I'm younger than this generation, but I used to listen to a radio statio than plays this kind of music RJ 100. Now you bring back childhood memories. And you played it so well, put me in a very relaxing mood
Our combo "Surf Sonics" lead Nonoy Vallacer played this in our gigs around "63/64. The crowd would call out "Swit! Swit!" and grab their partners. Enterprising dudes would "bakud" their pick. We use to visit the Electromaniacs at their manager Jose Mari Gonzalez's studio in San Juan for guitar tips. Ernie Delgado/lead played this on an orig cherry red Gibson SG400 w/Swiss echo machine. Other members were Chito Perez (2nd lead) Fender Jazzmaster ,Emil Caballero /Fender Precision bass and Lito Toribio (Premier drums) . Lito gave drum lessons to our mgr/drummer Rolly R. Our lead played this using at first a Fender Strat , but like Bill, Nonoy discovered a Fender Jazzmaster sounded closer to their Gibson SG400. Thanks for the memories.
This tune was composed and recorded by Ernie Delgado with his band the Electromaniacs in the early sixties, not '80s. Ernie was visiting from Manila with his drummer and bass player in 2015 and I had the chance to jam with them together with a lot of former Filipino band members from the sixties who now live in California.
Nestor would that be in Knotsberry Farm during the reunion of Pinoy Classic Rockers? I met him too but he was in a hurry to leave, so his son was the one that stayed with us and Lito Toribio.

Inspite of playing instrument sometimes in the band, I'm still loving to hear these instrumental songs, it's so cool & relaxing.

correct - Much much earlier than the 80's . . .Coach Mel

Two thumbs up... Very nice
This was popularized in 1962, not circa 80's
An instrumental piece that dominated the airlanes in the 60s originally penned by the electromaniacs, a filipino band.

Originally played by Eddie mesa and the electromaniac..
By jose mari head of the electromaniac band! Not eddie mesa who had no knack for music.
@@gerardoconcepcion920 so c Eddie mesa sa the hijack..
Correction please Jose Mari and the Electromaniacs...Eddie Mesa is with the Hi-jacks..
