    📒100% Honest, Real Reviews, Advice & Opinions📒
    I would like to make it completely clear that like all the reviews and advice that I give on the #BestBinoculars Reviews video channel and website, this is my honest and completely genuine opinion and I am in no way compensated to describe a binocular in a particular way or with a bias.
    In other words, if I think a binocular or a feature on it is great, I will say so. If I think it is rubbish or it is weak in certain areas, I will also point them out.
    Before writing and publishing any binocular review, I thoroughly research, test, and use the instrument in my office as well as out in the field. I also conduct comprehensive comparisons between the binocular under review with a number of benchmark binoculars in both good and bad light conditions.
    Whilst I make every effort not to, I do make the occasional error or am sometimes supplied with the wrong details. If you spot any mistakes, please feel free to contact me either in the comments section, via social media, or on my site, so that I can rectify it.
    As always, I love getting feedback and your opinions. it is these that help me improve and continue to supply you with content, advice, and reviews that you actually want to watch.

    Excellent video! Thank you very much! I especially enjoyed the technical explanations on cost and effect tradeoff. With online shopping, it is harder to compare binoculars for optical performance. Far too often the metric used for comparison tend to be price, dimension, weight, field of view, magnification. I really appreciate the fact that you have gone beyond those easy metrics and talked about the details so many overlook!

    Great video. Depends on how much money we have. In most cases, with small binoculars we have a narrowed choice. I think Best to buy is a porro design, 8 or 7x25, and fully multy coated BAK4...allways! Others is waste of money.

    Hello, sir! First of all, thanks you for all the information!!! It was super helpful. I am new to the channel and i ended up in your website.
    I will go for the Hawke Frontier 8x42 ED X . However, I'm in Poland and the website i was about to buy them says they weight 725 gr, which is not marching with what you said in your review. So i was wondering if maybe they are not actually selling an old model of them? Actually you did mention that the 43 version is a little bit heavier, around 740 gr. I've doubts, i don't think the shop is trying to scam me but i also don't know if they are accurate enough to name the product properly... Any recommendation?

    Thank you for your great videos and blog! Not sure if you'll read this, but if you do, do you happen to have a recommendation on a compact waterproof binocular that is tripod mountable?
    I saw the Pentax Papilio II 8.5x21 was your 2024 compact pick and it hits almost all my requirements except for the waterproof part.
    I was thinking of maybe saving up for the Steiner Wildlife 8x24 and gluing a female camera mount onto it.
    The main reason I'd like it to be tripod mountable is because i think it would be neat to have it on a quick release camera clip so I could attach it to my backpack strap.

      Hi there, thanks for the comment and the question. I am not sure what setup you have on you backpack, but another option woyld be to glue a garmin mount (used for mounting bike computers) cheap knockoffs of the design can be found on ali express etc. Also, a gopro mount could work. Also look at the aziac binoclamp system www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/aziak-equipment-bino-clamp-review-12/ another option are the Opticron Traveller 32mm binoculars.. Whilst not strictly a compact, they are as small as many and the advantage is you get larger lenses for better performance: www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/Opticron10x32TravellerBGAMg-88.htm

    I'm wondering how long cheaper binoculars last compared to pricier ones, and whether there is actual data out there for this. For example, if the pricier pair costs 3 times as much but lasts 5 times as long, it will be the better deal long-term, plus I'll get a better viewing experience out if it. Warranty may also make a difference, but should I be wary if the warranty is TOO good? Is that a sign that the binocular is actually super cheap to make, so it makes economical sense for the manufacturer to just hand me a new one anytime anything goes wrong? And what about resale value?
    I guess it's complicated...

    looking for a pair of binoculars for bird watching / general wildlife. Would either the 10x26 vanquish or the 10x32 raptor be well suited, or would you recommend me going for a 10x42 sized pair instead ?

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  3 роки тому

      Hi Falken - The good news is all are better than nothing and there is no completely wrong choice! As for the size, your choice of 10x26 vs 10x32 vs 10x42 largely comes down to convenience versus image brightness (especially in low light) - So if you strongly value ease of carrying over low light performance and image brightness or if you only go out on bright sunny days then a 10x26 is the way to go. If however you want a binocular that better handles lower light conditions, and are fine with carrying a larger, heavier instrument, then the 10x42 is the way to go. The mid-sized 10x32 - is often a good balance between the tow. One point to mention here is unless you are viewing over longer distances. You can go for 8x instead which will improve low light performance even more in all size categories as well as widen the view, which for birding in forests etc can be important. For more, take a look at the following videos and guides: 8x42 vs 10x42 Binoculars www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/8x42-vs-10x42-binoculars-10/ this will explain what I mean about 8x vs 10x and also look at 8x32 vs 8x42 Binoculars www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/8x32-vs-8x42-binoculars-11/ which will go over the advantages the respective sizes have over each other.

    • @Bestbinocularsreviews
      @Bestbinocularsreviews  3 роки тому

      Hi Aman- neither are better, it just depends on what you need/or want. an 8x21 will smaller and perhaps have a wider view, whilst the 10x25 will probably be a fraction larger, have a narrower view, but give you a little more image detail at longer distances... I hope this helps. Whilst different configurations, take a look at my BinoWars series www.bestbinocularsreviews.com/blog/tag/binowars/ where I compare different setups as they will give you a good idea as to how different lens seizes and different magnifications affect a binocular. Hope this helps.

    Of VERY interest!
    My lil spat is what is it that you're using the binos for?
    I think if one needs to perfectly identify the colors of a rare bird or other type of animal, an expensive high end glass binocular would be what one is requiring.
    On the flip side however, if you're looking for a flock of geese or a large waterfowl species, perhaps a less expensive binocular would be sufficient.
    Rather it be an expensive high end glass binocular or a less expensive binocular, just remember, neither one is capable of capturing the image. This is where a HIGH end SIGMA camera lens attached to the Canon 70D would come into place!
