First time watching your video was doing research and landed on your channel . I work in Kuwait I am interested in graduate chapter. I love your energy
Hey Soror, love the video! One suggestion I would add is not to do an 'awkward pause' on the blanked out name of the questioner. Just say, "my name is anonymous". It will be clearly understood by the audience since you also have the actual question shown in the bubble. Love ya and keep up the good work!
Thank goodness! A positive video! I've seen so many denouncer videos lately. I could understand by their comments that they really didn't understand what they were doing by joining. Nobody is asking them to substitute God for a Greek mythology figure! Nobody is asking them to worship an organization and put it before God! Symbolism vs reality. Thank you for your perspective, soror.
Hey, Soror! I just recently pledged the Delta Alpha chapter of DST at Bethune-Cookman University in March 2020! This video was SUPER AMAZING.. & I WISH I had this back some months ago & even during my freshman year!! Lol.. I had so many of the same questions such as Delta’s relation w/ Christianity & even looking into a chapter while not knowing any active members! This hit everything dead on the head. I just know this will be a tremendous blessing to so many others as well! Thank you for this!! #AOML 🔺
This is my first time on your channel and I love it. I have been looking at videos about DST and i think i really want to join when i go to college. I still have some time because I'm only a junior in high school but I just wanted to check it out
Tbh It has always been my dream to become a delta when I grow up but I’m only a kid so my question is, is it hard to become one?And what does it take to become one?
Heyy I’m a first timer & Thank you for such a great informative video ❤️. My question is ..is it a requirement to have community service to be apart of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. or is optional depending based on your chapter ? My second question is will not having community service lessen my chances into being in the sorority ?
Hi! Thank you for watching! 😇😇 So, this organization is a community service based organization. I can’t say anything specific, but it would be great if you did some community service since that’s the basis of Delta!
I got it from The Lovely Wall Co on IG. It's removable and perfect for apartments!!! You can find the information in my Kitchen Makeover video: ua-cam.com/video/6aceW0Jua_I/v-deo.html
Hey Sunshine! How are you? Firstly, THANK YOU for making Greek and Acting tip videos. They are very helpful. On to my question. I graduated undergrad with a 2.67 and immediately went back to the same University to obtain another Bachelor’s degree (so that if I decide to pursue a Master’s degree, I’ll feel more confident about my gpa). Would I meet the gpa requirements for DST’s alumnae chapter if I was to use my 2nd Bachelor’s gpa or do I have to graduate with my Masters? Does your sorority still have the 10 year loop hole? (Waiting 10 years after you’ve graduated and your gpa will be omitted) Thank you in advance for reading 😊
Hiiii! I am so glad you enjoy my videos!! 😭 Your best bet is to contact the chapter you are looking to join! You can find the chapter locator on the DST website!! I hope this helps you! ❤️
@@TyraTheCreative Thank you for replying. Can’t wait until you post the next acting tips video. I plan on taking acting classes when I move to LA in a year or so. Maybe we could meet up and possibly do some skit videos or something. Blessings 💙💙💙
I have a question if I graduate this spring and receive my bachelors and continued going to the school to take classes as a non matriculated student would I still be eligible for an undergraduate chapter ?
My concerns are my tattoos (they vary and size and are everywhere) and a few piercings (nose and ears). I do no not want my interest of expressing my love for art to become the one obstacle of holding me back. I believe I reach every requirement but appearance. I don’t want them to have. The wrong impression of me or see me as not fit. They can be covered with the right attire. I would like your knowledge of it because it’s holding me back from trying to join. Thank you xo
you actually make a very valid point, even though there are no rules that say "you cant have tattoos" some people automatically associate a lot of tattoos with other negative stereotypes. I'd honestly say, if you can cover up, then do it. you don't want that to distract anyone, because some people have their thoughts about tattoos and you don't want that to under your chances. But, there are TONS of tatted people in greek organizations. so, don't think that you wont be able to be one at all, I look at it like this, dress like you'd dress for church when you are doing sorority stuff.. I hope this helps!! you are so welcome and thank you for watching my video!! ❤️❤️
1)Do you have to be in school to be a delta, 2) do you need a diploma or a degree to be a delta 3) How can I find a alumna chapter in the area is there a website?
What’s the difference between active and inactive members? I come from a LONG line of deltas so going in I would be a legacy but I’m not ready to let my family know bc I am not 100% sure if I want to join so I don’t want to get their hopes up just in case I decide not to so I don’t want to ask them. And what do you need to have the active member to join for? Thank you !
