Thanks Derek. I got to do 2 of the things I love the most and the scenery was fantastic so it made the photography very easy! I'm hoping to get back there again in 2025. And yes, I reckon Sean made a very good choice 😂
Thank you so much Ash for your lovely comments. It really is why we do it and I hope everybody gets that chance. Thanks for all your support of the channel, take care, Catherine
Another fantastic film, music and ambiance. You certainly did a bit of research to get those pictures. One doesn’t happen across the trawler ( wreck ) . with Ben Nevis in the background. And capturing the lochan, flat calm, in the light is another victory. You are not only a great photographer but an excellent film maker. ( And angler ) Combining your interests and taking us along is an honour and I thank you for that. Scotland is a beautiful place and is protected by the weather and the midge. If you ever get the chance to see it when the sunshines, it is a different world. We spend our free time in the Highlands and get to see all seasons but there is nothing quite like a sunny warm day to get a different perspective. Summer this year was a Wednesday in July😂😂😂😂
Hi Bobby, thank you so much for your amazing comment, I'm really touched by it. Yes, I always do plenty of research on wherever I'm going - it gets me more excited about the trip before I go. And some of it is luck too, the wind dropped as I got to Glencoe Lochan and I stood by the wreck for nearly an hour waiting for Ben Nevis to show her face to me! It truely is a beautiful area and I hope I get the opportunity to go again. Thank you again for your kind words, we always put everything into making content for the channel (Scotland made it easy to do!) and we'll always try our hardest to get new content out. Take care, Catherine
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed the trip and I'm glad you did too! I love photography as well as fishing and it was easy to do at such a stunning location. I'm hoping to do it again but not sure where just yet. All the best, Catherine
Thanks for your lovely comment and great words about the channel. I had a great time which probably reflects in my voice but really glad you enjoyed it, I certainly enjoyed my trip away. Thanks again for all your support, take care, Catherine
Aw, thanks Jason. I love pollock just for their name! But they've also got stunning colourings and give a good fight! Hope you're well, take care, Catherine
Definitely agree with you on needing more women in fishing . And yes to clear the head and all the nature we see as anglers not sure about the exercise though by the time I carry my gear and get to my swim I just want to sit down. I love what you and Sean are doing maybe one day we can have a hour .
Dont you just love Scotland, great scenery. Photos very good and the fishing looked very chilled. I can smell the seaweed which always shouts holidays. 😀
Thank you very much stu i would highly recommend giving it a go its so much fun on light tackle as you said. Thank you also for the mention of my photo's its a love of mine and the two of them went together perfectly on my break away. Thank you for your support of the channel, it means a lot to us. Take care, Catherine
Thanks Ant! Lol! I'll let him go out if he behaves! Sean's sat here laughing - he says I've to get pollock, he'll concentrate on the pike! All sounds a bit fishy to me! Thanks for your support, take care, Catherine
That looked like a really good days fishing. I enjoyed that. Ive not been sea fishing since i was a wee boy. Pound for pound pollack are supposed to be one of the best fighting fish in uk waters so that would be great sport on light gear. I tell you what that was some amazing photography in that film as well so hats off to you Catherine. If your lucky you might get a shot of a golden eagle up there one day. I seen one when i was on holiday there when i was about 10. The highlands really are an amazing part of the world all year round. (If your dressed properly and have midge repellant, waterproofs and sun tan lotion with you!!)
Hi Paul, thank you so much for your kind comment. It was great fun and they certainly give a good fight. Being on light gear makes you think you've caught something huge! Thanks to for your compliment on the photography too, it's something I really enjoy doing and Scotland certainly makes for some really good views! I'd love to see both an eagle and be there when there's an aurora and yes, I'll have the midge repellent with me! Take care, Catherine
@luredbyesox I've never seen the northern lights either but would love to. You can see them sometimes in northern Scotland although I recon Scandinavia would be better. (pike fishing is meant to be out of this world as well!!) but the cost of living is through the roof there compared to uk.
Thankyou iain weve never done a lure fishing video in the sea before so thought it was a good idea for variation it was all catherines work this one she was nervous about it but the fantastic comments she,s got really made her happy thanks again mate 👍🙂
@@luredbyesox she should be very pleased with her efforts 😎👍 good luck to you both now it’s big girl season, looking forwards to your next adventures 😀
Well done for the fishing footage it looked a bit wild out there but obviously well worth it . I’m a fly fisherman and also a keen landscape photographer I just loved your images I’d be interested in what lens you used . Looking forward to the next video 👍🎣🎣🎣
Thank you so much! The lens is a Sigma 17-50mm which I've had for a long time now but it's my trusty go to lens. The weather was wild at times but gave for good conditions for both fishing and photography. Take care, Catherine
I wish more women were out there fishing and I'd love to help change the idea that it's a male sport. For me, fishing also includes, headspace, reflection, fresh air and when you're moving swims a lot, a good bit of excercise! 🙂
Top show Catherine plenty of action and some beautiful photos of Glen Coe . Sean you did good marrying an angler as well as a brilliant photographer.
Thanks Derek. I got to do 2 of the things I love the most and the scenery was fantastic so it made the photography very easy! I'm hoping to get back there again in 2025. And yes, I reckon Sean made a very good choice 😂
Beautiful Scenery, beautiful music, beautiful Angling. ❤️🎣
For all those that have never tried it, this is why we do it!
Well done Catherine! 👏

Lovely video!! Where is this? I’m up in ballachullish on holiday and looking to catch some pollock.
@@Geogazm hi there, it was in Ballachulish! There's a peninsula with a drop off close in. I found fishing on a rising tide best. Good luck 🤝🙂
@@luredbyesox sorry I’m staying in south ballachulish, not far lol. thanks again, I’ll try tomorrow

Sean was due to go to Sweden but it all got cancelled due to Covid. Great for both Northern lights and Northern pike!
@luredbyesox I think it would be a phenomenal holiday. Don't fancy eating the tins of fermented fish though. Not for me thank you!!
