I'm surprised you don't have 5 kids already with all the dad jokes you've got in this video.
😂
feels like something is missing here🤔 oh yeah your favorite model hehehe great video babe!
WHY DIDNT YOU HELP ME I WAS STRUGGLING
@@BradyBessette YOU SAID YOU DIDN’T NEED ME
I aways need you
Get married already 😇
*You two ROCK!* 🤘🏽
Haircut!!!
Yes!!!
The only thing that kind of jumped out at me in this, is that the establishing shot when you warmed your hands it had less light than your face on the palms, even though in reality - if the light source is the fire, they would be brighter. Maybe one of those little RGB lights hidden by the fire container from the camera pointed up would help that. Really impressive that you could tackle something like this on your own out there. Great job
You've no idea how much you help us no budget filmmakers!
That warms my heart!
Beautiful tones in that scene mate !!
Thank you so much
Hells yeah! Love it bro thank you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yo yo yo! Thank YOU
love your videos man. Quick one, if you bounce light off a white surface to a light skin person, will it work on a dark skin person? won't it look off?
Thank you so much, I’ve found that sometimes it could just use a little closer of a bounce to bring up that shadow level. I’ll also place darker skin subjects closer to lights when blocking, and the more light skin subjects further.
The same can apply to light and dark clothes
Big fan... how would you go about lighting/filing a full band or each individual band member playing? love your videos man
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!!!
Fucking awesome!
Everytime you release a new content, it always makes me think why you only have 75k subs. YOU DESERVE A MILLION!!!
Good video! I think that it's worth reading what Néstor Almendros says about fire as a light source in his wonderful book Man with a Camera. Also, he talks about the issue a bit in this interview about his work with François Truffaut, which was published on UA-cam yesterday: ua-cam.com/video/uL9UiW62JbI/v-deo.html
Only question I have is how long did this batteries last on the 300c ??
Great timing! Shooting a campfire scene for a music video tonight :D Going to use these tips! Thanks Brady
Wow it’s like I knew! Good luck!
thanks for your video!
Thanks for your support!
Great video!
Tip: Don't use the word "diffusion" in place of "fill". Alternatively say "diffused light" :)
6.1 aperture do you think its cinematic?? Or hou can you justify this aperture??
BTW I love your work ...keep it up...
Brady I know the song you used in the sfx is from musicbed but what is the name I think it would work perfect for my short
Love the video! Where did you film this? I'm struggling to find a location that can be used for a campfire scene set in the 1800s on an extremely limited budget in/around Los Angeles. Full day shoot. Any suggestions?
Used this for test shots last night. So helpful!
Tell us about fstops in lighting fixtures... Using lightmeter... That is messing out more... Can you make that clear? It confuses a lot
Question from an amateur: I'm looking into lighting equipment for an outdoor night time shot, and the website I'm at that sells/rents equipment offers me lighting but I don't know what kind of numbers I need to be looking for.
If you were in my shoes and you were to choose a power output between 2K and 20K, which one would you recommend, the low end 2K, high end of 20K or a number somewhere between the two?
Thanks for any help you can offer and also thanks for doing this campfire lighting vid. I feel one step ahead now than I was before.
AGAIN WATCHED AND DOWNLOADED.. >THANKYOU VERY USEFULL
What is name app you make breakdown lighting (animation ) in video
Check my description at the bottom! Daniel makes great elements that I assemble In photoshop
Thanks so much
Hey Brady. Thanks again for your great content. Could you please share with us the software you use to make those lighting setups as seen on 3:49? Thanks!
Of course. And thank you! I use the elements you can find at the bottom of my descriptions, and I use those in photoshop!
Night scene expose Slog 3 +1 - +3 ?
Thank you very much
I have a weird question. How would you do this while shooting day for night?
My best advice is work with a colorist that is capable of doing so, and then time your day and plan your direction of shooting into the sun to be able to still achieve desired shadows. I haven't tried it for a look like this though!
@@BradyBessette Awesome! Thank you!
believe me this tutorial is better than studying in film school
kindly I want to know how to create noir film look especially in doorway stairs and shadow on the wall how to get this shadow especially we see the whole wide shot , where they put the lights to get stairs shadow on the wall
This was SO helpful, as an emerging, solo indie filmmaker stuff like this helps us stand out as creators even when we don’t have the highest end equipment.
Thank you.
Man you are amazing ...help alot..Thanks you
Felt 8:44 min like..was in a classroom...learning from favourite teacher..thanks..and yeah that model is missing....😂😂😂
Thank you!! 😂😂
Have watched almost all your videos - have learnt so much. How do you make those light diagrams?
any lowcost lights that you recomend?
Why did you keep your aperture at 6.1? I would've guessed a t2.0 for a night scene. Just wondering
I wanted to be able to see the texture in the trees in the background!
Underrated UA-cam channel😭
Yes he did it
Oh yes I did
Thanks for video 👍👍👍
Brady your videos are simply outstanding and super helpful!!! Love them and subscribed.

First🤔 think so

This is 🔥 pun intended!
Braddy, big fan of ur channel and been attending the class since day 1, but i searched for "lighting a moving scene" and got poor results can u please make a video on "How to light a moving scene" like car chasing or action scenes where actors are constantly moving.

Needed this setup for a shoot, thanks man! Great content as always!
Good luck on it, thank you!!
Excelent!!!
again with another great content, I got my new BMPC 6kPRO but having a hard time with exposing the black getting noise everywhere, Could you please create a video relate to how to properly expose BMPC 6k
Gotta get one first!!
As far as I know if you shoot raw you have to do some denoising in post
@@sansan-fb2eu thanks san
So the noise will be there we have to take on post .
@@RootCinemas there definitely might be something you are doing when exposing or there might be something with the camera. So I would watch some videos on exposing the bmpcc and maybe contact the customer support just in case. But as far as I know cameras that shoot raw don't have any denoising in camera.
Dont expose with iso, keep it in the native iso for lowest possible noise
thank you so much !!
Now I want some graham crackers, marshmallows and cookies! Made me hungry. Thanks.
Very cool 👍
Thank you man
I'm going to shoot this scene, this video will help me. Thank you :)
Woah, the hair
Eternal Appreciation for you, as always, Brady, my Awesome Brother! ☮️

@@BradyBessette Very Welcome. YES! By the end of this year, I bet you'll be around 150-200K, hehe. 👍🏾
Hey Brady. Thank you for this video! It was so helpful!! How do you get power your lights on the exterior scenes?
It's amazing how much you can learn on UA-cam. Thank you.
you are a legend mate! thankyou!
thank you so so much
Compelling video Brady! (I know you already do that) but was wondering with all these helpful videos
Are you going to do a video where you go through all your lights and also give alternative options! In details!! Just an idea and excited for your next tutorial! Thanks Brady
I use to think Lighting requires so much work and is a difficult thing to do, but now you've given me so much ideas of how to actually light up a scene.
was about to shoot a project for my class and this saved me. thanks for the niche topic!
Great job Prof! I LOVE YOU!
Amazing stuff, as always! We actually have a campfire scene to shoot soon, so this was super helpful!
These are the best educational vids on lighting I have ever seen on UA-cam! thanks so much for sharing
You are a big inspiration, am learning so much
Nice, the overhead schematics help alot

Brady you should have an apple on your desk like a teacher
It’s the students job to get me the Apple :/
@@BradyBessette bet! Set up a P.O. Box I got you!
