I’ve seen several clips from this concert and it warms my heart to see Johnny and Robbie doing the strumming guitars so close together. They usually aren’t standing close together facing each other thing that rockers often do.
Back again in Feb 2025 for only their second ever headlining show in Australia. The first was is 1998!! Crazy that they never toured here much. Always thought this was their biggest fan base outside of Nth America, and Australia has 5 or so large enough cities to make touring worth it.
Thanks so much, Kerrie, for posting this excellent video. I absolutely adore JR and the Goo Goo Dolls and so wanted to be there to see them in AU and NZ. Fortunately for me,, they are back in the States soon and I will get to see them here in Florida in a couple of weeks.
@chrisserong4966 awesome I'll check it out. I'm seeing them in brissy next week and when they were here back in 2001 and I was 11 they played a few songs from gutterflower and I fell in love. Big machine is one of my favourites and I hope they play it ♡♡♡ I wish they had some independent shows as well but happy to see matchbox 20 too ♡
Lucky!! I so wanna see them again! They did play big machine, I got some of it in my Facebook live haha. Honestly regret not filming their whole set I thought I was going to run out of battery and my arm was hurting 😂
www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-goo-goo-dolls/2024/rod-laver-arena-melbourne-australia-1bad95c4.html this was setlist, and they have been playing same setlist all over I believe. ❤
@@leahw2124Have a great time at the Brisbane Show. I would go again tomorrow if I could. Matchbox 20 were unreal too. I just hope Johnny is in a better mood in Brisbane than he was at the Rochford Wines show 😅
i saw them in perth recently. annoys me so much how often Johnny stops playing his guitar!! matchbox 20 was miles better than goo goo dolls. far tighter and just sounded way better.
Thanks for posting this! John’s amazing voice …. Just as good live! ❤️🔥❤️

Johnny has gotten excellent voice range, his classes are making him so much better to hold a chord 👍
Classes?
@@georgedorr5301 Well, he could always hold a chord/note - but he does have a vocal coach and does warmups before every show.
Yay! Thank you so much for posting this. I still have hangover of their concert last night in Brisbane. ❤❤❤
John sounds Amazing and the whole group is just great hope to see them again if they ever come to the Upper peninsula of Michigan.
Wasnt always the case. Much better than the dunkard. It was disappointing. Maybe it was because he was celebrating the soon to be marriage.😅

Bring back fabulous memories of that night! ❤
Thanks a lot for sharing, I was there but distanced. I flew more than 5000 miles for Iris and so worth it.
Love this song and group!❤🎉
Thank you! Especially for Iris, that is my favourite song of all time! What a joy hearing it live!
Can't wait for them to come to Kansas in September. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing stuff. Thanks for recording it. I can't believe John is 58.
Vampire suck.
This was an amazing night! Both bands were perfect!
This is really great. Thank you so much!
Thanks for uploading. I was there!
Thank you for sharing!
Yes they did
Omg did they play big machine?!
Yes they did. You might find a recording of Big Machine from the Rochford Wines show on Feb 17.

Couldn't disagree more.
Completely disagree with this
