That small thirty second timeframe when Batman and Superman reminisce about good times and how they wished they can still be friends was a touching, sad, and well written moment.
I don't disagree with Superman's basic premise: some villains can't be rehabilitated. Sometimes you have to take a life for the greater good. Batman, however, is also right. Once you cross that line, there's no telling how far you'll go. Superman allowed his grief to consume him (and Wonder Woman made it worse). He killed friends simply to retain power. And if someone like Superman can go down that path, become this evil... well, now I can understand why Batman refused to kill. He was afraid of what he could become once he crossed that line.
Mike Carr batman doing it best lock joker up, its the legislative system allow mad man like him for not dead (suicide squades). so if you want to blame batman, youre blaming the wrong guy
That's what happens when you have too much power. Superman is my main man, but so is Batman, however, Batman was right. Superman with all this power and beginning to govern people, how is different from darksied? He isn't, an always when you began to abuse your power - there's either someone stronger, or smarter than you and will take you down.
Not necessarily. Batman doesnt kill, it againt his morals. ITs also wouldn't make him no better then a tyrant, or a murder. Because if he took one life, then taking another would be easier and so on. Which is virtually what happen to superman in the injustice series. It wasnt up to batman to kill the joker, it was the court system that should have sentence the joker to death. And that should've happen after the first time he escaped. Batman role is to be a protector and a vigilante.
Krulcifer Yeah true all that, Batman should've just put Joker in a more secure prison & let the law decide his fate & they should've just given him the death penalty sentence OR he could've just putted him into the PHANTOM ZONE where he would've had NO CHANCE of escaping!
e5pee Batman doesn't kill, if he does... he would be just a murderer/tyrant whose no better than Superman and Joker, not only that... Batman isn't god, neither does he have the right to decide Joker's death, blame the court and the government.
And Injustice Diana is like a completely different person than canon Diana. She ALWAYS chooses love over violence and war, and only goes to battle when peace isn’t an option. Superman and Wonder Woman in Injustice 1 and 2 just feel wrong.
Batman may have provoked Superman for killing bad guys (Which I don't care for) but the fact that Superman in the end kills heroes, innocent people, turned his friends into murderers and tried to destroy another dimension proves Batman's point of Superman going over the edge and now is basically insane or if you wanna say he's not than he's in denial. Love both sides of endings but the execution on who beats who in both I find lackluster.
@@rhyolite_777 In injustice 1 he said it but then shazam told him that it is going way to far and that lois never wanted this then Superman kills shazam
TheGreatLegend007 Yeah pretty much. In the last game they had to bring in Superman from a universe where he is not a douchebag to stop him. It was the most satisfying thing to watch and proof to how awesome Good Superman is.
TheGreatLegend007 Don't worry, this all takes place in Earth 2 where all of our favorite heroes are caught in a civil war. Earth 1 or our Earth, is where the Justice League still exists and Superman is the same Superman we all know and love
TheGreatLegend007 The superman from this reality is an absolutely disgusting being. Read the injustice prequel comics buddy. They contain the events leading up to the first game. And moreover injustice 2 references many of the events that happened in them :D
one of Kevin Conroys best performances. Batman’s will power to never give up and always be in the same state of mind of good and hope for mankind in a dark and unforgiving world, he could have turned evil eons ago but he is stubborn enough to never change and his righteous will power is why we love him. “never compromise, even in the face of armageddon” -Rosharch
What confuses me is what happened to the others that were on Superman's side like Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Black Adam or Damian posing as Nightwing (Rotten little brat doesn't deserve the honor of following in Dick Grayson's shoes)?
John Richards Batman most likely put them all in cells, and hell I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Wonder Woman got Superman's old cell. She would've broken out of any of the others.
Yeah the ending where Batman allows crime to keep happening because "muh morals and killing is wrong" bullshit is better than Superman ruling and keeping crime gone forever? Nah fuck BAtman
Andrew Jackson Hitler probably had low crime rates in Germany too. Bet it was a wonderland in those days. Are you actually willing to give up your freedom just for a little security and live under a tyrannous regime?
The two of them in this show extreme sides of each argument, Batman's whole slippery slope mantra is so stupid is doesn't merit debating but Superman's side is basically proving it correct when it reality things aren't black and white there is alot of grey area which needs to be accepted. This grey area in modern comics is usually where Wonder Woman stands in but given her role her that side is left weakly represented.
