'I just needed to know' but had no way to find out. I wish you the best in your acting career and will definitely kickstart mine and see if I can get my life on track! :)

This was so informative. Thank you. Do you know if there is something similar for BA MT?
I’m so glad you liked it! RCS has a bunch of short courses available, including MT. You can check them out on their website!
Do you’s ever have mature students? I’m 29 and I really want to apply!
They definitely accept mature students, you really should apply! I loved it there
