Memorial of Saint Maximilian Kolbe, Priest and Martyr Ezekiel 9:1-7; 10:18-22Psalm 113:1-2, 3-4, 5-6 Matthew 18:15-20
Biblical: Jesus in our gospel today suggests a practical way of dealing with reconciliation.
The first is to talk to the person who wronged you. Communication is the key to a peaceful relationship. Whether it is about a problem or a decision-making, there should always be an understanding between two parties. In the case of a reconciliation, a heart to heart talk is necessary. If it did not work, then proceed to the second way.
The second is to call a witness. A mediator is helpful in creating a neutral space between two parties. If things cannot be resolved between the involved parties, then a mediator is necessary. If it is not amenable, then the third way could be the answer.
The third way is to bring the matter to the church or seek advice from priests or religious figures. Counseling is a way not only to understand a certain matter or situation but also to understand one’s self. Knowing the answer to the problem is one thing, but knowing the source of the problem is another thing. There is nothing more effective way of reconciliation than to understand one’s self.
If still the third way does not resolve anything, the fourth way could be the best thing to do.
The fourth is to ignore the person and give space to each other.
Reflection: These advices from Jesus practically provide a simple yet effective way of dealing with misunderstandings to prevent arguments and gaps between people. However, the most common way that people usually choose to deal with reconciliation is the fourth way, without trying the first, second, or even the third ways.
Kaya nakakapagtaka, gusto ba talaga ng tao makipagkasundo? Kung ganun, bakit mas pinipili ang hindi pananahimik kaysa pakikipag-usap?
Walang nalulutas sa katahimikan. Maaaring napapalampas pero hindi ibig sabihin may nalulutas.
My dear brothers and sisters, there is nothing that good communication cannot resolve. Communication is the key to a peaceful relationship.

Amen! Reconciliation understanding between the two parties‘meaning communication, mediator is needed , unity to help one another to walk towards peace. Let our hearts be filled with love, compassion, understanding,humility to solve problems/ differences between enemies so that the 4th factor is totally erased.
