Idk if its bc not cultural to get rid of furniture or if its bc ppl just put their good wood pieces in the garbage right away... But i persevere... Want to buy a mitter saw but its like 1600 moneys here (it hit us just like 1600 dolars would hit an american or canadian)

I just moved a dresser this month and changed out the gold handles and knobs with crystal diamond 💎 shaped rainbow 🌈 assorted knobs. Absolutely love the basic top that you added, and the hardware for the upper doors. I’d personally prefer the legs to be closer to the edge. With them set back, the visual (and maybe actual) center of gravity feels higher. Black is one of my all time fav colors, so love that as well. I’m curious: are there high shine waxes, or other finishing products, that work on chalk paint? I love a velvety look, but am wondering about ways to make it more reflective. Also, really like your most recent hair cut!
I am a fairly new quilter, and have made 6 lap size quilts with many mistakes. I have come to the conclusion that because we are not perfect, mistakes happen…AND no one but me is going to know about them. My only secrets to the grave…😜🤐🤣 great job!!

Oh Danie - I'm so torn! The finished piece looks fantastic (flaws accepted). Totally fantastic, on its own and compared to the inspiration. But, and, though, the thrifted piece ALSO LOOKED FANTASTIC!! I'm a bit mortified that you took the steal of the century, $30 for that gorgeous cabinet, and whittled it down to a square flat book shelf. I was sobbing, Danie, you could have built that out of MDF!! (although, not for $30). So we started and ended with perfection! I only wish both pieces were in the world together. Thanks for coming to my shed talk.

I have always always wanted to try glass hutches or cabinets like that.😍 Unfortunately where I live it's very difficult to find items like that or anything close to it. Locally it's very expensive even on marketplace ect. We have a place called reused & habitat for humanity but they are still very expensive like let's say 150-200$ for those long glass doors. I'm not exaggerating. I've been thinking alot about using those vinyl or PVC sheets of like faux glass 🤔 if you know what I mean to use in place of real glass doors? The rest of the build I can probably figure out but I'm stuck there. Any thoughts or have you used that material before? I loved this one 🤙

Idk Danie.. obviously the result looks nice, it's a nice cabinet, you did a good job building it! But to me it looks very generic. You could have achieved the same thing by putting glass doors on an ikea cabinet and that's kind of disappointing. I think the original cabinet had a lot more character. I had similar feelings on your apothecary cabinet flip tbh, I thought the original piece was very interesting, but you removed a lot of its unique details (like those weird handles, I've never seen ones like that before!). What I would love to see you do instead is taking plain generic furniture and turning that into something more unique. Or trying to work with the existing characteristics of a piece instead of removing them. Anyways, I still love your videos and I'm curious to see what you do next!
Danie, I have so much respect for your talent. It's also always fun to watch your videos for your sense of humor. Loved your hair straight with the bangs! A very cute look on you. I do not use tools except for a screw driver and hammer, so I applaud your abilities there. I have a tall ( retro, custom-made ) gun cabinet that has glass doors and no lock. ( A no- no in today's world.) If I could have someone retrofit some shelves in the top portion, I'd love to use it for dishes or art supplies. I love the black paint idea, too, but I know my old cabinet is made of nice wood. Not sure what kind of wood? Thx for the inspiration. You are the best!

The piece is amazing - I've currently got a coffee table I'm working on out in my workshop that I really hoping I can find a great home for, and your channel never ceases to make me want to get out there and be creative (as flawed as I am) - Thanks Danie for another Sunday morning inspirational giggle.

Idk Danie.. obviously the result looks nice, it's a nice cabinet, you did a good job building it! But to me it looks very generic. You could have achieved the same thing by putting glass doors on an ikea cabinet and that's kind of disappointing. I think the original cabinet had a lot more character. I had similar feelings on your apothecary cabinet flip tbh, I thought the original piece was very interesting, but you removed a lot of its unique details (like those weird handles, I've never seen ones like that before!). What I would love to see you do instead is taking plain generic furniture and turning that into something more unique. Or trying to work with the existing characteristics of a piece instead of removing them.
Anyways, I still love your videos and I'm curious to see what you do next!
Danie, I have so much respect for your talent. It's also always fun to watch your videos for your sense of humor. Loved your hair straight with the bangs! A very cute look on you. I do not use tools except for a screw driver and hammer, so I applaud your abilities there. I have a tall ( retro, custom-made ) gun cabinet that has glass doors and no lock. ( A no- no in today's world.) If I could have someone retrofit some shelves in the top portion, I'd love to use it for dishes or art supplies. I love the black paint idea, too, but I know my old cabinet is made of nice wood. Not sure what kind of wood? Thx for the inspiration. You are the best!

This is amazing Danie! I have an old pie safe I've been wanting to transform. This is perfect for that. What kind of chalk paint did you use? And did you poly or use wax as a topcoat? I'm really scared because I've had this piece for thirty years but it's just a replica from oak wood. Think I should do it? Don't know if I should paint it or leave natural