Yes, it's really sad how stupid decision WB fired him. BvSumc was great and we all see the flashpoint coming for Justice League leading to injustice story, but now Joss Whedon erased that timeline into a MCU potato grade movie.
I honestly wish Superman had reformed and reconsidered his ways after defeating Brainiac alongside Batman, perhaps with Kara helping to get through to him. I'd like to believe he had the potential to be good again since he IS Superman. Oh well.
Kazenshi I'm actually glad he didn't reformed. he's irredeemable no matter what he does now. nothing can make up for anything he did over the first five years of injustice and having him reform would, in my opinion, cheapen the impact of all his atrocities.
Dennis Hollimon Jr. Yeah the Superman ending went in a COMPLETELY different direction. That just goes to show us how drastic the course of history can change from the outcome of a major war or to a simple yes or no question
Define "happy." Hal Jordan's family is dead and he's struggling with his Red Lantern resurging, Metropolis, Krypton and other worlds are still gone with _very_ little chance of restoring them, and eventually, Superman will break out of the Phantom Zone and wreak havoc once again. When you think about it like that, is this ending really a happy one? Dare I say even compared to Superman's? Seems really bittersweet at best.
Dennis Hollimon Jr. yeah pretty good ending honestly thats how superhero formula works. i think its just showing what could happen when a hero isnt a hero anymore with supermans ending and how classical heros are with batmans. evil will rise again but batman and co will put supes down no matter how many times..... bitter sweet indeed but the better out of the two is indeed batmans and im just objectively looking at it after gleaming the information clean and analyzing it... yes it is. even after a devils advocate with myself.
+Stop Given how Superman is the only one to have powers beyond that of many civilizations, he practically is invincible for most of the galaxy given his powers are typically limitless. Many people will be unable to do so, unless someone with the smarts can open a dimension portal to gather help (Batman and Cyborg being the ones to do so). This ending is where there will be hope for restoration. We don't know the whole story from both endings, but there will change to how the Justice League can become stronger (Martian Man, Hawk Girl, etc.)
Such a great ending! Of the two, I think this one does the story the most justice, especially when it comes to Batman and Supergirl's arcs. Deep down, I think Batman was holding onto hope that Superman would heal and the old Clark, his friend and brother, would surface once again. It wasn't until the very end that Batman finally accepted that the Superman he knew had died the day Lois and Metropolis did. He even painfully admits to Kara that he failed to save Clark from himself. It's almost like one final, cruel, act the Joker inflicted from beyond the grave: You saved Gotham time and again, but you couldn't save your brother-in-arms when it truly mattered. That's why the Joker is the true villain of Injustice, because he tore down what made Superman Superman. Kara is in a journey to find her long lost cousin that she was supposed to protect, only to discover that he had become a monster, turning the seal of the House of El from a symbol of hope into one of fear. Thus, Kara becomes the House of El's redemption, which has yet to be achieved. Although they start on opposite sides, Bruce and Kara form a bond built on their mutual sense of finding a lost loved one as well as a sense of shared loss. You can really see it when he tells her about how he once trusted Superman with his life and how he felt he had failed to protect him from the Joker as well as how he has been grieving the loss of his friend ever since. Kara was actually shocked to see the man she had been told was evil actually cared about her cousin and shared her loss. Despite how devestated both characters are after Superman is defeated, there is still a sense of hope that, together, these two broken souls can heal. I know this will sound strange, but the relationship between Batman and Kara almost feels like a father-daughter kind of relationship. Bats seems to have that effect on the younger heroes, like Firestorm and Blue Beetle. I know some people like the dark, edgy potential of Cyber-God Superman conquering the Multiverse, but I'd be so much more interested in seeing how this new, second iteration of the Justice League forms and handles a major threat now that most of the old guard are gone, with Bats, Flash, and Green Lantern as the only original members left. Seeing how new faces like Firestorm, Blue Beetle, Kara, Harley, and Catwoman work together would be quite intriguing.
