It's a blackight. Google it! It's not the filament! The only thing a "filament" can do is burn out. Black lights are intentionally painted black on the inside of the bulb hence "black" light! A black light is for bringing out that which is hidden. Especially florescent colors and bioluminescent additives. This is not an accident!

I have been electrician for long time and I can tell they re lying LEDs don't change colors and those are black light .
I'm an electrician too. You should know that if the voltage supplied to a LED light isn't right it will change colors. Specifically if the voltage is low, white lights will turn blue. Just trying to help a fellow sparky not fall in with all these morons commenting. Chances are it's a wiring issue or perhaps a bad batch of bulbs.

That is If you have incandescent bulbs. Thats because incandescent lights give of light on a continuous spectrum. Meaning all visible colors are present. So their colors resemble natural sunlight. A white or yellowish light when provided proper voltage and a brownish or reddish light when the voltage is low. LED lights only produce light in one color on the light spectrum, blue. If they are high quality the light will be very bright and nearly white. If they're made cheaply, they will appear varying shades of blue. So whats more likely? A company looking to make profits put out a low quality cheap product or every government and millions of people conspiring and keeping a secret to install blacklights randomly to see if people glow while speeding on the highway?

@Barry Dillard I doubt anybody will walk on the interstate, however a right handed driver with hand on the wheel might very well "glow" momentarily, long enough to be caught on camera. Or if someone were pulled over for some reason, under one of these lights, again the glow.
As people become accustomed to these lights, expect to see them where people do walk.

I agree. You should plot them on a map (a satellite map). If blockade happens at those places in a chemical gas attack from a laser using that light or from drones attracted to that light, would you even have off-road options to leave your city?

Plot as many streetlights on a map as you can like I did in my recent video series. Does the color even matter. I think that bluer lights is preferred though because it scatters and drones can see them without seeing them directly.

What if they are just part of a gas trap? Notice that it is easy bump into purple when trying to even take a shortcut through grass and away from gas with these puppies. If there are alternate routes are they dark areas with no lights? See my recent videos.
Something isn't adding up. The lights are creating a clear hazard on freeways and highways. Why wouldn't the states affected begin replacing the "defected" ones and simply bill the manufacturer? A couple crews could have that entire highway "fixed" in under a week. Yet they are waiting to "see how many are defective". My logic side of my mind isn't buying that this is completely accurate.

Or a drone will pull you over in chemical gas when it breaks your windshield, and if you stall in a nearby open area taking a shortcut more points of blockade is a plus in pandemic control because nighttime traffic isn't so hot and jamming it takes extra work, but why have everyone be awake when that happens, plus wouldn't people notice the precariously parked semitrucks early during the day and try to stop that or the piles of gravel. We still have guns in this country and they can take away the keys. How else would they do it? China has people locked into their neighborhoods. Problem solved there.

As an electrician I can confirm the only way an led will change is if it has multi node diode for specific colours, normal white leds do not change colour, they either work or they dont

I don't know that the purple streetlights emit much light that would be absorbed by a windshield but some UV light spectrum range is absorbed by windshields. For instance if lime-colored streetlights were frequency doubled here, they might be within the frequency range to be absorbed by a windshield which would be bad if it was a laser, I think. In a chemical gas attack with such lasers near open areas, shortcuts, etc, this would be bad, but good for a legitimate pandemic control measure.
You are lying. You are not an electrician. These are GaN lights with a Ce:YAG phosphor. The yellow film on top. The film takes half of the blue light from the LED and converts it into longer green and red wavelengths. In this case, the phosphor has detached.

It might be easier to block people trying to escape chemical gas. They can't put construction everywhere. Drones looking for purple or greenish streetlights can do some of the work. They cannot dig up all of the open areas for shortcuts either.

For the record, Renasant bank here in Lawrenceville GA has black lights shining down on you as soon as you go threw one set of double doors. You have to go threw another set of double doors to enter the main bank. And threw the first set of double doors you have desks on either side of you,behind those desks are end tables with lamps and black lights in those lamps as well.

Just casually hold it in your hand with your car keys and point it in that direction as you're walking in. Don't make it obvious. Just be calm about it. And keep it on the entire time. Maybe switch hands once or twice. As long as you don't draw attention to yourself I don't think anyone's going to pay you any attention.
You probably could even put your cell inside a shirt pocket even with the camera portion exposed and run in there and just get a deposit slip and walk back out even.
It would need to be a sturdy pocket but you get the idea.
Just don't freak out about it and it should be fine. Even if someone were to say you can't have a cell phone for some odd reason, just be like "oh, my bad. Sorry" and act like you are turning it off. And then quickly scan the area as you're putting it away.

The only light that i ever saw that changed color was a burnt out fluorecent light it changed to a really soft pink color.
The bulb has to be coated with phosphorus to make it a blacklight. It's intentional.
Detroit has defective LED Lights that turned yellow and became not so bright and eventually went out nothing new.

Look up the blue light effect on your nervous system (some car headlights )your phone even emits them, start wearing blublocker Sunglasses if they even make them anymore. Get the app to reduce the blue light on your phone screen that you don't even know is affecting you
For glasses to actually block it, it needs a warm colour tint. Don't fall for the clear "white" ones with no tinting.

It's impossible for a regular led bulb 💡to become a blacklight. Blacklights bulbs are coated with phosphorus to get the blacklight effect. It's intentional.

I think they look cool. Always fun to see some variations in color. There's a lone street light out in the country that had a greenish color I've seen.

Blue and black lights are not legal because they don't illuminate so all of these roads that have these lights are hazardous
They're less sharp than orange lights. Warmer colours show edges more finely. Anybody who has done camera work for concerts with multicoloured lights would know how difficult it is to get a focus with this kind of blue violet light.
Something fishy is going on here with🤔theses blue and purple lights. They are being placed in different states. Walmart has blue lights in there parking lots which are called police lights🤓

Notice that they also tend to be in strategic places that serve more than one blocking role like at the 2nd house on a main road for leaving a neighborhood or near a tree line so that you cannot leave through a backyard nor through the soccer field nor straight ahead.

I have had LED bulbs in my home for several years.... none of them have ever turned purple; I’m not sure how an LED light can have a defect that turns from white to purple but I’m guessing we will see if it’s nefarious or not in the coming months.
You would think if it’s important to have regular white lightbulbs on the highways the issue would be resolved quickly.
A led light cannot just become a blacklight. In order for a black light BE A BLACKLIGHT the bulb has to be coated with phosphorus. That is INTENTIONAL.
Ah yes, because the lightbulb in your house lighting up a single room is TOTALLY comparable in any way to a lightbulb suspended 30 feet in the air lighting up a whole road surface.
They’re completely different in design and purpose, they aren’t comparable.
In my experience looking at such streetlights and lime-colored streetlights and where they are on a satellite map, they are there to somehow block traffic later that is evacuating something like a chemical gas attack.