Hey Jada! I think you should’ve let your family know! They can give you more indepth answers than i can! But an active delta is one that has paid dues for the current fiscal year.
Hey, first timer. ♥️ I also have some questions. 1.) Do you have to be a sophomore to be eligible, or you can be a freshman? 2.) What is the process (or steps) on becoming a delta, or any sorority/fraternity? 3.) What is crossing? Thank you. ♥️✨
hey stephanie! these are the types of questions that get answered once you attend rush, and you can find out the eligibility requirements on the national website. you have to have a certain amount of credit hours to be eligible. the steps are there as well. and "crossing" literally means when you become a member of the organization!
Hi I have a question! I’m currently at a CC and I would be transferring to a 4 year, would I have to wait for a year after I get there or would my hours at the CC transfer over! Any help would be appreciated thanks!
Yes, the interest meeting is rush. Lol those words are used interchangeably along with informational or informational meeting! 🤗 so, business attire! 🤗
Delta official colors are CRIMSON and CREAM . PYRAMID COLORS ARE RED AND WHITE. SINCE CRIMSON AND CREAM MATERIAL WAS OFTEN HARD TO FIND. THE SORORITY USES RED AND WHITE. YOU MAY SEE BURGUNDY OR DEEP PURPLE. ALL THIS IS ON THE PUBLIC WEBSITE.
If there is only one DELTA, on that campus. then there is no chapter. It wouldn't hurt to get to know the one. If she transferred. She may not be financial and may have personal reasons why she transferred. For most chapters. There are public service events.that someone may be able to volunteer. Character and public service are essentials.
Hello, my concern is not being able to join because when I was younger my nerve got cut in my hand causing my pinky finger to not connect with other fingers. It’s an concern because I know deltas position their hands into a pyramid. Thank you in advance
THAT WOULD BE DISCRIMINATION. PLUS BEING ABLE TO MAKE THE SIGN.DOESN'T DETERMINED WHETHER YOU ARE ACCEPTED. CHARACTER. PUBLIC SERVICE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS. DO YOUR RESEARCH
I’m sorry, my UGH is not pointing at you. I just want her to make the right choice. She is 18 and making her own decisions. I just want her to make the right choice. Be blessed
Hello How are you I ran across this video my sister past away this year and she was a Delta and she had a lot of paraphernalia only thing that I took was her line jacket that I will put on her birthday I know you guy do a lot for these letters and I am not geek will it be disrespect to put it on just for one day please advise
I just recently did my interview for DST, I did terrible and ultimately got my rejection letter. It hurt so much more than I could imagine because I’m a senior in college and wanted this forever, but at my university it has been suspended for my first 2 years in college. Is there anything you can suggest me to do for the future to become one? I graduate in May.
If you have graduated and are still interested in becoming a Delta. Learn if there is an ALUMNAE CHAPTER IN YOUR IMMEDIATE AREA. GET TO KNOW WHO THE MEMBERS ARE See if you can volunteer in some of the public events. Learn if they have plans to do a membership intake, so you may get invited to the informational rush. Learn as much as you can about the sorority. Character. Grade point. Public Service are essential and re- commendations. You may be able to talk to one of the members to learn what you may have done incorrectly. Also depends on the college. Campus size and how many young ladies were interviewed. They may have had a certain number, theycould take in. What did your rejection notice say. Was it an email, form letter, Or note or verbal communication? I wish you success. .
I know I’m coming to this video late but I have a question. I attend Harris-Stowe State University and I am interested in Delta Sigma Theta but there isn’t a chapter on my campus according to their website but on the Delta Sigma Theta website it says that there is a chapter, how would I go about finding the chapter on my campus? Follow up question if there isn’t one are there requirements to restarting a chapter on campus and do you know how I would go about doing that?
you should get in contact with the faculty over greek life and ask those questions, they will point you in the direction of Delta faculty members and I would go from there!
Isn't this ST.Louis or East ST.Louis. contact the Alumnae President. But there is a collegiate chapter near that institution. It seems you are an undergraduate student.
Yes!!!!, HOWEVER, Make sure it is an authorized meeting with an advisor( s ) present. It should have been made public. Not a secret meeting. If you want to learn. Attend a Formal Informational Rush. Know who are the DELTAS . THEY SHOULD INTRODUCE THEMSELVES AND THEIR POSITION.
For membership into DST. You should receive an official FORM LETTER.not word of mouth or email; although each chapter depending on whether a collegiate chapter or Alumnae. May be at the decision of the chapter. But you should receive a formal form letter and it may advise you what next to do. There is a process for each phase.
I am interested in being in a D9 sorority however im afraid that i may not make it due to the fact that i might not have what it takes and that due to COVID-19 i may not pledge
This is a question for the advisor of the chapter. Because I really don’t know what to tell you guys! I know I have international sorors, so they did it some way!

