I found a vw rabbit truck for sale online. It was Diesel with a 5 speed. It looked in decent shape, but it did need some work, it was out on the west coast. Maybe if I was younger I would have gone out to look at it. But at my age I don't think I could make the drive out or back, and I can't do much work on my own anymore. So I will keep looking for one in my area.
The good part of the west coast ones are they are generally less rusty than what you can find on the east coast. Maybe the right one you can have shipped to you

Whatever happened with bus
Still have it, life keeps making it hard to work on it.
why not the forceum tires? on
Only in the winter.
Get a Jetta or cabinet dash
I just can't bring myself to do it. The early MK1 (75-80) dashes are the best looking setup in my opinion.
