She said it lightly so it doesnt sound so serious, but to me that kind of parenting is borderline abusive/toxic and not having second option/ plan is risky as well
Guess it shows, that Lui-nee play-streams Nocturne, a game I was briefly introduced earlier in my adult life, and boy oh boy, the Persona series are tame compared to this Shin Megami Tensei title.
I didn't interpret this as a problem, just Lui reflecting. Personally it feels to me like her mom realized that giving her no fallback was the only way to make her *sort of* try, if just barely. There's probably a reason she was sent to a prep school in the first place.
Omg Lui-nee's mental denfense stats are high af. I would have gone actually violent had my mother been like that. Don't anyone dare to disrespect my wishes for quiet.
She raised Luinee after all, of course you wouldn't expect a normal mom
Raised a comedian 🤔
Eagle throw her chick out of the nest to force them to fly, but this is just lui mom being borderline kusogaki
HoloMoms are the best. Even Chloe’s who sent her to New Zealand to touch grass
And apparently never taught her what a bed sheet is…
Correct: Chloe's mom sent her to New Zealand to touch *W A T E R*
It was a lapse of judgement from Chloe's mom
She thought her daughter was smart enough to know it

Between Takamama and formerly working for a Black company, I can understand where Luis mental toughness comes from

Lui: "My mom played games while I studied"
Holomoms branch when?
Maybe Ame just crush this branch if she heard that news
Mamatori takamama and dad doggo are the only confirmed gamers I think
We need a Matsuri mama, Mamamori, Olliemama, Takamama, Phoenixmama and Peafowlmama that's gonna be perfect combination
Lui Mom: There is no second shot. Hit it or miss it.
"Git gud."

Lui-nee's mom decide to go the Spartan way XD
sasuga takamama
That's why I don't trust people who say "burn your boats (have a backup plan/escape route)", and you shouldn't too.
I thought burn your boats mean don't have backup?
Since the idea is without boat you can never go back; you either succeed or die there.
I love so much how she proceeds to cackle at her own jokes right after saying them lol
I still cant get over Lui's voice.. English or Native its so GOD DAMN HOT!
Hawk mom raised their child in a hard way
dat wiper laugh tho. xD
Imagining “Mom, I’m trying to study English. Can you at least use headphones when you’re playing Apex?”

The same mom who was probably playing golf while Lui was bleeding in the head 😂Lui seems to be amused with her mom rather than bitter though.
Funny way of telling her to "deal with it."
her mom is an interesting and independent person lol

God but is shonen god awful for training. I've seen maybe 2 good examples and the rest sre trash.

Are we sure Lui is a hawk and not a seagull? Because her laugh sure sounds like a seagull.
Now we need to hear Takamama
Her mom behaves exactly like my mom, but for the prep-school she would look for a private school behind my back just in case lol
Wow Luimama is a straight up gamer badass
Laughing through the pain. :(
Takane-mama sounds pretty hardcore.
Seems like a good grandma to have.
Kids will love it if their grandma is a badass gamer.

Lui ojou sama confirmed
Hawkmama did nothing wrong. She just wanted Lui-nee to play the game of life on hard like a true gamer.
Honestly, even if Lui hated prep school, she still somehow came out as a proper lady and oneesan and all of the holo girls look up to her
Lui's mom sounds like the stern sensei figure the shonen protagonist meets in the beginning of the series.
Why do most of the holomem has had issues with their moms? Quite concerning, yet sad.
