I just got a new electric skateboard and I live in Tokyo (near Odaiba). Is there a place you recommend to go practice, some large square area one can lear to carve and play?
Are there rules.. traffic rules.. law... on eskates like this in Japan? I am planning to use one to got to school and my part time job using a eskate...
It's a mixed bag. Some people say it's a gray zone, some other people say it'l illegal. Follow the rules, be polite and maybe avoid riding in front of police stations/on big streets and you should be fine.
@@davetastic6620 Avoid police, got it! 😆👍🏻 By the way did you brought your board to Japan or you purchase it while you're already there? Im not quite sure if there are any physical store that sells esk8 in Japan 😅🤷🏻♀️ Thanks!
@@nya___nya I’ve been thinking of bring the eskateboard with me. So what’s like to eskate in Tokyo? Is there any police men stopping you from skateboarding to the school?
I got a new board, and I ride around Minato usually without a problem. Always on the bike lane. Sometimes police shout something from the car, but never chased. Sometimes I skate near large areas (Toranomon, Tameikesanno) next to the police, without any issue. My friends who can read law in japanese told me if it there is not traffic or not many people ( "something like you are riding safely") you should be allowed.
you ever get stopped or told to get off your board? I got stopped in Ueno and Akihabara ... aha!
Hey man, I’m planning to bring my electric skateboard to Tokyo, is it legal to eskate there?
Its not street legal in japan. You only allowed to skate in parks.

It’s legally not allowed on roads In tokyo, you can only use it on the bike lanes, you can however use it on low traffic roads outside the city.
