I love listening to Elizabeth! This is a very interesting episode. My experience with social workers was based on foster care, when we did that. More recently, my husband was in the hospital and we had a social worker get with us. She would have helped us get rehab if we needed it. It was nice to know that we had some one to stand in the gap if we needed them to.
This is a beautiful interview and very timely for us personally to hear, as we seek to be an asset in the city where our church is. This is an answer my my prayers as i look into the direction of study that i have been considering. I would love to sit down and chat with this lady!
Agreed! I just accepted a paid position doing social work in the city also. This is very timely and insightful for my life, especially how to deal with situations that might put us in an awkward position such as dealing with people participating in activities which we might not agree with.
