  • Are you unsure of which compound or polish to choose for the job? Follow along as we break down the full line up of compounds and polishes to better determine when each should be utilized. Starting with the V-Line you have access to heavy compounds for removing deep defects like scratches and swirl marks, and lighter polishes to restore pure reflection and glossy depth for unbelievably-shiny paint.
    Not every car requires a 3-step polishing job. For cars with light to moderate swirl marks, scratches, and defects, VSS is the perfect one-step polish that cuts hard like a compound and then finishes in like a fine polish to restore a lustrous shine and deep reflection in a fraction of the time.
    For lighter imperfections try using V4 All In One Polish to refine the finish while adding a protective layer of sealant.
    When fiberglass does get scratched, swirled, and faded from UV solar rays, it needs a tough compound to remove swirls and marks that mar the finish. Phase 5 uses a hybrid abrasive compound to cut away deep swirl marks and scratches, then refine the finish to restore deep gloss, pure reflection, and brilliant shine.
    Remove swirls, scratches and towel marks with the combination of C4 and P4! C4 is developed for fast cutting paint correction without long work times and is designed and developed for tremendous results in the shortest time possible. P4 polish technology effortlessly produces flawless results with your DA or rotary polisher. The versatile polish is capable of correcting 2000 grit and finer sanding marks without dusting or leaving behind residue.
    Headlight plastic is sensitive to harsh UV rays, which fade the plastic, turning it hazy and opaque. Simply rub the refined cream formula into the faded headlight plastic with a buffing microfiber towel until it turns clear.

    Omg thank you for this video! I was so confused by all of these and what to use and when. For the V line, what Do u recommend pairing as a polisher? For example, would I use V36 after cutting with V32?

    Lol , you are very thorough on what each product can do. But you should show an example of say a hood for each product that we would need to use. I feel like the C line would work on my car but then when I go and look at it . I start to doubt my self and thing maybe I need the V line lol.

    Awesome video, where do C4 and P4 rank in the V line of polishes? For example does C4 fall somewhere in between V32 and V34, does P4 fall somewhere in between V36 and V38? Thanks in advance!

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  Рік тому +1

      C4 would have a similar cut to something along the lines of V34 and P4 would act as more of an in between V36 and V38.

    I have a black honda with minor scratches in some areas, a little deeper scratches in other areas. Which steps would I take to insure that all the scratches will be removed? And what exactly to use for this process and to protect the paint job from the elements for a better shine.

    To all of the professionals out there that may read this or anyone that maybe this that has been detailing for quite a while Chemical Guys usually don't reply to any messages that I post now they may do that for you guys but not for me I have a question for this community of detailers
    What do you recommend using for paint that is how would you say the clear coat is starting to fade and not be shiny anymore and losing its luster even though you may polish it other compounds but still can't get the luster to be restored rashine

    Love all your products and they do work but what about when your car is outside unused and it rains and when it’s done raining and the sun dries the water on the car you now have water marks.

    • @patdeleva7072
      @patdeleva7072 Рік тому +1

      Water spots from rain aren’t as likely to leave heavy stains in the clear coat, most of those should wipe off with a spray wax or a quick detailer. It’s the hose water and sprinkler water that have high alkaline levels in them, and those alkaline deposits are what dry to the clear coat and are hard to get off. For the water spots that don’t wipe off, try the chemical guys water spot remover gel, it works great!

    In order to remove a ceramic coating from a car is V38 with a white pad enough, or would I need to use V36 for some cutting?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  Рік тому

      Hey! An abrasive is necessary to remove ceramic such as V36 or even a compound like V34.

    Do I need to clean my pad after each section? Or do you use the same pad for the whole car then clean?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  Рік тому

      We recommend inspecting the pad after doing each section to ensure it's still clean. If it get gunked up with product or contaminants then we would recommend washing it in between panels.
