- In this explore, we venture inside the Famous Hellfire Caves, sat underneath West Wycombe mausoleum (Dashwood Mausoleum) and church.
The Hellfire Caves (also known as the West Wycombe Caves) are a network of man-made chalk and flint caverns which extend 850ft underground, and up to 300ft below ground. They are situated above the village of West Wycombe, England.
The caves were excavated between 1748 & 1752 for Francis Dashwood, 11th Baron le Despencer (2nd Baronet), founder of the Society of Dilettanti and co-founder of the Hellfire Club, whose meetings were held in the caves. Benjamin Franklin is also said to be a famous name to have visited these caves.
Deep inside, the Banqueting Hall is allegedly the largest man made chalk cavern in the world! The caves have been a tourist attraction since 1863.

Not a problem, it’s an awesome place! Karen was telling us how spooky it is and her experiences there which was cool. Hope you enjoyed the vid 😁😎
That was brilliant and you got Ray good! 🤣
Thanks 👍 And yeah he’s easily scared 😆

I'm strangely drawn to this place. There's something spiritual about it for me. I was born in High Wycombe and first visited the caves when I was about 8, I've been many times since. My grandparents are buried there

St. Francis Folly of Tomb Raider 😍
Good filming guys but the sound wasn't great as to much background talking.i came to Hellfire caves in April but wasn't allowed in as a camera crew were filming
Thanks for the feedback. That’s a shame, I think it gets used quite often for filming. There was a big group of people arriving as we left to seems to be busy most of the time.
👍👍👍
👍
Has Colin Furze seen this?
I very much doubt it
Children's cave?
@@tactlacker not specifically no but can see why it might appear to be
Stop saying Folkes ffs
STEVEN BETWEEN 4:53 AND 5:00 YOU RECORDED A GHOST AS FOG SLOW THE SPEED DOWN TO 0.25 TO SEE IT WITH UA-cam PLAY SPEED 0.25.👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
I see the 4:53 one but that looks like my breath where it was cold. On the other hand though it can’t be as it would be doing it with each breath. I don’t see the one at 5:00?
@@ExploringWithin I agree i t would be with every breath if it was caused by your breath that id say 70/50 it might be a ghost.
@@stormchaser300 Might well be. Good spot though! I’ll check my body cam footage as well for that time frame and see if that caught anything 👍
@@ExploringWithin That's a good call it will be interesting to see it captured anything.
@@ExploringWithin Merry Christmas by the way.🎅🎄🍬🕯