Because they're very much alike, similar to how Bruce and Clark were before the Joker made this mess: 1.- Lost their respective families in front of them 2.- They're sunk in the dark for a lot of time (Bruce in the inability to do somethin' about his death family and Kara bein' lied by Wonder Woman and Black Adam for a lot of time) 3.- Filled with Love and Hope 4.- Determined to never give up their core values 5.- Reasonin' and Understandin' are part of their personalities 6.- Both represent the ABSOLUTE JUSTICE of things. Yeah, If Injustice 3 is released someday, I want this ending to be the sequel of the future game.
Batman in this game is probably the nicest, loving and most caring character in all of video games. The fact that he still apologized was just powerful and everyone should be more like Batman
They might. Injustice is a comic series after all, the comics add a lot if exposition as to the events that took place before Injustice 2, and Injustice itself.
Mikey2102 My guess if Nether decides to make this the canon ending, Superman's ending may be the one turned into a comic as it's own storyline, that way technically everybody on both sides wins. I'm still Batman all the way but this way all the Superman fans don't feel like Nether just ignored them.
Garrett Duggan the only reason I feel this one should be the one continued in the comics is i feel it would be easier to make this into a comic as opposed to another game
Adrian Castro Fair point. What you've gotta realize though is Netherrealm can't quit on the Injustice game franchise because they'd lose too much money because quite frankly not everyone loves Mortal Kombat as much as they love Injustice, especially now with this game out. They still might make a comic of it, problem being if Batman's ending becomes canon and they want to base the next game on it, they can only do so much with the comics in between development of the next game to hold everybody off while they make the next Mortal Kombat.
Darkseid was only DLC in this game, he could still be the main antagonist for the next game. There's also Anti-Monitor and Mongul. Hell, why not have an adaptation of Blackest Night and bring in Nekron?
@@animatedink2529 I think nekron is necessary. But what I think would happen is that if Injustice 3 is the final chapter, it should end with either Superman or Batman making a sacrifice during a fight, or reset everything that happened in the beginning. I know it will not make sense or maybe wrong but it's the only two predictions I could think of.
Marto That Superdick is STILL NOT LISTENING that what he's doing makes him NO BETTER than them and forgotten who he USED to be and all because that WONDER BITCH pushed and manipulated him!!!
Even if Superman was right about some Villains being too dangerous to be left alive, I will always side with Batman. Batman has been in so many situations and so much hell that he knows what he's talking about when he says "There's another way"
I don't know man... it's so hard... I kind of agree with superman, kill villian to end crime. But at the same time, batman want to give the hope. I hope there is a way to give villian a hope while no risk are taken from our side.
Look, Superman was right with killing but was wrong with becoming a dictator. He could’ve been like Thor. Even though Thor sometimes kills, he doesn’t do it unless it is necessary. Unfortunately, Clark didn’t have an Odin to teach him.
Batman’s side for me- he realized the full weight of killing after his parents death, which I think escapes some people. I don’t trust anyone to be the judge, jury, and executioner.
I really hope Batman's ending is canon instead of Superman. Not because there always needs to be a happy ending but Batman's ending opens up more opportunities and exploration of the timeline whereas Superman's reign will seem more boring. In Batman's ending, it's inevitable that Karl will escape and rally his allies again leading up to another war. It'll be great because with new members joining the League now and with Flash and Green Lantern defected to Batman, it just goes to show how one event can change an entire timeline.
Reading the Injustice comics, I really felt the pain Superman went through in losing Louis and their unborn child. It was so sad seeing this figure of hope turn so dark. Though Bats is my man, I feel sometimes his methods are ridiculous. I kinda sympathize more with Red Hood to a degree. However, I do understand Bat's morality. It really wouldn't stop with just one life. It's simply impossible. You just try to make sense of it, excuse it. But then you keep excusing the ones that follow.

In real world terms, I have to agree with Superman: sometimes you have to put bad eggs down. Permanently. There's no avoiding that, it's just the way this world works. I'm also all for Batman's idea of protecting people rather than ruling them, and I had to pick his side when I played it through. Besides, the other ending is creepy AF.
The only thing that was not adressed in this ending compared to the Superman one, is waht happened to Braniac + the cities that were still trapped in his collection? This is definitely the better ending, Supermans is just the totalitarian dictatorship all over again, now with brainwashing added to the already crazy mix. However its a pity they haven't really adressed the overall picture compared to the Superman ending.

