- Ever see a roll of brilliant uncirculated Franklin halfs and wish you could go back and time and stack them deep? Is the price of classic Morgan dollars or Silver Eagles pricing you out of the market? We'll take a brief look at American commemorative half dollars and then consider the benefits of these little known but impressive 40-year old sleepers!
I mention Mr. & Mrs. West Texas Stacker@WestTexasStacker in this video. Be sure to visit their UA-cam channel!

I picked up a few of those Washington halves 2 weeks ago as I had nvr seen them . 👍🇺🇸
This program virtually brings a coin club into my home. All the best. Thank you.
@@gregoryhoefer3660 Thanks for watching and commenting! Nice to hear.
Stumbled up in here.... halves was my entry point to silver.... walkers. Love Franklin's, Kennedy's I scoop.... but you showed something I'm not aware of..... still watching... I have a Columbus.
very informative thanks
@@dukenukem001 Hail to the king, baby!
Yo........ I been in this game since 2008...1st I'm seeing this 1982....I'm on the HUNT! Thanks.
Have you seen the 1986 liberty halves ?
I've got a stack of 1986 liberty halves and one of the 1986 liberty dollars 🇺🇸
This presentation was great! Every question my tater tot eating brain conceived was answered with your next sentence. Thanks for sharing.
Hey thanks, I appreciate that!
I like the in-depth instructional video preserving commemorative silver coinage history. Very nice tutorial instructing attention to detail
@shannonharris2602 thank you!
Amazing. Thank you. I am loved the lesson. I am on it!
I did not know there was a 1982 Washington half proof (ignorant Englishman 🙂); they are very pretty. And great, informative video - thank you! 👍
Actually the half dollar in the in ur 1993 commerative set is 90% silver. The other years r clad. But the 1993 is silver.
DOH! Good catch. The 1993 Bill of Rights half is 90%. Typical Dub-C: pick the one half for illustration and it's the wrong (or right) one!
Superb video, as usual. I always look forward to your new ones!
Hi Dub-C, really appreciate your videos.
Shush, you're letting out one of my secrets, and now the price of those GW commeratives will go up!
Heck yeah! Another Washington stacker! :)
I love stacking modern proofs. I own multiple modern silver commemorative dollars, presidential metals as well as many silver quarters. I am trying to buy proof Kennedy silver half dollars right now.
One can find deals on these if he looks hard enough, especially state and women’s quarters. I have bought some of these below spot and almost not too much over, with a few exceptions for coins I love like modern Presidential medals or really cool modern commemorative proofs.
I collect old Mercury divers and Walking Liberty half dollars wit many great examples, so I am not keen on the damaged junk silver. I prefer buying new silver that looks great..
@@sinesaii Great ideas all around!
US commemorative 90% silver dollars and a couple of 90% halfs like the Washington on the resale market have been my go to stack coin. Still US coinage but without the premiums of Morgs and Peace.
@rickybobbytexas3487 Exactly! Good to see another half stacker.
I'm partial to the 1986 Ellis Island silver coin.
I have the 1986 half and the 1986 liberty dollars 🇺🇸
Excellent video!
Gracias, Amigo!
Thank you for the great tutorial. I love the Navajo rug as well. Collect those too? (I do...)
Hey thanks! I do collect some native American pieces, from jewelry to pottery to art. I talk about the rug a little in my 3,000 subscriber Question & Answer video if you're interested:

@@Dub-C_Coins Definitely! Thanks again and you got another sub - keep it up.
also i like to pick up the commemorative silver dollars minted in the 80's when the price is right.
@@joelp6197 Smaller mintages than the Morgan and peace too!
Interesting 🤔
Alright.....like the way you think. Subbed....
Thanks! Appreciate it!
there were several proof half dollar coins minted after 1964.
True. But even the silver ones were only 40% rather than 90%.
I can get either or proof orr non proof.$10.00 each
Heck of a deal!