I have gain interest in Greek life. But at the same time I am still doing research. And I founded ur video to be very helpful.
I too am at WMU and the question for a mentor was really helpful!

I have a question if I graduate this spring and receive my bachelors and continued going to the school to take classes as a non matriculated student would I still be eligible for an undergraduate chapter ?
No, you would not. Because you’ve received a bachelors degree. You’d have to join alumni

What do you feel about yourself and what do your tattoos. and piercings convey?
1st timer.. looking up Delta as I want to pledge
Good luck with the process!
1)Do you have to be in school to be a delta, 2) do you need a diploma or a degree to be a delta 3) How can I find a alumna chapter in the area is there a website?
Hey girl! You can find all the answers to this on the delta website! The link to the website is on the description box of this video! Just go to FAQs!
It seems harder to get into the Grad chapters because it’s invite and they barely have frequent lines
What’s the difference between active and inactive members? I come from a LONG line of deltas so going in I would be a legacy but I’m not ready to let my family know bc I am not 100% sure if I want to join so I don’t want to get their hopes up just in case I decide not to so I don’t want to ask them. Yes CC hours and GPA WILL BE CONSIDERED. YOU MUST MEET ALL REQUIREMENTS, BUT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT BE ACCEPTED.
LEARN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.
I am kinda new to this channel but what should be the dress attire for intrest meeting
Or was it the same as rush lol just a lol confused
Yes, the interest meeting is rush. Lol those words are used interchangeably along with informational or informational meeting! 🤗 so, business attire! 🤗
Thank you for this information.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi! Can you tell me if the colors for delta red white & black?!!! Or burgundy & crème? I’m so confused. Asking for myself lol
Crimson and Cream!

I’m glad you could get some information from my video for your daughter! 🥰🥰
Once you get on line how are you positioned
Hello How are you I ran across this video my sister past away this year and she was a Delta and she had a lot of paraphernalia only thing that I took was her line jacket that I will put on her birthday I know you guy do a lot for these letters and I am not geek will it be disrespect to put it on just for one day please advise
Hi, I am having trouble finding out about interest/informal meetings. Do you know how I could find out about it even though they are secret?
Website
I was looking at DST probates and came across your video
Did you like it? Did i answer a question you have about greek life?
I just recently did my interview for DST, I did terrible and ultimately got my rejection letter. It hurt so much more than I could imagine because I’m a senior in college and wanted this forever, but at my university it has been suspended for my first 2 years in college. Is there anything you can suggest me to do for the future to become one? I graduate in May.
Did you get an email or letter in the mail or both?
If you have graduated and are still interested in becoming a Delta. Learn if there is an ALUMNAE CHAPTER IN YOUR IMMEDIATE AREA. GET TO KNOW WHO THE MEMBERS ARE
See if you can volunteer in some of the public events.
Learn if they have plans to do a membership intake, so you may get invited to the informational rush.

Also depends on the college. Campus size and how many young ladies were interviewed.
They may have had a certain number, theycould take in.
What did your rejection notice say. Was it an email, form letter, Or note or verbal communication?
I wish you success.

Why do D9 include 'incorporated' after the name

Where can I buy that shirt?
I bought this from one of my friends, I'm asking him now and I will let you know ASAP! :)

First time here !!
Hi! Can you provide insight on what this question means to you?
Have you ever been affiliated with Delta as a Pyramid?
Thank you!
Should I still go to an interest meeting even though I will be a freshman
Yes!!!!, HOWEVER,
Make sure it is an authorized meeting with an advisor( s ) present.
It should have been made public. Not a secret meeting.
If you want to learn. Attend a Formal Informational Rush. Know who are the DELTAS .
THEY SHOULD INTRODUCE THEMSELVES AND THEIR POSITION.
If collegiate applicants are rejected after an interview, do they receive an email or letter in the mail?
For sororities or for college acceptance?
For membership into DST. You should receive an official FORM LETTER.not word of mouth or email; although each chapter depending on whether a collegiate chapter or Alumnae. May be at the decision of the chapter. But you should receive a formal form letter and it may advise you what next to do.