6:26 i think the way superman said what he said highlights his corruption or going psycho. at first he tried to sound sympathetic, empathetic or whatever, but as he ends his lines, he suddenly goes aggressive
It's pretty funny how even if you agree with superman killing criminals, all that support goes away when superman also kills heroes, civilians, becomes a tyrant and decides to go conquer other universes
i like the moment supes says to kara and batman in the end "even without my powers the Phantom zone can't hold me, ill be back." and the batman just says "we'll be ready" without no fear ! and supes just got triggered lol. thats why batman is a badass

Batman ending is way better than superman ending
freaky gamer People actually said Superman's ending was better just cuz Superman beat Batman in a fight
Well they're wrong cause that is not the GOOD PRIME SUPERMAN we've always known! This is now just a corrupted dictating SUPERDICK!!!
gibbs615 I agree with you.
freaky gamer what happened to robin
Kevin Probably he's headed to Kahndag.
for a second i thought batman was about to yell "Shazam" before headbutting black Adam
Tiny Rick
THAT WOULD BE THE BEST, OMG
Adam: Shaza-
Bats: **headbutts** Shazam this, you oaf!
That would've been the best possible reaction Bruce could've ever done, and he lost his chance. Way to go, Batman.
Tiny Rick it would've been better if batman said shazam and the lightning came down and struck black adam
doctor99268 can't only people with the power can yell Shazam and the lightning will appear
Puddin Popz yh i know that's what makes it funny
Supergirl is better then her corrupted cousin.
A.J Thomas Yup
A.J Thomas super girl is trash
Mike Carr yes
For some odd apparent reason, I agree.
+Supergirl At least you're about the House of El. They represent hope not fear.
That's what happens when you have too much power. Superman is my main man, but so is Batman, however, Batman was right. Superman with all this power and beginning to govern people, how is different from darksied? He isn't, an always when you began to abuse your power - there's either someone stronger, or smarter than you and will take you down.
Jin Kazama If only Batman had the failsafe plans he had in JL DOOM! Those sure would've come in handy for him in THAT universe!
Krulcifer Yeah true all that, Batman should've just put Joker in a more secure prison & let the law decide his fate & they should've just given him the death penalty sentence OR he could've just putted him into the PHANTOM ZONE where he would've had NO CHANCE of escaping!
all bloods on joker and superman's doing were on batman's hand, and he still play saints. what a hypocrite. a good ending fit for a fairy tale.
e5pee Batman doesn't kill, if he does... he would be just a murderer/tyrant whose no better than Superman and Joker, not only that... Batman isn't god, neither does he have the right to decide Joker's death, blame the court and the government.
Rest in Paradise Kevin Conroy 🙏🏼☝🏼🕊 You will forever be THE Bat-Man 🦇🖤
"Schemes? I'm not the one who stoked Clark's worst fears."
There is no way Diana would ever be able to rebuttal such a cold, hard fact.
Superman tried to destroy another dimension? I didn't pay close attention to the story...when did this happen?
that was in part 1 but we go by superman ending yea he is going to try for round 2
@@rhyolite_777 In injustice 1 he said it but then shazam told him that it is going way to far and that lois never wanted this then Superman kills shazam

Damm this Superman is a dutch bag not the same Superman I grew up watching in justice league
Multi verse theory man
TheGreatLegend007 Yeah pretty much.
TheGreatLegend007 our earth is earth 52
Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer
Darius Dixon You're acting like Kain from Soul Reaver 2.
Madam Web said this in the Spiderman:The Animated Series lol
Ekansh Jaiswal Oh. But I know Kain from Soul Reaver 2 said " One must keep his friends close Raziel - and his enemies even closer.
one of Kevin Conroys best performances.
Bats: I miss the people we were then
Supes: Me too
that hits me in the feels.
batman's ending was a lot better than superman's ending that's for sure
J.T Dangerously Sets us up for a new villain. I'm just curious who.
Andrew Jackson
Hitler probably had low crime rates in Germany too. Bet it was a wonderland in those days.
