Beef and Marinade
1 lb (450 g) beef flank steak (or skirt steak), sliced against the grain into 1/4” (5 mm) pieces
1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup cornstarch
Sauce
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry)
1 1/2 teaspoons rice vinegar
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Cooking
2 tablespoons peanut oil
Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
