This is excellent!! We used coffee too :) We had a wonderful teacher who brought Barton to our small community, which gave my children the tools they needed. She patiently taught and walked beside my children for years and was such a blessing for advocating and blessing homeschool and private school families. Both of my students have gone on to higher education without accommodation’s the time invested is well worth it. Children will struggle but if they are given time, encouragement and tools they never loose an interest in learning. Thankyou for raising awareness!
She was my 2nd grade teacher! She was my best teacher I ever had! And in fact, the only year that I ever received honor roll! My first grade teacher, I cried every day that I was there she had no patience! She was a nice lady, but I don’t think she was meant to be a teacher! School was really hard for me! But Ruthanna was my best best teacher! I love her♥️
This struck a deep cord with me ! The dyslexia explained was extremely interesting! Maybe because at age sixty I can self diagnose that I have at least a small percent of Dyslexia. I could never learn well because of dis function and abuse at home .I think every teacher should have there eyes open when a student is having a hard time learning in school .Now as an adult I learned I love to learn! In my area most of the teachers are so young because the salary doesn’t support someone who lives on there own married or not . 😢 But even young teachers can validate and make students feel safe if they don’t feel safe at home .
I can relate to this so much. This struck a deep cord with me. The way she explained dyslexia was done realy well. I went to a small school and had teachers who didnt know how to help me. Im thankful to have a word to put my experience into- academic trauma. Im thankful for a teacher later on who was able to help me and give me tools and a safe place. Thanks for creating this video and spreading understanding and compassion. Iv sent it to several people already.
I can really relate to this, ,to this day I am a poor reader, english and spelling were very difficult then and today, I was a hands on learner, my brother and I had some special education for this problem in our early education, this was nearly 70 years ago. Thank you for this pod cast.
We homeschool and have definitely found that we need to tailor how we teach to each child differently according to how they best learn. But, that's because we recognise that education is simply discipleship of one's worldview as it applies to different areas of life - we're discipling little image bearers of God to think Biblically about maths and science and history and art. We don't have to drag in Marxist DEI categories, which are antithetical to God's law, in order to do so, which is what Kuhns seems to think we need to do. This is clear evidence that Liberty University has gone Woke.
I am really confused, how you think she is using Marxist theology. It seems more like biblical theology to me. Our Father God is Compassionate, understanding and merciful to his children.
@@anitastoltzfus5031 The Woke, cultural Marxist crowd likes to hijack emotionally charged words like compassion and empathy and then play fast and loose with their definitions in order to control the dictionary and advance the revolution. Perhaps Kuhns doesn't realise that she's imbibed aspects of their ideology as it pertains to education, but she's actually acting as a water-carrier for them and unwittingly helping them to advance their antichrist revolution. For Leftists, the issue is never the issue - the issue is always the revolution.
This is SO GOOD! It is something that we need in Sunday school, the work force and many other places in life.