Are you actually willing to give up your freedom just for a little security and live under a tyrannous regime?
both batman and superman make good points but some of the villains need to die, but superman took it to the extreme
the super heroes font have to kill them the justice system can determine it based on their crimes
Remember when he slaughter 200 people burn them to death
Or when beat Green Arrow to death
So many lives lost
Robert Deffenbaugh actually it was victor zsasz that killed Alfred
Laser Pony Superman ordered him to do it.
This Superman is Zack Snyder's wet dream. But in all seriousness great ending.
someone should show him that game and ending and say : "see zack ? this is how you do batman vs superman !"
lol, thats very funny. The movie is one of the ew things wherebatman is in the wrong for once.Injustice is a trash story
Josea Bianco k lol whatever
Yes, it's really sad how stupid decision WB fired him. BvSumc was great and we all see the flashpoint coming for Justice League leading to injustice story, but now Joss Whedon erased that timeline into a MCU potato grade movie.
@@redgluster BvS was bad and with aquaman being great and shazam looking great as well I say good riddance
I honestly wish Superman had reformed and reconsidered his ways after defeating Brainiac alongside Batman, perhaps with Kara helping to get through to him. I'd like to believe he had the potential to be good again since he IS Superman. Oh well.
Kazenshi I'm actually glad he didn't reformed. he's irredeemable no matter what he does now. nothing can make up for anything he did over the first five years of injustice and having him reform would, in my opinion, cheapen the impact of all his atrocities.
ainsley toledo
i actually want him to off himself once injustice finally ends after he realizes what he's done
Kazenshi if Wonder Woman didn't open her mouth
Maybe he can....but i doubt it
Kazenshi Yeah that Superdick STILL WON'T LISTEN and come back to his FORMER SENSES because he had to let that WONDER BITCH get to him!!!
Lmao there would be no injustice 3 would u want that?
Batman winning over Superman still makes more sense than Cassia Cage winning over CORRUPTED Shinnok
Batman happy ending Superman not a happy ending
I think bittersweet describes it better
+Stop
Given how Superman is the only one to have powers beyond that of many civilizations, he practically is invincible for most of the galaxy given his powers are typically limitless.
I'm team Batman all the way, great ending
Same.
Me too. I would want to put a end to more than 5 years of fighting
Same
Same here. Batman is in the right as far as the feud goes
I'm on Batman's side too. Batman was right. #BatmanWasRight
that last moment where batman and superman talk about Lois being pregnant is great.
And then superman *sucker-punched* batman just to be a dick.
MisFiT Productions Then Superdick just SUCKER PUNCHES Batman!😒
Because they're very much alike, similar to how Bruce and Clark were before the Joker made this mess:
1.- Lost their respective families in front of them
2.- They're sunk in the dark for a lot of time (Bruce in the inability to do somethin' about his death family and Kara bein' lied by Wonder Woman and Black Adam for a lot of time)
3.- Filled with Love and Hope
4.- Determined to never give up their core values
5.- Reasonin' and Understandin' are part of their personalities
6.- Both represent the ABSOLUTE JUSTICE of things.
Yeah, If Injustice 3 is released someday, I want this ending to be the sequel of the future game.
Batman in this game is probably the nicest, loving and most caring character in all of video games. The fact that he still apologized was just powerful and everyone should be more like Batman
Very true
And one thing to add, He almost never says thank you or apologize.
I want them to continue from this ending in a comic or something because it was great, anyone agree?
Adrian Castro I want them to continue superman's ending it will be more interesting >:)
this became more like a telltale series with just fighting

Darkseid was only DLC in this game, he could still be the main antagonist for the next game. There's also Anti-Monitor and Mongul. Hell, why not have an adaptation of Blackest Night and bring in Nekron?
@@animatedink2529 I think nekron is necessary. But what I think would happen is that if Injustice 3 is the final chapter, it should end with either Superman or Batman making a sacrifice during a fight, or reset everything that happened in the beginning.

Besides, the other ending is creepy AF.
from watching Invisible, and the boys....Superman is definitely holding back this entire time...
It hurts my heart to see what happens to green lantern. He practically lost a hand.
Kilgar they'll likely expand some of it through comics while building up to the next game.

No. Just the best one. Batman is continuing with new people. And while to me, they won't be as good as Conroy, for someone new, the new person will be THE Batman.
It's because of Diana he's cold blooded
Well after what Joker did, she then manipulated Kal's grief and made him even WORSE!
