12 shows in college in the 90s .. it was amazing
So it's not Weir's best performance ever. After decades on stage it's a miracle he still gets up there for us and I'm grateful for every note. Even the bad ones. Adds character. Mayer saved the day in this video. These solos rocked.

My dad bought two tickets for this show and left them behind in TN, realized we forgot them by the time we were in KS. Needless to say I missed out on the show but I saw them in Maryland Heights this year and I had a great time. I would have been 13 at this show and I don not think I would have made it out alive lol
I really love this band that Bobby Weir chose , it’s very good especially John. Mayer ! He has it going for himself !

It's a bit hard to listen to this in comparison to the Europe 72 recording, just feels off, very stiff, like the musicians aren't locked in together. But around 4:25 they start to groove a bit better. I still love that John Mayer is doing this music though.
I think 2016 may have been their best year so far. Seems to be at tempo and raw element to it. Also songs selection is fantastic. They seem to be slowing down a bit, well Bobby is, Mayer can tear it up if he wants to on command. Beats nothing and hope they come back with new energy and dont get stale (a bit like the dead did towards the end)
They all knew Jerry was on his way out & this broke their hearts ❤️❤️🌹🌹🎶😱🙀♥️🥳✌️🫶🏼

Anyone know if Bobby's guitar is a Valley Arts? They were 7/8th size and the guitar he is playing looks smaller that a Strat.
It's an artist PRS, specifically made for him for the D&Co., and its got some similar vibes to what Jerry's guitars could do. Sweet one too eh?

He didnt ditch it, he does both. He alternates between dead and Co and his solo tour.

On the contrary, John Mayer is the first guitarist to do Jerry justice since Jerry. I've seen all incarnations of the dead/further since Jerry, and Mayer is by far the best and most faithful to Jerry.
