  • Today we have five pens full of trouble! The bulls need to be moved to a new pen, the piglets need to be moved to pasture, and the sows and boar need to be moved to new quarters. You never know what will happen when working with animals!

    Another great day on Just a Few Acres Farm. YOur little piglets, I am amazed at how fast they have grown. No doubt, they will love that pasture, their first experience outside. Your wife didn't look too happy doing chores this morning. Maybe she just needed a second cup of coffee. Love it when you interact with all the animals. It just "makes my day". And, YEp....I am having a delicious egg salad sandwich for supper tonight.....but that cut of meat that you smoked looks so much better! Hugs to you and your family, Bev in Maine

    No,127 viewer mmm chicken, just ate 3 eggs and some bacon. My pop said when bulls get zapped they tend to run straight through the wire. My grandparents dairy bulls were angry buggers. Freisians I think. I couldn't imagine patting a bull. Your lucky. 11.33pm here. Goodnight Pete.

    I have been watching your videos for months now, and I think this; To you and your family it's good, honest, work... doing what you love to do... and I totally appreciate that, but more than that to me, it's an adventure each time. Some many things are pulled up from my memory and I get to relive the life I loved, before I got stupid. What you do and the way you live is magical and refreshing... like a breath of fresh air.

    I found your channel a couple weeks ago and I’ve been binge watching your videos ever since. I love your content. Your dad jokes are corny but that’s what makes this channel unique and I wouldn’t want your videos any other day. Some videos I find boring some I find awesome but I watch them all.     I'm not a farm guy but I grew up in the Pacific Northwest Eastern Washington farm country.My buddies are all farm boys and it always amazed me how fearless they were around livestock! I would imagine that those little pigs could pack a WALLOP of a bite on a guy! LOL!

    Me and my Fiancé are going to soon be buying a plot of land and we will both be first generation farmers! We are going to start small as I continue my 9-5 job as a Data analyst. But I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration and that we both have a goal of farming full time. You truly inspired us and we always love seeing your beautiful family enjoying the farm and caring for the lovely animals! Thanks Pete!

    Pete, the chuck roast looks great. You gave me some tips on how to do my next one. For the last one I cooked, I didn't wrap it in foil, and I can see that it works very well, along with the apple juice. I'll have to give it a try.
    I think you little pigs are going to love their new pasture.

    Somewhere I missed that the door was a problem, but every time you say something about the door, I just chuckle and laugh! You and Hilary are wonderful and I so enjoy life on your farm! Good, bad, all of it. Those cows though, bossy ones for sure eh!!

    Pete and Hillary-It's always a pleasure watching your videos. I used to farm until I decided that I needed more income if I was going to retire. It was hard leaving that way of life behind.
    I used to say that the calves liberal education was learning to respect the electric fence. That's all they needed to know.

    Such a good natured pair of farmers you two are, have to look twice when watching your clips, your voice reminds me of Jay Leno, and well now that I have stated that, you look like you are releated.

    Nice to see you wearing the correct T shirt today. Go Bucks! When I was growing up, my granny kept a slop bucket beside
    the wood cook stove. It contained all the old biscuits and cornbread from the day before along with any veggie scraps and dairy off the days churning from the milk cow. I'd hate to imagine a world without pork. Sausage and BBQ pork is so good!
